Cant download songs because it says that there is no itunes connection

I just redeemed money on my ITunes account.  I bought one song and the money for the song was taken off my account but it won’t download to my library.  When I try to download it, it says that it can’t because "the network connection could not be made".
I have a MacBook pro Laptop and I also tried to download it on my older Desktop computer (its Mac, not sure what year). My Wifi connection is working and I think that all the ITunes updates are updated.
I have never had this problem before.
What should I do?
Thank you

Are you getting a network connection error or a different error ? If it is a network connection and you've tried turning off all your firewall and antivirus software then you could try downloading the update via a browser : https://discussions.apple.com/message/16703914#16703914

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Safebooting disables Launch Agents/Daemon and Third Party Kernal extensions. Here's the article to Safeboot OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support

  • My iPad will not let me log into iTunes because it says that there is an un excepted server, and I have no idea what to do

My iPad will not let me log into iTunes because it says that there is an un excepted server, and I don't know what to do

Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

  • It says that "there was a problem connecting to the server". What's wrong with this, and how can I deal with this problem?

I just got my new iPad Mini2, and when I choose "sign in with your apple ID", it says that "there was a problem connecting to the server". What's wrong with this, and how can I deal with this problem?

    1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
    2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

My ipod says that there's not interent connection despite me signed up to SKY network at home! what happened? how do i fix it?

When you go to Settings>wifi does it show you are connected?
Do other devices successfully connect to the internet?
Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks?
    Try:
    - Resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router

  • My pc does not allow me to download itunes or quicktime because it says that there is an unvalid signature...

regularly Itunes tells me that there are updates for itunes, quicktime or safari or something else but when i try to download them the computer tells me that there is a not valid signature and it is not possible to install the update.  what can i do?

Same problem- I literally cannot sync my new iPad with iTunes because I cannot download iTunes 10.5 or QuickTime.  I have tried everything including connecting to wired connection, turning on home sharing, and re-installing iTunes. Please help- it is making me crazy. I am running windows 7 on a new(a few months old) toshiba.

  • I have an iPhone4 and whenever I try to buy songs off of iTunes they will not finish downloading. It will say that there is a download error and then that it can't be downloaded at this time. It will get to about 3MG of how ever much needs to be downloade

I've tried this many times and never seems to work

Thank you for the reply. I am on a home network. ISP is centurylink DSL service located in midwest, so USA. WPA security type with 10 digit numerical password. I verified IMAP does work on my network, my gmail account adds perfectly fine in mail on the mac. I also checked that there is not a proxy server setup. *this has been occuring in all 3 of the places I have lived in the past 5 years or so, no matter the ISP.
What is really bizarre is my iphone 4s works fine with everything. Notes sync with icloud. Mail syncs with my icloud and gmail accounts fine. The iphone is also connecting to the same wireless network. Another thing, my iphone works with a hotmail account too, which is POP (dang microsoft), but I wonder why apple won't let it work on mail on the macs.

  • My ipod has no songs and it says that there is no more space.  When I connect it to my computer windows says the drive needs to be formatted.

My ipod classic shows no music and says that the hard drive is full.  When I connect it to my computer (that has itunes on it) it does nothing but windows says it needs to be formatted.  It shows up under computer as a USB Drive.  It won't sink.

If this is the problem following the instruction.  Frequently it is a hardware problem.
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
Otherwise try (assuming that other devices see your network)
    - A reset. Nothing wil be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power of and then back on your router.
    - Reset network settings: Settings>Genral>Reset>Reset Network Settings

  • Why does my computer say that there is a problem connecting to a server when I'm in iPhoto?

After I launch iPhoto, this message pops up every 10 seconds or so,
There is a problem connecting to the server "Scotts Macbook"?
Why does this happen? I'm not trying to connect to any server, how do I disconnect? I used to use the Macbook for my iWeb site, but I haven't done that for years.

I'm having the same problem.  I'm running 10.7.2.   My main NAS just failed and I'm using a new one.   The old NAS was called "DATASERVER".   The new NAS is called "NEWSERVER".
Many, but not all of my original files were located on and imported from DATASERVER which is no longer in use.  I can see all of my photos but when I try to open them/edit them it's clear that I just have thumbnails.  I get the error message "There was a problem connecting to a server "DATASERVER".  The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time.   Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
    Other information:
    * I'm using iPhoto 9.2.1
    * Currently in Preferences I have the "copy items to the iPhoto library" CHECKED.
    * I can access the directories, files, etc. on NEWSERVER via Finder.
    * I have gone into keychain and deleted any references to DATASERVER
    * I have turned off Time Machine.
    * At one point it was asking me to find the original file and a finder window would pop up.  I could then point to the original file only to get the "There wasa a problem connecting to a server "DATASERVER" again.
I do not know if I'm using a Managed Library or a Referenced Library since I set this up long ago.  I seem to recall at one point I tried to manage the library myself but then changed.
Any help that you can provide would be very much appreciated.  I've scoured this site and others but cannot find a solution that works.

  • My iPod touch 3rd gen is not updating to the latest software, iTunes keeps saying that there was a problem connecting to the update server...

I don't think I ever registered my 3rd gen iPod. I was never able to update it past its original software because iTunes could never recognize it. Unfortunately, my wife had installed data on it (old & recently purchased) so I've been very hesitant to "Restore" it. I recently plugged it into my laptop & it prompted me to install the iOS 5.0.1 software, but after multiple attempts to do so iTunes keeps giving me the same error message "update  install failed. Connection to the update software server has timed out". How do I update the software without losing all my wife's data?

If you already have iOS5.0, Go to settings-general-software update, scroll to the bottom and hit download and install and this should update it without the computer. Then when you connect the iPod to iTunes, it should say 5.0.1. If this doesn't work, DON'T ERASE IT. Just bring it in to Apple. I had the same issue trying to update to 5.0.  and eventually I got it to work after waiting for a little while. Good luck!
