Cant get Apple Mobile Device to start since recent update

In my contol panel servies its already set to automatic and start is the only option it will allow me to do and when i do that it says the AMD serivce on local computer started and stopped, some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other programs.

"The apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped. some sevices stop automatically if they have no work to do for example the performance logs and alerts service."
Although the following document is usually a better bet with a 1067 error when starting AMDS, it might also be worth a try with your one:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

    Hey CarleneS,
First, I would try the steps in here:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes, make sure you follow all of the steps in this link:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
This section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

itunes wont install, runtime error R6034 also 'apple mobile device' wont start! help!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • When trying to connect to itunes i get an error saying apple mobile device not started. what does this mean

i try and plug my phone into itunes and it comes up with an error saying this iphone cannot be used because apple mobile device has not started! what does that mean?

  • Can't install new itunes upgrade on Windows 7.  Keep getting Apple Mobile Device Service timed out

Ever since the new upgrade of iTunes came out I can no longer open iTunes.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times to no avail.  I keep getting  the Apple Mobile Device Service warning that it timed out.  I go into Services and I can't start the mobile device there either.  I have followed every suggestion online and still can't get it to work.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

  • Cant install apple mobile device windows7

    Hi everybody,
I have a problem with my itunes. First it started with not recognizing my iphone.
So I looked up how to solve this problem. So I uninstalled everything like it was described on apple support.
    Well, what happened next?
I tunes was installed "succesfully" but then when I put the iphone on usb it said, you installed the wrong version of itunes, install the version for 64 bla bla
kind of confused, I reinstalled it again and tried it again and again...
Then I read somewhere that maybe I should turn off my antivir program, I did. No change.
So I had some problems with my windows 7 while installing some silly updates..
Oh, and the last time I tried to install itunes, it stopped to install and said,
apple mobile device cant be installed bla bla, then itunes stops to install and thats it.
    So,
I hope somebody experienced the same problem and can tell me how to solve it?
Because now I m thinking of getting out of this apple circle, because this costed me hours and hours of my
    precious time. :-)
And please dont tell me to uninstall itunes, because at the moment I just cant install it anymore !
Thank you in advance for your help,
    sincerely,
    desperate
    Diana

okay, I tried it again, and made a screenshot,
so, I would have the option to use the button ignore, but then its not going to recognize my iphone. Its in German, but it says that apple mobile device can t be started. and I should figure out if I have the rights to start the services. Ridicule.
