I used Puffin Free Browser. Worked perfectly with a 14 day free trial for Flash. It worked well for Flash videos so I would buy the full version.

Is there any timeline soon that apple users will be able to open things that need adobe flash player? I can not even play any games on Facebook, I can't open certain files, pictures sent to me or things like forms I news to see when I am not home

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Thank you hopefully can give me some info about the status with this or if there wen is one. I would have thought that being a company such as you are that it would already be taking care of right from the beginning and not wait years to take care of somewhat that is very important ro have especially when there is so much our there using Adobe Flash now. I am not sure if this is just a blog with customers or if the company actually sees these posts but I am just hoping company or not that someone knows something about this. PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLING DOWNLOADED FILES OF LATEST ADOBE FLASH PLAYER UPDATE

after downloading the files to update my adobe flash player, I get the "DOWNLOADS" window pop up as it usually does. So I go to "double-click" on it to install the latest update, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS!!!! No other window popping up to ask my permission or no other window asking me to "RUN". I tried uninstalling and installing again-8 times. Right now I have no idea what Im supposed to do, as everytime I've needed to download before its downloaded AND allowed me to double click in order to install new/latest updates. so I dont have a clue why not now. I have NOT changed any settings from last time either

Firefox cannot download the files I want to download sometimes. For example installing Flash Player. It opens a new tab with URL "http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/9.x/9.3.4/enu/AdbeRdr934_en_US_i386.pkg.zip" and title "adberdr.pkg.zip (application/zip object)" on it. It happens when I have to download some dmg or compressed files.

-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

Whenever I try to use a web site that needs Adobe Flash Player, Firefox asks me to download it. When I download it and try again, it still asks me to download. When I access the same web site using Safari, I have no problem. This is true for many web sites - whichever ones require Adobe Flash Player.

You do not seem to have Adobe Flash (aka Shockwave Flash) installed. If you did you would see it listed under your plugins. Follow the instructions in the article below to install Flash in Firefox.

After you've installed Flash Player (you have to mount the disk image by double-clicking and the double-click the insatller package) restart your browser and go to youTube, for example, -> http://www.youtube.com/ - and see if the videos play.

In recent weeks many websites show "blocked plug-in". Clicking onto it reveals a notice that my Adobe Flash Player needs updating but I'm not able to do it because Step 3 of the update has "blocked plug-in" in it.

When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
You can also try these illustrated instructions from C F McBlob to perform a full "clean install", which will resolve the "Blocked Plug-in" message when trying to update via the GUI updater from Adobe.

Your MacBook Air running Yosemite will need an updated version of the Flash Player plugin to play web content that is in the Flash format (not all video content is Flash; there is also HTML5 video, amongst others). Those are the ones you downloaded. Ten times, apparently. Since install_flash_player_10_osx.dmg already existed, the next download was appended with -1. The next -2, etc. They'll all be identical, so it doesn't matter which one you use. Though I'd go with the last one as it may be a slightly updated version from the first download, depending on how long ago you did the first one.
A .dmg file is a Disk Image. When you double click them, they open up a pseudo drive on the desktop. When you open one of these ten items, the Flash installer will appear in a file window. Run it to install Flash. Then close the file window (displaying from the psuedo drive) and then put the "drive" in the trash to dismount it. You can then delete all of those.
Looks like you also downloaded the Adobe Reader twice. Versions 10.1.2 and 10.1.3. Also Skype, whatever the Thomson thing is, and an unnecessary Flash uninstaller (the Flash installer will put an uninstaller in the Utilities folder).

Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.

Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
