Cant edit sim card number

Hello all.  Brand new phone.  Old sim card.  Sim card number has a lot of strange numbers after my phone number.  when i select "edit sim card number"  nothing happens.  All of the posts i read seem to end here.  Any suggestions when the "nothing" happens?  Thank you!!

or you can go to Settings>General>About and that "SIM Card Number" is the ICCID. It should begin with 8901

  • Accessing the current SIM card number

    Hi,
I am trying the get the current sim card number using NSUserDefault with the following codeline :
    NSString *num = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] stringForKey:@"SBFormattedPhoneNumber"];
Now, I need to know if their exist a better way to get the current phone number (SIM number) programatically? Is it allowed to access personal users information considering apple's privacy policy for the end user? I need to authenticate sim card before my app works and for this I need to check at the startup if the number being usedcurrently is already authenticated or not.
    Thanks,
    Obaid

    Is Apple accept following:
    1.  I put the result string in a text box .
    2.  if the user click a send button and then  a dialog appears that warn it will be send to database
    3.  if user still accept , it will be send as a record to remote database.
Where can I ask such questions in Apple support. Should I wait until apple reject or not . Or is there an official way to ask before the project. Googling is good but it is not saying last decision.
    Thanks
    Ali

  • Getting SIM card number from iPhone 5

I just got my iPhone 5.  It's asking me to give my SIM card number in order to activate it online.  The instructions are saying to take the back cover off of the phone. How do I do that?  Doesn't look like I can. I tried using a pin to open the side of it but that didn't work.

This answer a little late but will post anyway in case another person comes this way:
If the SIM is already installed in your phone, you can browse to the Settings area and obtain there.
    Settings > General > About
Locate the ICCID number. It is typically 20 digits long (5 groups of 4 digits).  This is the SIM card number.
If the Phone was shipped with the SIM installed, this ICCID number is usually written on the label that is affixed to the outsided of the box.
    Hope this helps.
This worked! Saved me a trip home, and trying to scrounge up a pin...

  • How do I identify SIM card number in iPad?

I know how to reveal the number for my SIM in iPad 2 by going into "Settings". But I'm having difficulties to do the same with the next generation of iPad, i.e. iPad with Retina Display model. Would appreciate if someone could guide me on this please?

Perhaps your carrier is different. My carrier prints the SIM number, the same one that shows up in Settings>General>About directly on the SIM itself.
The SIM card does not have the phone serial number on it.

  • Casio Commando cant remove sim card

Just got my phone cant figure out how to remove the sim card, any help would be appreciated

There is no SIM card in a Casio Gz'One Commando. The SD card slot is located under the battery. Refer to page 18 of the online manual.
You can find a link to the online manual here.

  • Cant use sim card after brought back from overseas...Urgently~!!!! Help~!!!

Guys,i bought my iPhone 3Gs at overseas and i found out i cant use my sim card at my own country and it only in Emergency Mode...any idea how to unlocked it? The version was updated to 3.1.3firmware....Urgently needed as i need my phone back in action...

You purchased your iPhone overseas in which country - from an official carrier for the iPhone or from Apple in that country?
For the most part, the iPhone is sold as carrier locked with an official carrier for the iPhone in each country where the iPhone is sold officially by Apple. In some countries, the iPhone is also sold as officially unlocked by an official carrier for the iPhone.
If you purchased your iPhone as officially unlocked from an official carrier for the iPhone overseas, installing a firmware update should not lock the iPhone to a designated carrier. If you purchased a carrier locked iPhone that was hacked to be unlocked, installing a firmware update re-locks the iPhone to the designated carrier.
Since Apple's warranty and support is honored in the country where the iPhone was sold officially by Apple, you need to contact the official carrier for the iPhone in the country you purchased the iPhone from to see if the carrier offers unlocking the iPhone.

  • Sim card number different to actual number

Android os will not let you change the number from the settings menus, whilst iOS will let you do it. The best thing that is to take your phone to one of the we shop and get them to move your sim to another non android phone and you can change the number then. Hope this helps

Bit of a late reply I know! Actually, it does matter in some cases. Various apps: PayPal, Barclays Banking app etc along with some chat tools use the phone number stored on the sim as part of their verification process. Therefore the incorrect number is presented.Had not tried that bit... but yes it does matter to the bank app :-) So I'm in the same fix. So is an EE store only place to get this sorted? Dom

  • How to edit contact list in sim card?

Could someone tell me how to edit contact list in the sim card?
When you edit the contact list on the phone, sim card entries are not affected.
    Thanks and regards.

The iPhone Will copy sim addresses automatically To the onboard memory and address book app however does NOT write back to the sim card . To edit sim card data you would need to put the sim back in a traditional traditional mobile phone.
The sim in the iphone is only used for network recognition.

  • SIM Phone Number - Uncaught exception (initalValue)

    Hello Everyone,
I'm using a 8300 (v4.2.2.180) - Somehow, my phone number on the unit stored in Sim Phone Number, has grown to about 30 digits. It's completely wrong, so I'm trying to fix it. However, when I click on Sim Card, and attempt to click on 'Edit SIM Phone Number', I immediately get an error after I click: 'Uncaught Exception: invalid initalValue'
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'm running this off a BES but I feel it's more of a device issue.
    Thanks,
    Daniel.

What does 'If that doesn't work you might want to application load the blackberry.' mean? And how abouts do I do that?
    Thanks!

  • How do you know if your SIM card is an NFC capable card?

I recently had to get a new SIM card, but I didn't pay attention to know if it was an NFC type card. Is there any way to find out via MyVerizon account or with the SIM card number itself?

I'd be happy to help you with options for figuring out if you have an NFC SIM Ann154! This is something that customer service can confirm for you. Please follow & DM, and I'd be happy to check your information and determine if your SIM is NFC capable.
