Cant download new version or delete old version

I am trying to download a newer version of iTunes but during the download process I get an error message that reads: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." This is odd since it is a home computer that is not networked and never has been. I have had iTunes on this computer for about 5 years and have never had an issue loading a new version/update.
I have even tried to uninstall the program and get the same message and it wont let me uninstall it. I then get a message stating: Older version cannot be removed. Contact your support group. WTH?
Now my iPad, my wife's iPhone and sons iPhone wont sync and we get the error that we need to load version 10.6.3 or higher.
Please let me know your thoughts on how to fix.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Ok, well that's a step in the right direction, but you are still out of date. Please update to Firefox 18.0.1, the most recent version. Running 14 will leave you exposed to many major security flaws, plus it is slower and less stable than Firefox 18.0.1 [[Update Firefox to the latest version]]

Cant download new version of itunes

my friends daughter has a new ipod and when trying to syn to her music on her mac she had update itunes. They are still using version 10. Tried to upload latest version, but unable to - get error message 'digital signature incorrect'. Tried to download Itunes from Apple website and unable to because message says that we need version 10.6.3 to do so. Any ideas?

What version OS X are you running on you Mac? Apple Menu > About This Mac. iTunes 10.7 and 11 require OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) or later. You may need to update the OS X

Not if you first do a sync and have iTunes make a backup. However, if your only copy of the iTunes data is in the Touch, then you need to first copy the data to a new iTunes Library using third-party software such as Phone To Mac.

Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

Pages '08 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.

As already provided, if you don't have such in your iTunes library, on your computer, then there is no way to put it back on your phone. Apps are DRM protected, so even if you found a copy somewhere, you wouldn't be able to use it.

If you are talking about Safari on the iPad, there is no version of Adobe Flash for iOS and there never has been. Clear Safari, close the app and reset the iPad.

Only with iOS5 or later you can update/upgrade directly from the iPod/iPhone.
When your version of iOS is lower than 5, you must connect to iTunes and then update.
It is best when you update iTunes to the latest version first.

Internet and firefox worked, i downloaded new version which would not work due to proxy settings. I then deleted download and thought i could revert to current version but now I am unable to connect to the internet at all using mozilla or explorer. My internet connection is fine as Im able to use my laptop. Please help im not very good with computers. Thanks.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".

I cannot download new version of Itunes or uninstall my old one. It says I am missing itunes.msi file. Can anyone help? I am stuck in Itunes limbo.

When you get that msi message, you need to do an installer cleanup.
I will give you a method for full removal and cleanup of iTunes and related programs followed by install. You may be able to get way with just removing and cleaning up iTunes itself, but I have given the whole method in case you need it.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program.

restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.
