Cant find my phone
I have a Lumia 520. Wanted to test the "find my phone" feature. Logged into Windows 8 phones and followed prompts. I then hit find my phone and a search line on the bottom only moved a few centremetres and then disappeared and it says in the middle. "No phone found". I am in Australia on the Gold Coast. Am I doing something wrong?

it is not going to be pin-point accurate like a movie should suggest, but rather, depending on the line-of-site of satellites, more is better, withing about 15feet-80feet.
so being that youre inside, on a desk, and still getting only probably about 30 feet or so away, is relevant.
lets just hope you dont have to go knocking on any doors anyways!

Open a browser and go to https://icloud.com/find. Log in with your Apple ID and passcode. If your phone is enabled for Find my iPhone and it is powered on and connected to a network you will see where it is. You can play a sound on it from this screen. It will sound even it is set to silent.

my ex girlfriend stepped on my fone and decided to type in the wrong security code numerous times till it got locked for 23,648,410 minutes. the guy at genius bar said i should do a restore but once i done it its now stuck on "conect to itunes" screen. when i connect the phone to my computer, my computer cannot connect to the phone. im travellin on business and desperately need my phone to work. can anyone help?
Are you getting any kind of error message at all regarding the failure to connect, or is it just not seeing it as there?

How can I make my iTunes find my phone..?What kind of netbook? Is it running a "real" version of Windows, or is it running Windows "Starter" edition?
I've seen lots of complaints from people running Windows Starter Edition on cheap netbooks. You may need to get a "real" computer. Many netbooks are hobbled beyond belief. Think about it... a fair number of them cost less than the iPhone does, even discounted with a multi-year contract. That should give you an idea of its capabilities. -
so maybe im stupid.... yes... i am! but #3 on backing up tells me to: 3.Choose File > Devices > Back up. .....but choose file from where? i go to itunes... cant find where to sign in. have downloaded newest version. i used to backup on this computer... its been so long because my IT guy at the office used to do it for me and i havent done itfrom this computer in a loooong time.
keep going to itunes.... cant find the phone icon... or where to sign in for that matter. used to be pretty smart. help;-/It's referring to File in the status bar in the upper left of computer screen. File, Edit, View, window, Help

I realized today I was missing my phone, so I logged onto MobileMe to find it, set a password or possibly wipe the info. To my surprise it said "No Devices Registered". This must be due to the fact that I just loaded the new iO4S. I had no idea that it would unregister me to MobileMe and now I cant find the phone and my info is there for all to see. Anyway, maybe I should have been aware of this, but for those of you who have not done so, Re-register the phone with MM.
JGI had a similar situation where I lost my iPhone this week after upgrading to iOS 4. Find My iPhone said I didn't have a device registered, even though this used to work before the upgrade. Fortunately I later found my iPhone. I checked the Settings and Find My iPhone under my MobileMe account was turned on (as it had been before the upgrade). So I tried toggling the setting off, then back on. That fixed it so Find My iPhone now shows the location of my iPhone. Unfortunately this advice only helps someone who hasn't lost their iPhone yet.

My pc cant find my phone, when its in PC suite mode. The programm does not see it. My N96 is running on the latest v12 firmware and seems pretty stable. The odd thing is that a few weeks ago it worked all fine, and then stopped for no reason. The phone can still be used in mass storage and other modes.
So, what I have already done
1) Reset'ed the phone.
2) reinstalled the newest PC suite
3) reinstalled cable drivers.

How do i get find my phone to make a loud noise even though my phone is on silent
cant find my phone - its on silent - i can hear it and find my iphone also is silent
So it is not just the screen that died, but the whole phone? If the screen were defective, you could probably try to plug it to iTunes and restore the phone as new. If the phone is totally dead and unresponsive, there is not much you can do.

AIO Remote app cant find HP 7150 aio printer on my wifi network, on Windows Phone 8

Yesterday I install You App AIO Remote on Windows Phone 8. I have connected to wifi HP 7150 aio printer, but phone cant find this printer... I have Lumia 1520 and Lumia 920 smartphones both is connect to this same wifi network like printer, but You app on both Lumias cant find printer, again but no problem is to connect to printer WEB interface from this both Lumias, so wifi network is correct configured.
I have two tablet more in this same wifi network, both with windows 8.1 x64 systems, on this, You Windows 8 modern App AIO Remote find this same printer without problem...
So what is wrong ? printer config ? eprint is on, ipp is on, bonjur is on, ip is static.
Please help Me becease I wait for this app and now i cant use them

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are trying to use the new HP AiO Remote app for Windows phones to print to your Photosmart 7150 printer.
The Photosmart 7150 printer only supports USB connectivity, I have include the Photosmart 7150 Printer Specifications for reference. To be able to use the HP AiO Remote app the printer needs to be connected to a wireless network.
If you accidentally typed the incorrect printer model, please let me know which make/model/product number of HP printer that you have. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

I havent had service for a week now. It comes and goes and just keeps saying searching. The AT&T rep said to back up on computer and then do a restore of the iphone. When I go to restore it wants me to turn off the find my phone in icloud. I go to do that and it says it cant deregister the device??

It sounds like you are trying to restore your phone but are unable to turn off Find my iPhone to do so. If you have already backed up your phone to iTunes on your computer with the info from the article named:

I would try deleting the iCloud account from the phone altogether, then restoring the phone again.
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.

hey guys i need your help! my ipad 3 has gone blank. i have been able to restart it by pressing down on both keys but now it wont work. the screen illuminates and i still get notifications but its just a black screen. i tried to restore it on itunes but it tells me to turn off find my phone app. well i cant do thay because i cant access my ipad. i am so frustrated! my ipad is only 1.5 years old so its still fairly new. can anyone tell me how to delete the app on my laptop? i have tried but no success yet. when i go into my icloud account i cant find anywhere that says to turn off or delete find my phone. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Go to http://www.icloud.com in your computer's internet browser. Sign in, go to Find My iPhone, locate your device there.

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Unfortunately, you cannot retrieve the pictures from iCloud without an Apple device.
