Cannot export to Quicktime in Premiere Pro CS5
This problem has been addressed before, but the solution, to simplify the name of the file, is not working for me.
I am not able to export to Quicktime. The error is "Unable to create or open an output file."
Here are my parameters:
Premiere Pro CS5, recently updated.
Windows 7, recently updated.
PC HP Pavilion desktop
Source footage is HDV in an mp4 codec via the CS5 timeline.
I have disabled my anti-virus software (ESET).
I have no other video-related programs running.
Clips appear in the Export screen (for preview) perfectly.
Exporting to any other codec or container, including H.264 (an Apple product) works fine. To make things
a little more interesting, the last time I tried to export to Quicktime (a year ago) I was using PPr CS4. Export
to Quicktime worked perfectly well. Now it does not. Now when I activate "start queue" in Media
Encoder for CS4, the green check mark appears without the clips being encoded at all. Once again, CS4
encodes to other codecs perfectly well.
Sounds like in the intervening year I may have downloaded some interfering software, but like editors
everywhere, I download a lot of these things. Finding the culprit would take days (weeks!). Are there
any prime suspects?
Alternatively, are there any other ways to export in high quality to let Mac users easily access PC
generated footage?Mac users are the ones who choose to use an OS which creates this type of compatibility issue. Honestly, I'd just create an AVI and let them solve the problem.

Cant export in quicktime pro get buffer overrun detected
cant export in quicktime pro progeam shuts down and a microsoft visual c++ runtime libary buffer overrun detected error pops up what is the fix for this??
I do not know if this helps as my problem was specifically with picture viewer but I also was unable to run the quicktime updater. I removed quick time via the windows add/remove in control panel as I had done before. But this time I did a search for all quick time files and found over 50 files (I have 4 partitions and they were hiding in one of them). So I deleted them, did a defrag (using diskeeper 10) then downloaded the latest version of quick time. Now it works perfectly.

Best Export / Video settings for Premiere Pro. Help Needed.
What's the best settings when you want to export a video from Premiere Pro for the web or otherwise. Best settings = good quality video and LOW file size.
Benchmark : The videos on Apple Trailers. Check them out at http://www.apple.com/trailers
The trailers are of high quality video, great sounds, and the Large sizes all fall under the 25MB mark. Any ideas on HOW this is done and what
settings in Premiere Pro CS3 might be able to replicate such standards?
Any help is appreciated. I normally use Encoder and export using H264 but that always seems to have an Audio lag. Any similar issues?
Thanks a mil!I understand that better quality = bigger file size. That's true in most cases, but there is a way around it, I'm just not sure what that way is. As I mentioned in the original post, the benchmark is http://www.apple.com/trailers . The non-HD videos on any movie page on that site hardly ever exceeds the 25MB mark. The videos are 2-3minutes long, and while they may not be top-notch BD visuals, they look way better than 95% of the stuff that's streamed off the net.
That's why I asked if anyone had any ideas on how to replicate something like that. Say I had a avi file of great quality, shot with a Panasonic DV Cam. I Capture the footage, do whatever I have to in Pr, and the result is now a 3minute video. I want it exported to a Quicktime file, I want it to look visually pleasing like the trailers on Apple, and I want it to fall under 25MB. I have tried H.264 encoding, regular Quicktime, and Quicktime via Encoder. Nothing reaches the expected quality.
For more examples visit http://www.passionpictures.com.my/pages/recent.aspx and download those simple 30second clips. All Quicktime, mostly under 5.5MB. If Pr can't do it, then I don't know what can...so I'm sure Pr can do it.
Problem is, how? Experimentation is definitely a way to go, I get that. But on the basis of the scenario given above...how is it done? -

Why don't I have the DCP export option in Adobe Premiere Pro?
Why don't I have the DCP export option in Adobe Premiere Pro?
Premiere Pro CC v7.2.2I will reply to my own question!
I was on my Windows machine when I began producing my video. During Export, I wasn't able to package it. After a few hours of research I found that Wraptor DCP is not supported (yet) on Windows platforms. I switched over to my Macbook Pro and viola!
DCP'ing all day long now! -
Color on exported video on Adobe Premiere Pro Is a bit off from the original source video
I have both Cyberlink powerdirector 10.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro C6
I noticed that adobe premere cs6. when exporting the video.. colors are a little off.. never matching the same tones as the original
source
i took a screenshot so you can see what i mean.. Notice Adobe is a a little mor orange. is there a way to fix this? Cyberlink powedirector always matches the source color when you export it. except Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6
i have windows 7 64 bit (Nvidia GeForce GTX 670MThanks for answering. I ddi notice different media players show colors different. But on the screenshot i just showed you.. all 3 are from the same media player.
For some reason everytime i export a video from Adobe premiere pro the color is never the same as the source on media player. I tried it on 4 different videos. Other software programs like cyberlink power director export the video with no color change.
1)The original source from the picture is a mpeg-4 (avc)
2)i always use wmv codec to encode all videos. So the shot from Premiere Pro was using WMV codec. and the other shot (cyberlink powerdirector) was also wmv to encde.
3) I even tried to see if maybe i used a different video format to encode it would fix the slight color change. like h264 and mov.. but nope still same issue
4) I did what you told me to show the source and exported video on Adobe Premiere and really weird. the exporterd video from Adobe Premiere now shows the exact color as the source.. but the exported video from Cyberlinkpowerdirector shows the color a bit different.
Heres the media codec information

How to define the default thumbnail, appearing after exporting a video in Premiere Pro?
Hi community,
When I export a video in Premiere Pro, the default thumbnail (appearing in windows file explorer for example) is never the best.
At my job, I need to create a lot of video that I publish through a CMS. Every time, i need to reset the preview thumbnail of the video because the default one is not accurate.
How to define which frame of my video will be used as a preview thumbnail after the video is exported? This is not something you can control with PP.

Exporting a sequence from Premiere Pro CC is taking hours
I am new again to Premiere after a 10 year hiatus. I have Premiere Pro CC and as exciting as it is to have the entire suite of products, I feel like resorting to iMovie after trying to export. I was initially getting acquainted with After Effects and solved my render times there after a little frustration, but this seems to be taking me down!
I am creating a "movie" that will be projected on a 4:3 aspect, 20'x15' screen. I created a sequence that's 4 minutes long and it's got a .mov that I rendered from After Effects at the beginning, then a bunch of still images that each last around 5 seconds with a cross dissolve in between each. In the middle there is another .mov from After Effects (bubble effects).
I created the sequence with settings of: Editing Mode - QuickTime DV NTSC, 29.97 fps.
When I try to export the sequence, I use QuickTime for the format; the preset is NTSC DV. This sets the video codec to DV25 NTSC. I've tried rendering with this codec and changing the codec to mpeg-4. I've also rendered with the quality set to as low as 65% with the mpeg-4 codec.
Each time, the "Estimted Time Remaining" just climbs and climbs. I've managed to get to 13% encoded and the time remaining is around an hour, but keeps climbing with each percent rendered.
I have a 27" iMac with 3.1 ghz Intel Core i5 processor, 4gb memory and running OS X 10.7.5
If anyone can help me with export settings or a way to decrease the time, I'd very much appreciate it. I have searched for this topic and each solution I found involves exporting for the web.Use the MPEG2-DVD preset

JVC exporting converted file in Premiere Pro
Hi!
I'm not English, so sorry for my mistakes!
I've got a big problem! I've bought me a JVC EVERIO GZ-MG365 Cam! Now, this cam is recording its movies on a file ending on .mod! I've downloaded a converter to import them in Premiere Pro CS3! I've tryed many types (.mov,.mpeg,mpeg4,avi,.asf and so on), but in the preview window (for cutting and the other, end movie window) it's not playing fluently! It does the same when I export it! BUT, when i burn the exported file on an DVD, and i play it in the DVD player, its playing fluently! The problem is, i have to send it as .avi to other people, and they would not be happy if its stucking.
Thanks a lot

TomOk ive got it!

QuickTime and Premiere Pro CS5
When I go to export my project I don't see QuickTime as a format option.
Let me describe my situation. I downloaded a particular version of QuickTime (without QuickTime player) to use with MPEC Streamclip in order to copy a video from a DVD to my computer. After the file was created the video played in Windows Media Player with audio but no video. QuickTime had created a restore point so I used it to uninstall QuickTime and start over including QuickTime Player.
When I went to reinstall it I got the message "it already exists". However I don't see QuickTime anywhere and as I said, it is absent from Premiere Pro format options.
Now my questions: How do I fix this?
If I uninstall and reinstall Premiere Pro will it install QuickTime automatically or should I install QuickTime manually? If the latter is true which version of QuickTime should I install?
Please help. I am at a standstill and cannot continue with my project. All is well now.
I checked about the QuickTime folder in Program Files (x86) and found that sometimes even though a program has been uninstalled and is not listed in the Control Panel, there could be leftover folders in the C: drive. In that case one should go ahead and deleted. I did that and then installed QuickTime 7. Premiere Pro recognized it and is now listed under the Export > Format options.
Thank for your support. -
Quicktime makes Premiere Pro crash
Premiere Pro CS4 crashes when viewing footage in the Program Monitor if Quicktime is installed. The only way I can view footage in Premiere now is by uninstalling Quicktime. It worked before the 7.6.4 update, so I tried going back to an earlier version of Quicktime (7.5 - the link to 7.6.2 just goes to 7.6.4). For some reason that didn't help.
I need both Premiere and Quicktime on my computer, does anyone have any suggestions other than Adobe and Apple should have a little get-together and make sure they don't make their products mutually exclusive?Hi:
I am having "similar" problems with AE in CS4. Pleas do check posting: "Quicktime : Windows Vista w/SP2 - Windows Error : Export Controller stopped"
I am having issues at startup of CS4 After Effects and unable to IMPORT mov files. The same issue (QuickTime) is "extanding" all over some other CS4 appliactions. With previuos QuickTime versions I did not have a "single" issue with it.
But since I did notice the issue and checking out this forum, I did also notice that a lot of user were experiencing issues if they want to revert back to previuos version. So I have not touch my system.
So you are not alone and the only thing to do is to await for the Apple guys to fix the issue that seems to be 100% related to QuicikTime. -
Premiere Pro CC has been working fine until today. I have completed my sequence and it is active. I have both audio and video checked when I am exporting using H.264 with Match Source Hi bitrate. I am choosing entire sequence. The audio exports but the video and title does not. Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this so I can complete this project? Please!
Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
Good Luck - Cheers,
M.

How do I stop iTunes from being brought to the front every time I rip a CD?
It used to be that "Hide iTunes Windows" will do the trick. With the new iTunes, it stops doing it. I have over a thousand CD and it is getting annoying having iTunes keep popping up with each CD I put into my computer to get it rip, especially when
