Cant get battery status anymore
For a week now I cant see my battery status anymore. I'm not sure if it was an upgrade or a pacman -Syu that caused it. I cant even open the adesklet systemmonitor, gkrellm shows no info and the battery in e17 has no info. When I do modprobe this is the output:
# modprobe battery
FATAL: Module battery not found.
I have a ECS Green 553 laptop.
A related issue:
I have powersave, but powersave -s just gives me "unknown reply code to 'BatteryState' reques". This appears as a bug and a fix was issued for debian 24 may it seems. What about arch?
Found it out. I have to boot with the battery in.. I thought udev or something would detect that there was a battery inserted ?? How can I load it if I didnt have it in when I booted?

Cant get the status light green
i cant get the status light to turn green, and so one of the computers i'm trying to connect to it wont connect all the time, it randomly connects when i restart a couple times, but i cant find the reason why...

Power manager doesn't get battery status upgrade. Embedded Compact 7
Hello everybody!
We are using custom Freescale MX53 based board.
We are using FAKE battery driver as our battery driver base.
Driver succesfully built and loaded by wec7 (linked with battdrvr_mdd.lib) and I see debug messages when toggling battery.
But power manager applet knows nothing about my battery status.
Here are functions we've implemented:
BatteryPDDGetStatus
BatteryPDDGetLevels
BatteryPDDSupportsChangeNotification
And in our charger interrupt handle thread we've got:
LOCKBATTERY();
BatteryAPIGetSystemPowerStatusEx2(&gBatteryContext.st, sizeof(gBatteryContext.st), TRUE);
UNLOCKBATTERY();
PowerPolicyNotify(PPN_POWERCHANGE, 0);
We see in debug that
BatteryAPIGetSystemPowerStatusEx2
calling
BatteryPDDGetStatus(PSYSTEM_POWER_STATUS_EX2 pstatus, PBOOL pfBatteriesChangedSinceLastCall)
But nothing changing in power manager. It always shows that power supply connected and battery is charging. Even if
pstatus->ACLineStatus = AC_LINE_ONLINE;
pstatus->BatteryFlag = BATTERY_FLAG_NO_BATTERY;
//or
pstatus->ACLineStatus = AC_LINE_OFFLINE;

Don't know why but can't get GetSystemPowerStatusEx2 from test app. It returns general error(31). And not calling my
BatteryPDDGetStatus
Where can be the problem?Are you sure you have the battery driver added from the catalog to the OS design?
It is under Core OS Services->Battery Driver.
Also you have to have the BSP battery driver added.

Is their a way to restrict gamecenter on ipad so you cant use it
BUt it will not disable it totally. Apple took that away with iOS6. There is no way to totally disable Game Center beyond only purchasing non- Game Center games.
And I've even found that some games will not honor you signing out. For example Angry Birds Seasons will log me back into Game Center, even if I log out, even if I disable the account in the game, the next time the game starts back up it signs me back in. -

Change it as explained here under "Edit or change your Apple ID and primary email address": http://support.apple.com/kb/he68. Before doing so, turn off Find My iDevice and provide your password. Then, after changing the ID, save your photo stream photos to your camera roll, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud). Then sign back in with your changed ID.

boughtn iphone5s second hand; the previous owner took their icloud acct off phone i put mine on, last night my phone crashed and now it wont let me restore or do anything says i need apple password from previous owner whobi cant get ahold of anymore, anyone know how to bypass this or am i screwed

Not completely. Apparently it was still signed into their iCloud account with Find My iPhone enabled or you would not get the prompt. There is no way to bypass it. That is the whole point of it's design. It is a theft deterrent.
Feel free to contact Apple although I highly doubt they will help you bypass the theft deterrent that they put in place. Apple Support Numbers -
My Ipad 2 keeps rebooting and it doesn't update the battery status anymore.

I had this problem for quiet sometime now, and I would really appreciate your help. THANKSI did try restoring the ipad a couple of times and it didn't do the trick. I also tried updating the firmware.
The only thing that worked for a while when the ipad - on it's own - rebooted itself into a black screen with white text and automatically fixed the issue. It worked perfectly for a couple of months but it came back after I forgot to charge the ipad , does anyone know how I can force the ipad into that screen again ? -
Cant login to itunes anymore with any of my iphones. I have 3. Now I get an error with the following for any phone I try: Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect. I have 2 separate Apple Id Accounts for each phone, both get the same error.
My password is correct and so is my apple id. Nothing has changed since I first set it up a long time ago. Worked fine in October.
Anyone have a clue what to do?

After updating my iphone 5s to IOS 8.0.2, I cant get internet on my 3g anymore. Can only get it when hooked to wifi. Tried restore, tried restart, fixed settings. Help?!?!?!?!?

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

You don't supply much info other than your machine is old, so here is some info for you to check thru.
Before doing anything you should have a back up, preferably 2, in the event something goes wrong.
You would have to start by upgrading to Snow Leopard, you would need to buy the disk for about $20 here http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Check the the requirements to see if your machine meets them.
You would then need to run the 10.6.8 v1.1 combo update to get it to 10.6.8 Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
You can then access the APP STORE and possibly upgrade to to further OSX.
You may have applications that will not be compatible with any thing past Snow Leopard, you can check those here Upgrading to 10.7 and above, don't forget Rosetta!

You may be able to upgrade to Lion or MT Lion or Yosemite, depending on your machine, from the APP STORE.

I have the same thing happening to mine. I have an iPhone 3G & I had it connected to my home wifi & it just kept saying it wasn't connected. So I forgot the network & reset my router & it still won't connect. I put in the password & it says that it is the wrong password. I went to a place in town & the wifi didn't have a password & I tried to connect, but it said it was unable to connect. I have no clue what's wrong with it.

Battery status won't hit 100% anymore
I've had my PB about a month and a half (got it new believe it or not) and recently I noticed that even though the battery status will say "charged", the percentage will not show 100% when plugged in. At first it was 99% and now it's 97%. I've calibrated my battery and try to let it run fully down every once in a while.
The battery info in profiler shows this:
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5309
Remaining Capacity (mAh): 5183
Is this normal or should I be concerned or what?
