Cant get a stable orthos large FFT run

Ive had this stick of ram(OCZ Gold XTC 1024MB PC6400)running in my other computer (dell C521) since i bought it...the otherday i decided to put it in my MSI board...i had been using 667valueram before this in it and it was really holding back my overclock
after switching ram Ive been able to improve my overclock alot but here's were i sit now...
Ive been overclocking in the range of 315-400FSB with x8,x9 multi keeping my CPU clock around the 3000MHz-3400MHz area
I'm having no issues booting to windows or running orthos small FFT at many many diffrent clocks,but no matter what i do i cant get more than 3-8 Min's on large FFT
Ive tryed voltage from 1.8-1.9....Ive also tryed diff DRAM:FSB ratios with many of my clocks....so I have a feeling this has to do with the timings im using for my ram,as changing them is the only thing making really any changes to any of my results...Ive tryed 5-5-5-15/5-5-5-12/4-4-4-15/4-4-4-12 all with 23-4-6-5-5 for remainding settings with a few diff clocks but again no luck with orthos large FFT
my goal is to get my system stable(24hrs orthos priority:10 large FFT)around 370FSB x8 @2960MHz.....I want to see how high i can get the FSB with this setup
i am NOT worried about overclocking my RAM right now so if i can get it stable around 800MHz ill be happy...but if I need to overclock them then i will do so (its actually the only thing i haven't tryed yet)
anything any1 can think of??? I'm going nuts

Cant get 8.1.7 installer to run on new Win2000 server

I can't get the 8.1.7 installer to work on a brand new windows 2000 server. The automatic run starts for the CD, but when I click on Install, nothing happens. If I try to run the setup from the CD from the command line I do not get any error messages. I also do not see any logfile. This CD does work on other windows machines, so it isn't a problem with the CD.
I did create the group ORA_DBA and gave the Oracle user which has admin rights, membership to this group.
What else can I be missing for the installer not to work? The 9i installer does work though.

If you have Pentium IV do following: find file symcjit.dll file in the oracle installation folder and rename it to symcjit.old.
try to run setup.exe located in the install/win32 folder.

somehow I cant get my Zalman Trimon Monitor to run on my new Mac book pro (2012, Retina). Neither on my new mac book (with thunderbold) nore with the 2010 Mac book pro 13 inch from my girlfriend both running Mountain Lion, would it work. The monitor definitly works (tried with my old mac book) and this is already the second adapter I use, since I thought maybe the adapter doesnt work!

P35 Platinum e6750 oc cant get stable past 3.2gig

So I have been beating my brain for the past month trying to get my system to a stable,(Prime95 blend test for 10 hours), oc of 3.4 gig. Currently at bios 1.7. Every attempt I make becomes unstable during large fft at 3.3 gig. I was noticing the instability would occur at fsb 413. Memory was loosened up and memtested fine. To test if it was the fsb, I jacked it up to 457, and set the multiplier to 7, leaving the proc at 3.2 gig, memory still loose. This setup passed the Prime95 test for 10 hours. This tells me that the chip is simply met its limit at 3.2 gig. I have tried my vcore up to 1.5, which translates to 1.45-1.46 after vdroop. I am checking my temps with coretemp and the current speedfan beta, both show my temps never going above 50c while stressing.
The question I have, is there a bios version best used with core 2 duo's. I don't know if the later bios are aimed toward wolfdales, or quads. I just have a real hard time believing that this chip hit its limit at 3.2 with the temps that low. I would have stuck with a stock heatsink if I knew that.

Try raising FSB VTT step by step and see if you can lower Vcore, makes less heat and thus a longer lifespan for your cpu
Also 1.7V on SB is a lot, i've got mine at stock 1.5V, look at my sig for my settings on oc, I know it's a different chipset, but who knows.
With current Vcore, 1,5V, cpu wont last as long as normal, cause it's the max voltage, if Im correct
Edit: it's not just bumping Vcore up to a certain point but the other things needs tweaking too and not only upping.
It took me 8 days, 12~16hrs a day to get where I am now.
It's trial and error.
Dont lock your multiplier from your cpu, your cpu will constantly be running at same speed and thus will be using the same power all day long and the temps will be higher.
I speak out of experience
And EIST and C1E can save you quite a few bucks a year

There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.

I downloaded firefox,i cant get it to open, yet when i tried to delete it, windows explorer says firefox is running, even though i have no internet on

which infers the problem exists and seems to confirm the only way is to restart the machine.
Not being computer literate I cannot tell whether or not you can get around the 'lock/unlock' problem! What I need is an easy 'fix' but there does not appear to be one!!

I've changed my "My Music" folder and now I cant get iTunes to run!

Ok, Maybe some has a fix for this - I am running Vista and I have moved my "My Music" folder from its original location to its own dedicated hard drive (F:). Now when I install and try to run any iTunes version I get the error "The folder iTunes cannot be found or created and is required. The Default location for this folder is inside the "Music" Folder." I have even gone so far as to create a Music folder under Users\"current user"\ . Does anyone have a workaround or fix to this - I will have to take this computer back if I cant get Itunes to work on it.

IF you are able to get iTunes open you need to go into preferences and change the location of your music directory (Under Advanced) If you are unable to access iTunes you need to recreate the iTunes folder under my music... open up the directory on your F drive and copy the XML document. Place it into the iTunes directory under my music. Open that file up in an HTML editor and change the location of your files in the line that looks like this...
file://localhost/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/*You're Name*/My%20Documents/My%20Music/iTunes/iTunes%20Music/
Change the C: to the F: and update the rest of the path to point to the right directory. I hope this helps!

Restart your MBP holding the trackpad down and hopefully the disk will be ejected. Then try to return it and get a refund or put it in the trash. There is nothing that software does for your MBP that you cannot do yourself or with free software.
If can get your MBP started, delete all traces of the offending software. Worst case is that you may have to erase the HDD and reload the OS and your user data. I trust that you have a backup (minus MacTuneUp).
