Cant edit sql files,help!

when I edit a sql file,I can't delete anything ,if there is any configuretion that can block the rights?But It's strange to see that ,I can append any words to the files,anybody can help me ,thanks!

It sounds like your accelerators might be confused and it no longer knows that the Backspace is the delete previous character key (the key mapping seems to get confused ocassionally). Go to Tools > Preferences > Accelerators and select "Delete Previous Char" in the Actions list and see if there is anything in the Accelerators on the right. If not, you can revert to the standard accelerators (which tends to fix the problem) by selecting the "Load Preset ..." button.

How to get rid of annoying tool tips while editing SQL files

I'm using Visual Studio 2013 to edit an .SQL file and I have attached the editor to a local SQL Server 2008 R2 database.
While editing the string that is passed to a sp_executesql procedure it keeps popping up a tool tip saying:
"Parameter help is not supported for extended stored procedures"
Generally I don't care about that and it is annoying because it keeps appearing over the top of the text I want to read. Is there any way to stop Visual Studio doing this?

Could you share us more information about this issue? You said that you edit the .sql file, which kind of app did you create which would use the .SQL file? Whether it is related to the SQL Server database project or others?

In SQL Server, it seems that it is related to the IntelliSense, I'm not very sure that whether it is related to the IntelliSense of VS IDE, but generally we could enable or disable IntelliSense under TOOLS->Option->Text Editor in VS
IDE.
Maybe you could disable IntelliSense in VS IDE, and then check it again.

Cant edit profile-please help

Hi,
i cant seem to be able to edit any of the profile.. when i go to profile-advanced-normal- it freeezes and i have 2 restore my fone.. and when i restard it i get a message saying
blackberry problem Uncaught exception:application net_rim_bb_profiles_app(192) is not responding,process terminated
i am able to change profiles but is stuck on silent. for example when i change from vibrate to normal its still quiet and no notifications..
please help.

Dreamweaver CS5, cant edit dependent files

Its been a couple of months since I made any changes to my site in Dreamweaver. I use a template for my web pages. I made some changes to my template file, I made some changes to my home page, which neccessitated changes to a couple of style rules in myh main *.css file. When I click on a rule, i get a message stating, "Unable to open example.com/style.css because it could not be found on your hard disk. Download the file..." However, all of my dependent files, *.css etc, are in fact on my hard drive, and in fact there is no difference when compared to the corresponding remote files. Im sure I just have solme setting wrong. But I havent a clue what I need to do to be able to start editing my site .css file again. I have gone back and forth between showing myh local files and the remote files in the files panel, and there is no change.
Please someone help.

@MurraySummers, yes the dependent files are located in the root directory of my site on my hard drive, right along with all the .html pages I have created and am able to update btw. I can add content to the individual .html pages, but all of my dependent files, not just the .css files, but the java script files too, I would be unable to make changes to those, if I had actually wanted to which i dont.
Another piece of information if it helps, if i click on any of the dependent file buttons which are located on the bar next to the source code button to show the individual file content, a yellow bar beneath the address bar appears with the following: sample.css is a remote file and cannot be edited.
I only have the one site. Interestingly, I tried something that may or may not give someone an idea of my problem. I have a couple of copies of this site for back up in my dreamweaver folder. I opened up an older copy of the index file from one of those, and i do NOT have the same problems. I CAN open up an individual rule, and of course save a change to it if I wanted. Now I couild use one of those older copies, but I wouldnt know where to begin to make all the changes to all the pages to get me back up to current content.

when i right click on a sql expression it tries to log into the repository (which we dont use)..
If I actually log into the repository, the sql expression code still isnt there..

If the report is saved to your Business Objects server then the report would prompt for log on repository.
If the report is saved to your desktop and your database is available then it wont prompt you.

Instructions:
Delete or move the existing Camera Raw 8bi file (see below) from the File Formats Folder.
Click and download the plug-in from the above link (R_Kellys link says for PSE6 but will definitely work with PSE5 also)
Open the zip folder you just downloaded and click Extract Files.
You should see the plug-in file you need. The plug in has a file name: Camera Raw.8bi
Now drag the plug-in file (or copy it) into the File Formats folder in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats
If you are using a 64-bit edition of Windows, move and install the plug-in file by navigating to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats
N.B. Before you start the download you need to do some preparation. Navigate to the File Formats Folder and move Camera Raw.8bi I suggest you move it from the File Formats folder to My Documents or drag it to the desktop before you begin. This will prevent it being overwritten by the new Camera Raw file (it will have the same name) and you can always move it back again if the download installation fails.

Jdeveloper cant edit on files correctly

hello guys, i have a problem that when i use an HTML file in my JSF page, Jdeveloper saves that file in "ViewController-context-root/MyHTML.html" how can i reach that file ?? , because when i edit my original html file from the directory the file in the context-root doesn't update as well so it doesn't get updated in the applications,, am using Jdeveloper 12.c thanks in advance saidi .

I tested this using 11.1.1.7.0 (no 12c system available at the moment) and it works for me.

I am stuck for many days in this issue. Hope someone helps me out.
I am using Oracle 11.
I am writing an utility of Purging the data from the database base on certain criteria.
We don't have physical(actual) partitions present on our system(since we are not using enterprise edition).
We have 57 tables representing 57 partitions. Then we are creating a view of all these 57 tables -
CREATE or REPLACE VIEW MY_VIEW AS
select [column_names] from table1
UNION ALL
select [column_names] from table2
UNION ALL
select [column_names] from table3
UNION ALL
select [column_names] from table57
This upper query is saved in the 'body' of user_views.
Now when a user wants to delete a partition--
-I am reading this query body in .sql file.
-Editing the .sql file ie removing the unwanted 'select * from tablen'
-Dropping the View.
-Recreating the view from the edited .sql file.
The issue is in creating the view on the fly from the procedure--
- I cant do EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'CREATE VIEW...' and 'DBMS_SQL.PARSE' as the query body is longer than 32767 characters.
So i chose the option to do file write. In the file I write the VIEW query and then I want to create the View from this file.
Now i am not able to call the .sql which contains
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW MYVIEW AS
select...
UNION ALL
select...
select...
The character length of this file is around 90000.
Please guide me in this issue.
Any new idea to manage the very large View in runtime is also welcome...

As it's 11g, even better would be to use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE as Solomon suggested. It can handle CLOBs.
If it were 10g, then fair enough use the DBMS_SQL package with something like...

Connecting to Microsoft Azure SQL Database by using OLE DB or ADO is not supported on SQL Azure.

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

Help with creating a sql file that will capture any database table changes.

We are in the process of creating DROP/Create tables, and using exp/imp data into the tables (the data is in flat files).
Our client is bit curious to work with. They do the alterations to their database (change the layout, change the datatype, drops tables) without our knowing. This has created a hell lot of issues with us.
Is there a way that we can create a sql script which can capture any table changes on the database, so that when the client trys to execute imp batch file, the sql file should first check to see if any changes are made. If made, then it should stop execution and give an error message.
Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciable.

Just to clarify...
1. DDL commands are like CREATE, DROP, ALTER. (These are different than DML commands - INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE).
2. The DDL trigger is created at the database level, not on each table. You only need one DDL trigger.
3. You can choose the DDL commands for which you want the trigger to fire (probably, you'll want CREATE, DROP, ALTER, at a minimum).
4. The DDL trigger only fires when one of these DDL commands is run.
Whether you have 50 tables or 50,000 tables is not significant to performance in this context.
What's signficant is how often you'll be executing the DDL commands on which the trigger is set to fire and whether the DDL commands execute in acceptable time with the trigger in place.
