Cant download ios 5 to ipad

Hi,
Iv got an ipad 2 and need to do the new update for IOS 5, however it completes the download but then a warning message comes up saying "there was a problem downloading the software for the Ipad 2. The network connection timed out"
Do you know any solutions to this?
Tried four times and its just becoming frustrating.
Any help would be appreciated!

There has been an extraordinarily excessive amount of traffic on Apple's servers since everyone wanted to download the update. If you are running Windows, you may want to try disabling any firewall or antivirus software as well as disconnecting any USB devices from your computer. Make sure you are connecting the cable to a USB port on the computer and not a hub.
I read posted yesterday where people tried six and seven times or more and still couldn't download the update. I wish I had a concrete solution, but try again as I suggested and see if you have any success.

If you are trying to update via wifi, try connecting to your computer/iTunes and update. Make sure you backup befor updating.

I cant download ios 8!!!

I have tried many times to download ios 8. My phone said that i had to have 5.7 GB of data but now i have 6.6 GB of data and it still says that i need more data .I have ios 8 beta on my iPhone 5s already so i don't know if that's the problem or what. Also on the computer it says that i already have ios 8 on my phone but that's the beta that it recognizes. Should i restore it then update it to ios 8 then put everything i have back on it???

I think you should backup your iPhone 5s first to computer or iCloud. Then, try to upgrade to iOS 8 via iTunes or over the air.

Due to the iPod Touch 4th Generation not having enough RAM (Memory), it cannot get iOS 7 as it is actually unable to. The only iPod Touch able to get iOS 7 is the 5th Generation which launched last year.
(I know what you mean. I own one!)

I need to download the latest ios to download/use certaincertain apps but when I try to download it after pressing agree to the t and c I get the message "software update failed, an error occurred downldownloading ios 8.1.2."
I have enough storage as I've deleted space specifically, I've turned on and off, also done a hard reset as well as confirming my password on the icloud (recommended online somewhere!) but nothing is working I'm still getting he same error! ive tried plugged in and out, i only have it on wifi but thats working fine as im able to use the net on the ipad itself....help!!!
I don't have iTunes on a laptop or computer and I don't have an iPhone so this is the only item I can do this on...and would rather not go to apple store as I just don't have time atm

every time i try to download this app on my new iPad mini it says its no longer available same thing happens when i try to update my photoshop app as well. i really could use this app as im in school for graphic design. has anyone else had this problem that can tell me what i need to do?

My iphone 5 is having a similar issue. Instead of getting an error message it just says "ios 6.1.4 your software is up to date". Any suggestions?
