Vidoes in youtube stopped playing so removed old version of flash player and tried to reload. Now can't get past installer download. Keep getting message that file aihdownload.adobe.com file can't be downloaded. turned off firewall and antivirus autoprotect. System info. Windows AMD A6-3620 APU w Radeon HD graphics 2.2 Ghz 64 bit using IE10. Help!?!

How to save downloaded update installer files

How can I locate a downloaded update installer file so I can save it and use to install on another mac without having to download all over again? Today I downloaded updates for OS X and also for Office 2011. The first is over 2GB and the second around 300MB. I have installed on my Macbook Pro, but I have another 3 units to update. I live in a 3rd world country with very slow internet and it takes me days to download such files.

Issues launching Flashplayer installer file in Windows 8.1

I am running Windows 8.1 and attempted to download Flashplayer for Firefox. The Flashplayer installer will not launch. I only get a gray box, with no action happening.
I have Flashplayer working in IE, but it will not launch for Firefox. Any ideas on what might be blocking the Flashplayer installer from running in Windows 8.1? I already checked to see if it was installed, but not turned on in Firefox, but the plug-in does not show up.

If you want to use run with a variable then this is how:

By running a command under CMD you can get the env variable converted. By itself
it won't convert.
The Chr(34) are not needed here.
Converting in VBScript As I posted is better usually:

Dear expert im in troubles with my nokia 6600 s60v2 phone.The phones settings is from 02 mobile uk.Presently using in Bangladesh after having Bangladeshi sim and Gprs connection.The voice call is running well.When i goto download any jar,jad or sis file an error display as content type doesnt support,unable to install or service failed to perform operation.Finding this problem i formatted the phone.It is to be mentioned here that after formating the phone,the factory setting comes with 02 mobile uks settings.The firmware of phone is v 3.42.1 16.10.3 NHL 10.Bangladeshi sim and setting working but problem is with download and installation.Kindly help me as how can i make the phone like any setting less or asia specific.Upgrade of firmware can solve the problem or not.An early help is solicited.Regards,malaker

I'm in Indonesia and my connection is unreliable, I don't want to get halfway through an internet recovery and it go wrong leaving with half an OS install.
Also - when I install, either by bootdrive or recovery, will it leave my partitioned hard drive data without formatting it?

Before running the installer, but after the download completes, a file called InstallESD.DMG will be on your computer. This file contains a virtual installer disk you can keep for future use on a USB Flash drive or placed in another part of the hard drive that won't automatically erase. The default download on java.com is the 'online' installer, where the initial download is a very small binary, that when run downloads the required installation files. I suspect that some AV software, proxy, firewall, router or something, between the installer binary and the download servers is impeding/blocking the download of the files.
The general workaround for this is to download the offline installer, which contains all the necessary files to complete the install. The end result of installing the online and offline is the same, only the install mechanism differs.

Cant download or save file sometimes

When i try to download a file or save it, it starts to download normally till it finished and this pops up "www.xxxx.com could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.
Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location."
It always happen. I tried saving it into different places like on my desktop and in other drives but the same thing pops up. I really have no idea and this is interfering with work so please please i really need help.

This may be a problem with the %TEMP% folder.
Firefox immediately starts downloading the file to the temp folder and move the file after you have supplied the name and location to that folder.
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
Do not forget to re-enable the scanning in your anti-virus software after you are finished with downloading and installing.
