The message function on my Ipad just quit working. I was using it while in Mexico and it just quit. I have come home and synced my Ipad with Itunes and function still does not work. How do I get this function to work again?
When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

You must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.(10.9/Mavericks is the only download avaiable now without specially calling Apple).

Thanks for responding. Since I upgraded ITUNES to IOS 6, my IPOD Touch no longer works at all. I had numerous apps, music and videos on this touch. It made me restore to factory reset and it still does not work!!! Nothing I do will work on this touch now. I have so much data on this, I don't want to loose or have to restore!

I tried to install iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows (64 bit) and it says "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-42404). I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling and it still does not work. I then restored my computer to a week ago and tried to download and install the update and this came up again.

Updated version installed and enabled, still does not work.
I have installed the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer for internet explorer 11, does not work, tried unistalling using unistall tool then reinstalling, still does not work, disabled All security software and Firewall, tried reinstalling, still does not work, made sure scripting was allowed, reinstalled, still does not work, Tried installing active X version, still does not work. Manually went into program files, deleted Abobe Flash program, reinstalled still does not work. Message was edited by: TiggerdadThis is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in. -
My iphone 4s will not connect to networks. the button is greyed out and cannot turn on. I have reset the network settings and it still does not work - any ideas?
Thank you I tried the reset again did not fix- I think I am down to calling Apple and paying for a tech - phone company says it is a software problem. I just updated to 8.1.3 - I thought the update might fix it.

Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.

My APPLE ID is NOT working properly. I am frustrated beyond belief I have tried time and time again to change my apple ID and it keeps reverting back to my original ID!! I even set up a new email to try to submit a new id and it still does not work

Enter the email address you want to use, then click Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.
Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now in the email.
When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your renamed Apple ID.
If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID.

I can no longer access Safari. It's not the phone because Apple just sent a new one and it (Safari) still does not work. I use the same computer to sync my ipodtouch5 and Safari is operable. However, Safari on my iphone is not. What is the problem?
That is the way it works. It designed to do that.
In addition to everything else you have to this other person's computer you would have to move your complete iTunes library over also. Only then will it recognize youriTouch.

Urxvt , copy/paste from openbox
Did my homework and found select -> copy middle -> paste, but it seems like urxvt have its own clipboard and openbox have another, I can't copy something from urxvt and paste it to firefox. Is there a fix for this?
