Cant find moved folder of bookmarks

I have multiple pulldowns on my favorites bar that previously looked in c:\mel\doccuments and settings\%20and%20settings\mel\favorites\links\handy which was initally chosen by firefox at installation " I think"
Due to a technician rearranging my system the LIST OF SITES & URLS are now located in C:\MEL\FAVORITES\FAVORITES BAR
How can I get Firefox to look in this new file location? OR where may I move them to be used by Firefox.
Other favorite pulldown sites are also located there and need to be found by Firefox.

no rows selectedMoving the table did not change the fact that the table is owned by mohib. If anyone else - besides mohib - wants to access the table they have to either prefix the name of the table with the owner ('MOHIB') or create themselves a synonym.

    Hi shldr2thewheel,
it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
Sincerely in need of help once again,
    Kim

It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes)

i'm on a Mac.  upgraded  from cs3 to cs6.  I opened a new  Photoshop file and went to do an action that I normally do with this type of file. (I have created my own action.) But Actions is no longer where it used to be — which I think was in the History area, but I'm not sure, I just go by feel. In any case, I can't find anything having to do with Actions. Where is it hiding?

In the Actions Panel, which you can turn on from the Window menu in Photoshop.

If you've disabled DAE in Logic, and you're using built-in audio or your interface (I saw your other thread) then it seems your preferences got scrambled, as that info is contained in "audiohardwarepreferences" in the .plist file.
Try moving this file to your desktop, restart Logic, and see if your problems persist. It's in your User Library here:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.plist

  • Itunes cant find "iTunes" folder in Windows XP Professional

after installation of iTunes 4.7.1 without error messages, iTunes wont start up. Keeps giving error message:
The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "My Music" folder.
On my windows xp box, there is a "My Music" folder at desktop level (c:\My Music ). iTunes installed iteself under Program Files (c:\Program Files\iTunes).
What is going on here? Is there a fix? I called Apple Tech Support. They walked me thru uninstall of the 4.7.1 and install of iTunes 5.1. Still get the same error.
When I google the error message, I can see quite a few people reporting frustration with this problem. Is it a known issue? If so, what is the solution!!!
    Thanx

I am having the exact same problem as Ravi. I recently upgraded to iTunes version 5.0 and now the program will not even open. It hangs for about a minute and then the error box pops up with:
"The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "My Music" folder."
I have checked on the location of iTunes. It is in the right location but what is wierd is that when I click on the "My Music folder in the Explorer Window, my machine hangs for about 30 seconds before showing the contents. Then when I click on "iTunes" folder, the machine hangs indefinitely. It simply will not show me the contents of the folder. Eventually it gives me an error:
"Request cannot be performed because of an I/O device error."
I just reinstalled the iTunes 2 days ago hoping it would fix the problem, but no luck...I also tried the Tweak UI program, but to no avail...my machine hangs when I try to pick the "My Music" folder in the final step of the process.
Has anyone else had this problem?

  • I CANT FIND MY FOLDER

ok, so i had the abracadabra widget and i had 3 folders in it. One of the folders had a class project that I was working on that is due on the day of my final, which is Wednesday. I looked at recent documents and it now shows the name of the project I was working on except that it has a period in fron of it. The three folders used to be on the desktop before I dragged them to abracadabra. I think that all that widget did was hide them from view, so if ANYONE can help me retrieve that file I would appreciate that SOOO much.

Abracadabra cannot retrieve your file? The description of the widget on Apple's website says that it can.
Any file whose name starts with a '.' will not be visible in the Finder. You can use a utility like Tinkertool to easily make those files visible in the Finder.

  • Help I cant find my folder!!!

OK, this is just someting thats been bugging me for a few years (not enough I suppose).
But in the old days.... (system 7.5 ish) there was an option somewhere within to remember last folder used.
Example I have 10 jpegs on my desktop, I open them all in ps work on them and save them back to a clientA folder sitting in documents, after I have saved the first jpeg to clientA, I'd assume the next jpeg i work on and save as would default to the clientA folder without me having to locate it again and again for all 10 files.
In Quark of old there was a tick box remember last folder or something to that effect.
Help me out here I waste a lot of time, locating folders.
    I'm running leopard and cs4

    gary,
By the way, you should NEVER work directly on .jpgs without first saving them in a non-lossy format. Convert them to .psd or .tif. Work on those as much as you wish, then save and keep them as .psd or .tif. Then, if you must have the .jpg format (for, say, a Website or email)
save a copy as a .jpg.
Every time you open --> edit --> save --> open a .jpg, you are replacing some of the data with garbage (artifacts). Higher quality .jpgs have fewer artifacts and they may not be initially visible. But why corrupt your good images?

  • Cant find Classes folder in my J2sdkee1.3.1

    Its not j2sdjee1.3.1 but j2sdkee1.3.1

This might not relate to this case, but anyway:why
do all those people that write they're currently
working on an EJB-or-whatnot project post their
trivial questions in here instead of simply askinga
co-worker? It can't be because they don't want to
appear clueless to their co-workers, I bet theystill
do nevertheless.I bet they'd be put in just for the sake of getting
something out of the,... I know a few software
companies who behave like "Three newbies put
together could do the job of a person working for 3
years". This one might be falling under the same
category. When they ask questions... which obviously
is greek to them... they sound funny to their
    co-workers.
I train a few like these nowadays. *SIGH*
***Annie***More likely the entire team is made up of those newbies and all of them are as clueless as the poster so even with their combined mental powers (or lack thereof) they can't arrive at even blatantly obvious answers.
But maybe I'm overly sarcastic, it has been suggested to me at times that I have the tendency ;)

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • I placed a personal folder in the sidebar of the finder. It had NB folders inside. This sidebar folder accidentally got dragged and went "poof" into a cloud of smoke. I cannot find the folder or it's NB contents anywhere. Help years of work!

    Hi,
I need your help Please, I fear I might have lost years worth of work.
I had created 3 personal folders In my Home folder.
I then created a new folder called "active folder" and dragged these 3 folders inside, removing them from the Home folder.
I then dragged my newly created folder "Active Folder" to the Sidebar of the finder.
When I had closed finder and reopened it - the "active Folder" folder was unable to open.
A friend tried to help- dragged "active folder" off the sidebar.. and it disappeared with a cloud effect.
I cant find that folder or its NB contents anywhere,
Please help me with some advice if you can.
    Not using tiger or Lion.*

When you created that "active folder," where did you create it?  And after you added it to the sidebar, what did you do with it?  If the data is truly nowhere to be found on your system, even using EasyFind, then I suspect you mistakenly deleted it, thinking that you had copied it to the sidebar.  That would explain why you later found that the "active folder" was unable to open from the sidebar.  The sidebar is just another way to access the original item, and if you deleted the original item, it can't do its job.
Unfortunately, if this is what you did and you don't have any backups, you may be out of luck.  I don't know what you mean by saying you "did the whole data recovery 1's and 0's," but if you haven't already done so, you should try some dedicated data recovery software, to see if those deleted files may still be on the drive.  See Recovering deleted files.
Ultimately, this is not a flaw in the Mac system, it is a flaw in your use of it.  I strongly recommend some reading to get up to speed:
