Cant find song on new computer...

I bought a new computer. Synced my ipod to the new itunes that I downloaded. Saw one of my songs did not sync up. Tried to buy the song angain and was unable to do so. How can I get this song again?

To use iCloud you must have at least Mac OS X 10.7.2...if you have that, then go to System Preferences and the iCloud icon will be on the left side under Internet and Network...click on the icon and setup iCloud as you want it to work on your MBP.

  • Cant update songs on new computer

I just purchased a new computer and it wont let me update any songs or videos . It keeps telling me that the ipod is linked to another library, and I can delete the existing library and replace it with the new library. I dont want to delete the existing library, I just want to add onto it

Follow the instructions in this article, or the article it links to if you are using iTunes 7.

  • I cant sync songs to new computer

my old computer memory was erased and i only was able to transfre the apps and about 71 out of the 200+ songs to the new computor

If there were iTunes purchases did you try this:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Note that if you have different iTunes accounts, the computer has to be authorized for all of them.

  • Transferring songs to new computer

Our desktop computer is very sick and I am attempting to set up my son's iPod on our laptop. Two questions: 1-Are you able to do this? 2-If so, how do you do this without losing all of the songs and how do you transfer songs to new computer?
    Thanks for any assistance.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved also it was written long before iTunes 7 so it requires a little adaptation as the iPod preferences are no longer in the location described. Also it won't transfer playlists or videos as far as I know. However if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back

I have photo stream on and took photos recently and cant find them on my computer. I tried restarting the computer but still nothing. How do I get them on photo stream?

Try the following on your MBP:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • Transferred songs but new computer can't find file

I transferred my music library with my mini to a new computer but now the new computer says it cannot find my any of my songs because "the original file cannot be found". And yet it looks like it transferred, the new library has all 609 songs. Any thoughts on how to get this opened up.

  • Cant Synch CD songs onto new computer

Got a new computer, have music from CDs I put on my Ipod. Cant synch them onto my new computer's Itunes, only the ones I bought off there directly. How can I get my CD songs onto Itunes from my Ipod?

You copy them from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer.
The ipod is not a backup device.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases.

  • How do I move iTunes and all songs to new computer without loosing ratings?

I recently purchased a new computer and have been trying to migrate everything to it. I downloaded Itunes to my new computer and moved all music on to the new computer. While I have successfully set up iTunes on the new computer (including setting the proper iTunes Music folder location under Edit/Preferences/Advanced/General), I cannot find a way to import ALL (Over 60 gig) of music into iTunes. The best I have been able to figure out is to add each individual folder from an artist to the library (this would be a HUGE amount of time!) and in so doing I would loose ALL the time I have spent rating songs (very important to me for My Top Rated). Is there a way to import all music on a specific drive into iTunes AND keep the preferences from the prior computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
