Cant figure out where to post this...
Here's the thing:
Unicode Character 'ARABIC PLACE OF SAJDAH' (U+06E9)
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/06e9/index.htm
I see the symbol correctly at work on Firefox on a PC running XP Pro.
I can't see it (just a square with 06E9 inside) at home on Firefox on the Mac - OS 10.? running Leapord and I have MS Office for Mac if that matters.
Trying to figure out why I can't view this properly on the MAc since I don't think Ascii codes have any relation to fonts...
If anyone has an answer/solution that's great...
Otherwise, can someone point me to the right forum to post a question like this?
Thanks!
I am (and was) up to date with Firefox 3.5.6
No good in Safari or Opera either...
Thanks! I was not booted into Leopard before and now I see what the problem is: 06E9 is apparently not in the Arabic fonts that come with 10.5. There is a list here:
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/06e9/fontsupport.htm
You can get one that does have it, Scheherazade AAT, here:

I've tried to keep my computer as organized and clean as possible. I only have 400 songs and not a ton of pictures. I can't figure out where else I need to look on my hard drive. Any suggestions?
I can't really figure out how much I have left in memory but here is some basic info:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Is there somewhere to look to see a breakdown of what memory is used where?
Thanks for your help! -
please could anyone help - trying to downloads lots of songs for a party :-)))))
It's done via the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you using iTunes 11 on a PC then control-B should get the menus to show)
e.g. -
I cant figure out how to delete this
????
You will have to do it from ur computer. U will have to select in itunes which photos to sync or whether to sync any at all. To keep controls and complexity to a bare minimum apple doesn't allow many 'management' related operations to be done from the ipod itself.

Two simple questions i cant figure out please help!
hey guys, i used soundtrack before on a 20 minute long project and i looked all over and cant figure out how to do this one simple thing! its a professional audio editing program but i cant figure out how to do a simple fade in or have a clip just fade out...i couldnt find it in the help either...it would deffidently help in my project and blend everything together nicer...im not talking about a transition between two clips but just a single clip alone having it fade in and fade out?
my other question is the audio levels. i see on the left hand side you can adjust it for each individual layer...but is there anyway to adjust the individual clips? the project i did before that was 20 minutes had like 25 layers! because all of the layers had usually one seperate clip alone in it since i couldnt make each clip in the layer have its own individual unique audio level adjustment. im sure there is a way and its probably real simple!
these are jus two dumb questions i feel stupid for aksing for but would be greatly appreciated if you could help!!! thanks!!!Maybe this will be fixed in 2.0. For now, if you right click on the clip and choose "open in editor", the clip will open as an audio file. There you'll be able to highlight an area and select "fade out" (or fade in). It will update in your multi track project.
You can do the same thing for levels. Or you can use the envelope levels, set keyframes, and adjust the gain accordingly.
I know, not an easy way to do a lot of clips.

i cant remember the answers to my security questions. i have reset my password and added the recovery email account but still cant figure out how to purchase new content. it asks me the same security questions. i also have a temp pin. how do i fix this?
If you've just added an address to your account then it will be an alternate/secondary email address, a rescue email address can only be added by answering 2 of your security questions. If you already had one on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email addressthen you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 -
My ipod touch is disabled, i installed the latest version of itunes, but cant figure out how to restore the ipod, can anyone help?
If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

For a breakdown of the lab go urlhttp://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~paolo/teaching/494MJ/labs/lab8.shtml{url}. If you don't feel like reading that: THe program reads in some command line arguments. From there it reads from the file provided in the command line and creates "keys" from the specified length. From there I need to create a phrase of the specified length. If i am supposed to create more then one then i do. That is pretty much it. I can't figure out where (really why) the NullPointerException error is coming from.
Help is appreciated!!Post the actual error text (copy and paste, don't "interpret" it) here.
It should include a stack trace which references a line number of the program -
unless you suppressed the trace, in which case change your error handling
so that the trace is produced.
Identify which program line in your post the error is pointing to so that we can match
the error with your program, since your post doesn't have line numbers..

I just downloaded the latest itunes and i cant figure out how to update my iphone apps on my computer now. I go to the toolbar on the top and press search for updates and it tells me that the latest version of itunes is already downloaded or that there are no updates available at this time. Previously, i would be able to go to the apps page on itunes and then press search for updates and then download all. Then I would sync with my phone and both phone and computer would be updated. Now I can only update on the phone and I know Im going to encounter where it tells me the info for downloading is too large to do it on your phone, hence my first question.....where do I go to update my apps on my computer????
While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.
Hope this helps.
