Cant get 5.1 output on 2.1 input

Sorry if this has been posted before, a search turned out nothing a like.
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit ultimate from Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate 700 build. I have an X-Fi XtremeGamer PCi card.
I installed my drivers the same as I always do, but I can't get my soundcard to output at 5., other than 5. sources. I thought there might be a setting somewhere hidden that was saying 2 channels. But I tried a DVD with 5., and all my speakers worked.
No idea what is wrong, only thing different is the fact this is the release build, and it is 32 bit not 64. Pulling my hair out :<.
And also CMS3D isn't working either, if that help the diagnosing process. (However all other features work).
Any help is genuinely appreciated.,

Since you say that the same connectors work on your other TV is suggests that the fault is not in the connectors but your Vizio TV. I would check the settings on the Vizio TV. Verify that is is set to receive HDMI input. Perhaps you or some one else has inadvertently changed them. Pressing the wrong buttons on a remote control device can do that. (I am assuming no changes were made in SYSTEM PREFERENCES>DISPLAYS)

Getting box says 'Do you use Yahoo toolbar on multiple computers' cant get rid of box. Wont accept input or close!

The box has two buttons. One says 'save to my Yahoo!ID' the other says 'no thanks, just save to this computer'. I can press each button but nothing seems to happen. The only way to get rid of the box is to close firefox. I am using an HP s5713w-b and windows-7.
I downloaded the firefox with the Yahoo enhancements.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How to set Back ground job & get my desired output layout in sm36 & sm37 ?

Hai SAP ABAP/BASIS Gurus,
I am currently taking ME2N PO Pending value Report by setting variant in input screen & setting my own output layout ie only four field ie.Plant, Material,Currency,Still to be delivered value will be visible in output screen
I set Back ground in sm36 using my variant & i saw my output in sm37.. But I cant get output as my desired field..
This is my problem..
1) I Cant Get the Same output in shedule job [sm36 & sm37] like When i run in foreground for ME2n.
I am using ALV Scope of list..
2) If I use BEST Layout in Scope of list means i get the desired Output field layout as same as my foreground output field..
I want to get the output layout as desired & also in ALV format[ Useful for excel work]
Kindly guide me.

Hi Swetha,
To get the missed fields in the spool, while creating the background job(execute in background option) you can see the printer setting block at the end of the background job settings window, in that check the 'Spool Request Max. Width 255 char' check box and then continue. It will generate the spool list with maximum width and you can see all the fields in the spool output.

Cant get any more than 8 outputs in Logic 8.0.2 - I 've 16 outs in Protools

I have the following config . . .
Pro Tools HD connected to Apogee AD 16 X with X card (or whatever its called !)
Also have apogee DA 16X
In Protools I can access all my 16 Outputs on the channels no probs
Whereas with Logic 8.02 - I cant access all my outputs - only 1-8.
I have tried Audio midi Setup. No joy.
Any ideas how I can create more outputs?

i dont have digidesign hardware other than the HD 3. The Apogee connects directly to the HD card via digilink cable.
I have 16 analogue outputs with the Apogee DA 16X but can only select 1-8 outputs using digicore audio driver. In PT's I can select all 16 outputs. It has nothing to do with the mono or stereo outputs for those who were asking.
I heard that Digidesign might limit the number of outputs to 8 using the digicore audio driver.
Hi - I have the following setup.
Intel Dual Core Xeon 3 GHz
Protools 7.4
Logic 8.0.2
OSX 10.4.9
Protools HD 3 connected to Apogee AD16x (via Digilink) and then to Apogee DA16X.
In Preferences - Audio I have selected TDM driver Only. I am not getting any sound. When it plays an error message comes up 'Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI'
I can get sound using Digicore Audio but am limited to 8 outputs and cannot use my TDM.
Does anybody have a similar setup working? Any ideas on how to get it working?

i am trying to get tv out from my laptop and desktop pc to panasonic 42" plasma tv .. i can only take 1920x1080 1080p/50hz display .
i tried everythink but i cant get work kms line in my grub menu ..
all i need is 1080p/60 hz display from grub menu .

I have the MSI K8M Neo-V Socket 754 VIA K8M800 ATX AMD Motherboard. I cant get the onboard audio to work. I've downloaded and ran necessary drivers and still pc can not find an output sound device anyone have any ideas

Satellite A300-1LT PSAGCE - Cant get resolution higher than 1280x800 on external monitor

I have toshiba Satellite A300-1LT PSAGCE, and I connected additional profeccional monitor LP3065, but I cant get resolution higher than 1280x800, and this only works over HDMI, via VGA output i get only black screen.
Any suggestions?

Cant get Rear Speakers working...

Well... I got soundblaster audigy ...and Front left and front right is working... but i cant get the rears to work... I got the output of the amp.. into black hole of the sound card... was there anymore i was supposed to do.. e.g setup ?... thanks in advance

Do you mean Amp-->black jack or black jack -> amp (i.e. which way do you want the signal go: PC-->amp or amp-->PC?)? If the latter then just connect the amp output into line-in of soundcard.
Normally, if you want to playback (stereo) audio from PC through external amp, your settings for Audigy are:
- speakers set to 4/4.
- CMSS ON, Stereo Surround
(- try also different device driver modes in your playback software (DirectSound, MME, WDM, etc.))
If you're using nati've ASIO capable player as like NI BeatPort Player, you just set the speaker mode to 4/4. and set the software output through Rear L/R.

Cant get battery to charge

I cant get battery on power book to charge. The addapter will power it but it wont charge is the battery gone or is it the addapter. It just happend all of a sudden.

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
If you are using a sound system/receiver, make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of content? If you use optical you might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device?

Help require to get the XML output to design template- JDE

I am asking this question from JDE perspective.I want to design XMLP Template for R40572 Check Printing.
When I upload an blank template and after attaching RD, When ever I initiate a check from P04572 Application.RThe Write Row exit will lead to check printing which in turn will call a batch R04571 and this batch will call R04572(Which I require the XML output) since it is the second report and we cant direct it to local server I am not able to get the XML output..
Another think is since its running in server i think its not taking the RD modification we done in loacl because it always fires PDF .

I assume you're Using XMPOSA for generating the files locally. What I suggest is, you set the application to run with the report definition by default. That way, even when it is called, it will be called along with the report definition. You can take the resultant XML file from P95630

Cant get 50fps with decklink SDI in FLME

Hello and good morning
I cant get 50fps in FLME setting while already select 720p 50fps as source. Im using PAL camera so that my camera can only output 50fps... 25fps work fine if i set my camera to 1080i 25fps. But this setting not available when connecting to my Mixer. So in conclusion i really need to stream 720p 50fps.
any idea??

FMLE do not support 720p/50 video capture. Only somehow (i'm using blackmagic updowncross or out feed from AJA KiPro) upconvert to 1080i/50 and than 1080/25 setting will bring video to it. And you have to set "deinterlace".

A few of the basic OS X installed applications can be restored from the Optional Installs installer located in the Optional installs folder on your Installer DVD. However, if what you need is not there then follow the instructions below.
How to Use Pacifist to Restore Deleted or Missing OS X Components
Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive. Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items. Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
Press RETURN.
To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
Download the shareware utility Pacifist from VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
A. Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
B. Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
C. Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go to Folder.
In the path field enter or paste ....
/Volumes/disc name/System/Installation/Packages (where disc name is the name of the CD/DVD that you inserted.
• Click on the "Go" button .....
• Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
1. In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
2b. or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
3. In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
4. On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
5. Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
20 files were scanned.

0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package.
0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
6. Click “close”. Go to step 7.
Extract or Install........
7. In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
8. If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears,authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
9. In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
10. If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
11. Type in your password, click “OK”
• Pacifist will begin to extract files.
12. In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
Notes.....
• Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....

In the DVD software, select 'SPDIF' as the audio output method and make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the souncard options is?off. The DVD software will now pass the compressed audio to your soundcard, which will then decode the data. The soundcard will output the 6 channels using the?analogue connections (or digital DIN, more on this later). If you try?to use a digital optical/coax connection to your speakers, you will only hear faint sounds from the front left/right speakers.
3) Decode the AC3/DTS with software.?If you have a soundcard that doesn't support Dolby Digital (like the SB Li've! 24-bit) and you don't have digital speakers, the only way for you to get surround sound in movies is to use software to decode the AC3/DTS. The free versions of DVD software you get with hardware often don't support this feature,? you will most likely need a full version. First select 'Dolby Digital' or 'DTS' decoding in the DVD software audio options (you must select the right?sound format for the movie you are watching). Then make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the soundcard options is off. As with method (2) you must connect your speakers with the 3 analogue cables, not optical/coax.
