Cant find my library, only purchased music
I just bought a new lap top. I have my purchased music, but not my playists. Please help

Make sure you are running the latest iTunes (11.0.2) on your computer. Sync your iPhone to your computer using iTunes on your computer. Check details about this in the User Manual. Then you should be fine.

Wanted to show my 6 year old doing ice bucket challenge but Apple tv wouldn't see PC. So I was going to reset family sharing and Apple in its infinite wisdom made it so it turns off the remote capability of the "remote" app on my ios devices when you do that. I'm usually against warning, but you should have one before you actually turn it off from the remote app thus rendering it useless...
So my PC friends are like "Apple it just works"...
It did just work before my iphone 6+ and IOS 8..
NOW I say no problem. Ill show you on the ipad. I go to navigate to the "videos" section and look for "shared".... not there.. only option is Store in the upper left hand corner..

I went to home share and it said that i still had to many computers authorized. I personally have not installed that many. Is there a way that i can look at all of them and choose which one to de authorize?

I can't find some of my purchased music
I can only find some of my purchased music. I bought an album and I only see one song left from it, and it was a whole album when I downloaded it. Also I bought a lot of Michael Jackson music, and when I bring up my purchased music, I don't see any of his music, or of the album music mentioned above, except for one song. How do I get that music to display too.
You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer. -
Hi, I have changed from an old laptop to a macbook air. how can i keep my music from my iPhone and sync it my macbook? Only purchased music seems to be available to sync, even though the rest of the music was uploaded from CD's on my last laptop.
As I can't upload CD's onto the Macbook Air, how do I keep the existing music on my iphone syn onto my new macbook without deleting all the cds on the iphone??

Are you pressing the Sync button to transfer music after connecting your iPhone or do you have the option checked to 'Automatically Sync when the iPhone is connected?'
Have you tried manually dragging and dropping music from your library into your phone? -
I have photoshop C6 on my MAC Pro and want to install it on my new MAC desktop. I sent the files with AirDrop but photoshop wont open I get an error message that it cant find the Library. Any thoughts?

I need help trying to locate where I can find all of my purchased music from my account with the iTunes, to enable me to sync it back on to my new iPhone 3G... Any suggestions please??
I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems. -
I no longer have the PC that had my CD library and purchased music on iTunes. I am now on another PC and managed to download my purchased iTunes music etc. Is there a way on iTunes that I can get back my old CD music library without ripping again ? Earlier back up is corrupted. Thank you in advance. No longer have my old iPod but getting new one.
If you had the hard drive from the original machine, a backup of the same, an iPod with the media, or a subscription to iTunes Match then there would have been hope, but alas no.

How do I get music onto my iPhone without having to download it from the Cloud? My iPhone gives the error "sync will resume when "computer" is available" on the final step of synching. The computer says "waiting for changes to be applied" but the phone doesn't have the two little sync arrows anymore. Seems it will stay like that for hours if I don't cancel it. I've tried syncing the songs with the cord & without the cord; using only purchased music or only a few songs. I've restarted both devices & both are updated with the latest software. My phone says it hasn't synced in 5 months, even though I've tried. WiFi is working. I've tried checking and unchecking the box in iTunes. I've turned Windows Firewall on/off. Ran the diagnostics in iTunes. Nothing seems to work. Help!

I would recommend re syncing the music to the phone from iTunes by unchecking the sync music checkbox in iTunes, sync, then re check it and sync again.
For reference this is what I mean:
Syncing music
Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select your your iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window.
In the main iTunes browser window, select Music.
Select the option to Sync Music. You may also select "Include Music videos" if you would like to sync Music videos to a device.

I don't know what has changed, but all my non-purchased music is missing from my library.

However during the process of adding new songs itunes crashed and i had to end task therefor not getting the chance to sync the new songs onto ipod nano. later when i plugged in my current ipod touch all my songs have disappeared and i cant find the original itunes library i had for it! is there anyway to get it back? i have tried pressing shift when opening itunes but still cant find the original itunes that i had!!
Since all of your music came from your computer in the first place, then it should still be there and should be included in your backup copy of your computer.

You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one one library. -

Films can't be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where they can be not all film studios have agreed to it. If you are in a country where you can re-download them and it's still in the store then is it hidden (hiding and unhiding purchases). If not then have you got a copy of it on your computer or on a backup that you can sync to your iPhone ?
