Cant figure out how to sync my iphone
Haven't synced my phone in a while and am trying to figure out how to do that. Also I'm trying to figure out how to find my apps through itunes/ icloud.

Cant figure out how to restore my iphone 4s from icloud
ok so i just sold my iphone 4 and bought a iphone 4s when i was in the store they actavated it and it worked find now accouding to apples site it should give me a option and i did sync it but none of my contacts or pics or music is there so do i need to restore my phone so that it will give me the option in itunes to back up or what?
well i did back up my iphone at home also i tryed restoring it from my last back up wich was this friday and it did the same thing and in the list the date was octber 14 2011 and it still didnt restore my contacts pics and music wich i had to synce it also didnt sync my calander or my settings like wallpaper and genral setting
now where as my iphone for it restored every thing fine on he iphone 4 with iso 5 so the only thing i can think posably went wrong was it did the backup with u upgrand to iso 5 but i preaty shure i did a back up with iso 5 on it before i met the guy i sold it to so i am just going to take my laptop to apple and then verizon or maybe the other way also it restored all my all i ever downloaded evan the ones that i had deleted -
I just downloaded the latest itunes and i cant figure out how to update my iphone apps on my computer now. I go to the toolbar on the top and press search for updates and it tells me that the latest version of itunes is already downloaded or that there are no updates available at this time. Previously, i would be able to go to the apps page on itunes and then press search for updates and then download all. Then I would sync with my phone and both phone and computer would be updated. Now I can only update on the phone and I know Im going to encounter where it tells me the info for downloading is too large to do it on your phone, hence my first question.....where do I go to update my apps on my computer????
While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.

It's easy. When you added music to iTunes (buy it in iTunes or just add your own music), just connect your iPod, click on the iPod button in iTunes (it will appear), then choose music and enable syncing all your music (or just some artists, genres or playlists). Then just sync your iPod with iTunes.

I've got movies on my computer on itunes, however my parents wish that i use my laptop for itunes stuff, and i cant figure out how to get those movies to be able to sync with my ipod again, it wont recognize that I have them. Suggestions?

How do I update the iCloud ID on my phone? I changed my ID on my laptop, but my iphone still has "sign in to iCloud" with the wrong ID and I cant figure out how to change it.

Did you erase it before you sold it?
Settings> General > Reset - Erase all content & settings.
Or did you leave all your personal info on it and give it to someone else? -

Did you enable Siri in settings?

If Siri is off, all you get when pressing the home button for 1 second is the old Voice Control. -

connect your ipod to your computer. Then on the top left corner you will see a button that say's ipod click on the ipod image. You will now see summary click on music tab and the add check mark to sync music then click apply.

You don't need to "authorize" it, unless you are trying to sync content that uses DRM (copy protection). You probably just need to set up syncing.
First, if the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. The iPod appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES, when connected.
Select the iPod in the sidebar. The iPod's Summary screen is shown to the right. Toward the top, there is a bar of buttons, starting with Summary. Click on Music to the right of Summary. This Music screen is where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music. If your iTunes music library is small enough to fit on the iPop's storage, you can choose to sync Entire music library. Otherwise, choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. From the lists below, select what you want to sync the iPod. One convenient way to set this up is to create one or more playlists in your iTunes library, and put ALL of the songs you want on the iPod on those playlists. (Or you can use existing playlists.) Back on the iPod's Music screen, select (checkmark) those playlists under Playlists. You can also select other items on those lists, as desired.
When you click Apply, iTunes syncs the songs in your selections to the iPod. Going forward, to update the iPod, just update those playlists in your iTunes library (add/remove songs). The iPod does not need to be connected. The next time you connect the iPod (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes updates the iPod with the same changes automatically. -

i tried to sinc my photos and i ended up deleting off my phone all the pictures. i only ended up with one folder, and i cant figure out how to put rest of folders from my computer back on my phone.....help

I need to know for sure that my contacts are backed up on my computerCreate a parent folder on your computer to store the named folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPhone. Under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select the parent folder. All named folders of photos within will be transferred to your iPhone as separate folders or albums.
Regarding your 2nd question, this should be easy. Your contacts should be available on your computer with or without an iPhone or any cell phone, which can be lost or stolen.
Although contacts are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, not a good idea to depend on this either since the iPhone backup includes a significant amount of other data. Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer. With Windoze, this can be with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Outlook Express with XP and by Windows Mail with Vista and Windows 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
