3GS has lost signal and saying searching, normally get a signal in the area.
ANY IDEAS HOW TO SORT THIS??

Take out your SIM card and re-seat it. Make sure your phone is OFF when you pop out the tray and push it back in.
If your phone still has no service afterwards you need to call your cellular provider to activate the SIM card.

hi peter, that was the plan to get o2 to unlock the which they do 4 £15 but as i cant get any network signal signal of them (but i am getting a 3g signal as i can access the internet???) o2 are saying there is nowt they can do. i still get no signal after doing a factory reset which in a perfect world should reset my network back to o2 but no signal only getting 3g.im at lost now on how to restore the network im sure its something to do with the carrier signal ?

Cant get GPS signal

I have problem on my iPhone 3GS...I have a lot of GPS apps on it,like (Navigon,iGO,Sygic,CityMaps2go..) but I cant get good signal in any application to make it working...It also cant detect me in iPhone Maps app...I can get my location when connected on WiFi...I was in Belgium,Netherlands,Germany,Austria,Slovenia and still cant get signal...How can I solve it????

I cant get a signal for nothing.

Just recently I had my battery replaced, now I cant even get a signal in certian parts of town. I have tried everything and it didnt work, can anyone help?? I have restored my iphone and everything.

I don't know how you can determine that. Looking at it won't tell you anything. Anyhow, if the problem started when you took it to a 3rd party to have the battery replaced, then take it back to them.
You can not get it serviced by Apple any more. Once it's been opened by someone other than them, they won't touch it.

I cant get a signal from my line in when I connect my guitar directly into the input jack

I have several electric guitars. I set the GarageBand (and system preference) settings to the "line-in input" in garage band and have plugged my guitar directly into my MacBook Pro using a regular guitar cable and a reducer to fit the laptop input. I have had no luck getting any sort of signal out of this. When I spoke with the guys at the Genius Bar they said I should be able to plug right in. I think I may need an amplifier or something because I don't think any juice is getting to my pickups. Is there something I am missing?

Your pickups don't need any "juice" to work, but still your signal might be too low for a decent recording. Apple keeps advertising that you could just plug your guitar into the computer, but it doesn't work for most people. Try to run your guitar through anything that amplifies it - a pre-amp, for example, or your stereo.

You can see if the Mac recognizes the monitor in System Preferences > Displays. There will be an "Arrangement" tab that appears when a second monitor is detected. Options can be selected there.

I have a new 4GEE Extra plan which apparently gives me the use of calls and texts while abroad..... however i cant get any signal at all and all the networks under a manual scan can connect either. Anyone got any ideas?

Given what you describe, I'd actually deduce a faulty SIM as the cause. If it required a password, then the prompt would be different than what you report. The fact that you get the same error with two different devices even further supports the faulty SIM conclusion. You need to contact the supplier to you of the SIM for replacement.

Cant get midi out signals

I use a Yamaha Disklavier as a keyboard connected to Garageband. I can send midi data from the keyboard to Garageband. When I playback the recorded track, I cant get any midi out data to play the Disklavier. When I use other home studio software, it works perfectly. When I use "Test Setup" in the "Audio MIDI Setup" utility, the Disklavier receives the test signals and plays perfectly the notes. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

GB doesn't send any Midi out.
There is a plugin called MidiO set you can use to send the Midi of one track out to a Midi instrument.

My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. It was working fine now I cant get it to output to the Tv. Any ideas?

Since you say that the same connectors work on your other TV is suggests that the fault is not in the connectors but your Vizio TV. I would check the settings on the Vizio TV. Verify that is is set to receive HDMI input. Perhaps you or some one else has inadvertently changed them. Pressing the wrong buttons on a remote control device can do that. (I am assuming no changes were made in SYSTEM PREFERENCES>DISPLAYS)

Does anyone know why i cant get two monitors working on one pc?
I have a HP P6 2000 UKM computer, running windows 7 and it has a DVI D socket as well as the standard VGA (which i am using for my primary monitor) I have got the right DVI to VGA adaptor and have followed various instructions to set up duel disply but every tutorial i have seen says use the multiple display option, but the option dropdown box is not there!
Iv'e tried two different monitors but he same problem. If my graphics card does not suport 2 monitors then why is there a DVI D socket?
Have never had this problem in the past!

Please post the exact HP product number for your PC.
VGA is analog and DVI-D is digital. If you have two monitors then one of them needs to support a digital video signal if you want to use two monitors

Struggling to get a signal from my Midi Keyboard

I have Logic Pro X and a couple of weeks ago managed to successfully connect up by Korg Workstation to act as a Midi Keyboard so that I could access the library and play the sounds in real time through the keyboard. I have just moved my studio to a new room and tried reconnecting and I am just not getting things to work at all now.
My method has been go into my Midi set up for my Mac and connect by Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 interface . I have tested the connections and the Korg is speaking just fine to the interface. I saw a video on Youtube where in Logic X it is possible now to access the external instrument via a Software Instrument Track instead of an External Midi track + Audio ( as it used to be) . When I do that and replace the default electric piano with an External Instrument it finds the Korg just fine. I have collaged the various windows below. This is what I did last time and it was successful.
I have the record button primed but am getting no signal - not a flicker of life on the I am no doubt doing something really basic but I cant figure out what to do and its very frustrating that I have had this working just a week or so ago. Help!

The problem is most likely with your router. Follow the instructions in the router's manual to reset it. Also what security are you using? If it's WEP upgrade to WPA. The iPod sometimes has trouble with WEP "protected" routers. I put "protected" in quotation marks because WEP security is essentially useless. It can be hacked in less that 30 seconds.

Cant get Rear Speakers working...

Well... I got soundblaster audigy ...and Front left and front right is working... but i cant get the rears to work... I got the output of the amp.. into black hole of the sound card... was there anymore i was supposed to do.. e.g setup ?... thanks in advance

Do you mean Amp-->black jack or black jack -> amp (i.e. which way do you want the signal go: PC-->amp or amp-->PC?)? If the latter then just connect the amp output into line-in of soundcard.
Normally, if you want to playback (stereo) audio from PC through external amp, your settings for Audigy are:
- speakers set to 4/4.
- CMSS ON, Stereo Surround
(- try also different device driver modes in your playback software (DirectSound, MME, WDM, etc.))
If you're using nati've ASIO capable player as like NI BeatPort Player, you just set the speaker mode to 4/4. and set the software output through Rear L/R.
