Cant find my photo libaray

everytime i plug my camera to my ibook to transfer my pictures to my g4 it seems that my laptop wont read it,i cant find my photo library how can i install it again?please help

Can you explain this problem again, please?
Why would you connect your camera to your ibook in order to transfer the photos to your G4? Why not connect it directly to the G4?
Then you say that your laptop won't "read it"? Read what? The camera? The Library?

No. It is simply a conduit to send to other computers/iOS devices.
You really (really, really, really) should send that suggestion here -> http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html
I have and I urge others to do the same.
Agreed!  It would be nice to edit photos from the website.  As it is, it's very easy to ADD photos to Photostream.  I use Aperture, and all you do is click a button at the top of the screen.  However, you cannot delete photos individually... go figure.  To me, this is a stunning omission and makes the service much less useful.

  • HT4236 i cant find the photo tab under the ipad at the left side

    hello
i got dell vostro. i got back from a trip, whike i was at the trip i download pictures ti my ipad from the sd.
i edit the pic in ulbums.
now i want to move my albums to the pc.
i read the support answer about it but i cant find  the photo tab on the left side under the ipad device.
    thanks
    amit

It doesn't appear on the left-hand side, a Photos tab appears on the right-hand side of your computer's iTunes when you've selected the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side - but that is only used to copy photos to the iPad, not to copy them off.
To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page -  on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard

  • I do have all my backups but cant find my photos???

HAve all my backups but cant find my photos!!

The backup does include camera roll photos (unless you excluded them in your backup settings) but you have to restore the entire backup to your device in order to recover them.

  • When i sync my iphone i cant find my photos anywhere on my computer? help:

i have a notebook pc windows vista and when i sync my iphone it tells me my photos are being synced but i cant find them anywhere on my computer! ive been looking for the past 2 weeks.. its taking me hours and i jus dont know where they are! its driving me insane, i wanna print photos

Syncing goes from your computer to your device, not the other way around. If you want to copy photos off your iPhone then it's not done via iTunes. Photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . If you want to copy off photos that were originally synced from your computer then you will need an app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free 'lite' version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer)

  • Since iv downloaded the new itunes i cant find my photo albums

since iv downloaded the new iTunes i cant fine my photo albums?

    Click on LIBRARY on the top right;
    Select MOVIES from the drop down menu on the top left;
Click on RENTED on the top center.
It took me about an hour to find that out.
They should have a link from the iTunes Store, or explain what to do after we pay for the rental.

  • HT6378 I cant find my photo library after loading it to iCloud.

I tried to upload my library of about 2300 photos to iCloud. It only loaded about 4 photos but now I cant find the rest of my photos. What happened to them?

i already tried uninstalling it then when im downloading it said it is already installed but still it has no icon and i cant see it either on the application management.
tried also wiping the data and downloading again but on the appworld it says "an error has occured communicating with the Blackberry App world web plug in. Please restart your device and try again. If you have content protection enabled on your device, please diable and try again" I already did it but it was always the error.

  • HT1296 i have synced my iphone with laptop but cant find my photos looks like every thing else is there

i have synced my iphone with laptop cant find photos?

Syncing does not move photos from the iPhone to the computer. Moving photos from the Camera Roll on the phone to the computer is done by importing photos, just like you would with a digital camera. Connect the iPhone, start your importing program if Auto Run does not start, and import pictures.

  • Cant find iPhone photos in iPhoto

I'm not able to find the photos that are on my iPhone in iPhoto. When the device is connected to the Mac, I can see the photos on the phone only. Please can you advise?

Photos in the camera roll are "imported" to the computer from the iPhone, they are not really synced. On the Mac, you would use iPhoto to transfer the pictures to the computer.
Pictures that you have on the computer would be the ones that you would sync to the iPhone using iTunes. Photos are placed in a folder on the computer, that folder is selected in iTunes and then you do a sync. When that is done, the pictures are copied to the iPhone. Then, any changes that you make to the folder on the computer will be changed on the iPhone during the next sync process.
Anything that is significantly different for a Mac can be explained by Allan, since he is a Mac, I'm a PC

  • I cant find my photos

I cant seem to get used to this Photo thing on iMac. I can see my photos are all on there but when for example I want to add one of those new photos to a website photos can't locate my recent photos. if you get me. So why is it accessible in Photos, yet I can't find them in finder?? very strange.

Because Photos, like iPhoto and Aperture before it, replaces the Finder for anything to do with your pictures.
Use the Media Browser for uploading. You can access it from whatever website you're using:

  • Newbie - cant find the photos I have edited in iPhoto on my HD!

Apologies for such a daft posting, but this is driving me nuts! Trying to upload an edited photo to a website, and cannot find it when browsing my HD.
Sigh, where am I not looking?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Your files are stored in the iPhoto Library - it's in your Pictures Folder.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
*For users of 10.4 and later* ...
Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Rebuilt thumbnails in 6.06, now library empty, cant find any photos

Had about 20,000 photos in the library that were never well organized and after a requested thumbnail rebuild the entire thing is empty and cannot find a single photo on the drive. Have no recent backup, but scattered backups on DVD's over the years that would take days to sort through. Any way of easily re-locating the library? Nothing was trashed and hard drive space has not been reduced telling me they are still there somewhere but all searches for the photos have come up empty. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
First off: Go to your Pictures Folder: In there is a folder called the iPhoto Library Folder, and within that you'll see a Folder called Originals. Therein should be rolls folders and inside those: your pics
    To confirm: HD/Users/YOUR NAME/ Pictures/ iPhoto Library Folder/ Originals / Roll
Confirm that your pics are there.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same film rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library Folder to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the *Originals only* folder drag the individual rolls to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
