Cant get BT Sport on Sky?

Can I get a BT Sport on Sky Platform without being a sky subscription customer?
I have sky as freesat platform and had old viewing card and get all the free channels fine, I regestered the card online but on day the BT Sport the card was not activated.
I spoke to BT customer support as was also having problem getting online viewing working too (a problem with verifiying my account after having it merged so I could use BT Sport online), this has now been resolved and BT Sport online is working fine (starting working fine yesterday), after this conversation I got a new viewing card through post apparently from SKY although not sure how or why,  this card is now registerd with BT Sport as viewing card to use apparently. Did BT Sport instigate this as SKY denies sending one out?
However I am getting message that it is incorrect card for box message on have to subscibe channels and the BT sport ones, yesterday I tried the pair box with card as suggested by BT Sport help sections online, entered the info and still no inprovement. Do I need to wait bit logner for this to work?
In between times I also contacted sky about the card, and they seem know nothing the new card and it's not registered on their system.
I tried reregistered old viewing card on BT Sport but it says card not currently active and check if i have newer one.
I'm not sure what i can do next, should I wait bit longer for the paring to complete or do I need to do something else?

It came after had accounts merged, I had originally registered my old viewing card and this was mentioned in the email when started new year contract with newly merged account.
However since then the new card has been registered with BT, im not sure how this happened don't remember mentioning this new card number to anyone at BT, however may of tried registering new card online at some point, hard to remember now after all that has happened since does get confusing as was having problem of verifying me as account holder on newly formed merged account. So trying lots of things to get things working.
Thing is I can't reregister the old card with BT online now, it says its not active.
I'm not sure whether I should persue trying to get the old card reregistered or try getting this new card working, as not been SKY subscriber for over 6/7 years, never had a new card even when they said may lose channels a few years back, the old card is very old a blue one. New one is white.
For all I know neither card may not be active one (as far as sky are concerned), as you can watch freeview sky without card if you dont do any updates. I assume the card reloads channels available on it should a reset or crash occur and need to update box? Not that I'm and expert on these things
Just another thing, would I need box connected to phone line for new channels to be added?  I know it allows you to use interactive services and is required if you have subscription with multi-room, but not sure if needed for anything else, I could temporarily connect one if needed, but phone port is on opposite side of room to tv, so having permenant connection would be tricky, reason why one is not connected atm.

    I cant watch BT sport on my tv because, I have been told, my local exchange, Heysham is not capable of handling it yet. This is all very disappointing as the whole point of changing to bt broadband in the first place was for the sport channels. It's not the same watching on my phone! When will this be resolved? Does anyone know? Will it ever be? Surely someone at BT can give me an answer with a date I can look forward to. Hopefully it will be before the football and rugby seasons end.

    when i try to order bt sport i get the message that there is an open order on my account spent three hours on the phone on monday no joy,thursday up early on the phone by 8am was told dont worry i will sort it out and ring you back fat chance of that happening up early wednesday on the phone at 8am very sorry again paula very nice woman told me that she is going to sort it today or at least her colleage will i think i need to go and get another phone company after 47 years as a loyal customer moderator please help me

    i get error6030 an vco19 ive deleted silverlight and downloaded the latest one off their sight 
     ive reset the time and date 
    i use chrome but tried mozilla
    but now gone back to chrome
    still the circle goes round and loads up 100%

    Firstly can I apologise for the length of this post ,but, there are clearly many of us 'customers' who are experiencing tremendous problems accessing BT sport. I have been waiting for 21 days now to receive BT sport and have been trying to keep a log if my dealings with BT. If you have the time to read and are experiencing similar problems as me then you may find the following quite cathartic. My apologies for any spelling or grammatical errors ,but, as you can appreciate trying to use the correct Queens English when dealing with BT is quite an effort! I hope you all understand my pain - all I want to do us watch some Football on the weekend!
    I have struggled for days to get the service i require with very little contact from BT. I had services installed at my house on Wednesday 4th September, it is now the 12th September and i still do not have the services i ordered. I have phoned BT on a daily basis to find out what is happening only to be told different things by different people on a daily basis. 2 days ago i was 'promised' (yes, 'promised') that i would receive a phone call from BT to explain the situation, to my bitter disappointment this phone call was not forthcoming and instead i received a rather 'general' text saying that 'BT were still working on updating their system to reflect the correct information'. What this is meant to mean to me as a customer is beyond me. I am still a customer waiting to be given correct information as to why i havent received the services i pay for. I find it very difficult to believe that in this day of high technology that it is impossible for anyone at BT to give me an exact reason as to why my services have not been installed. I also find it incredibly difficult to understand that why, when i log into MY BT and attempt to add BT Sport to my package (which coincidentally was part of my original package order , so why i need to do this is i do not know) the website informs me that there is no BT line at my property!?!??!???! It was installed by BT Engineers a week ago! I was informed yesterday that i should get in contact with the 'Easy Access Team' in order to find out why my services are not working. I am not sure if i can actually bring myself to wait another 30 minutes for a BT call centre to answer my call as previous attempts at getting a satisfactory response from BT employees has resulted in nothing but a lack of confidence on my part in BT's ability to provide a service which they so clearly advertise as being slick and 'hassle free'. To be quite honest i am now in a situation where i severely regret moving from my old tv provider(Virgin media). The difference in price i will be paying each month will be approximatley £11 less a month with BT, however, for all of the difficult phone calls and hassle i have endured over the last week i cannot help but think i should return to Virgin who offer a service that does what it says. Having previously worked in a technological field i am fully aware that technology sometimes doesnt do as we would like it to, what i cannot fathom , however, is the total lack of communication between BT as a provider and myself as a customer. No technological issue should ever get between the respect that a customer deserves of a service provider and i am appalled by BT's lack of communication with me especially when I am dealing with a communication company. Every person that i spoke with at BT has been incredibly patient and polite ,however, their inability to assist me with my problem has left me with nothing but feelings of disappointment and an inability to have any confidence in anything that i am told by BT. I would appreciate knowing immediately what the state of my recent order is. I would like YOU as a provider to supply me with BT sport to my account and NOT for me to have try and add it to my account through the 'MY BT' website. I would like to know immediately what you are going to do with regard to some form of compensation that i feel i am entitled to (phone calls each of 30 minutes or more from Thurday 5th September to Thursday 12 September excluding Sunday 8th September. I really do hope that somebody spends some time looking into the situation i have found myself in and does something so that communication with customers is of paramount importance, i do not care if there is a major issue with my service, i would simply have appreciated some form of communication informing me of what was happening.
    Friday 13 th phone call to bt again. Ask to be put through to the easy access team and get put through to the landline technical fault department. I need to speak to someone who deals with offline queries yet I get sent from pillar to post. Bt won't even put you through to the department you know you need to access,( I was advised the day previous that I need to contact the easy access team) I had to wait 20 minutes to be put through the department I wanted when I asked at the start of of my enquiry before they would put me through - why don't bt trust what their customers are asking for.
    A rather disgruntled BT Customer.
    14th September phone call 14:48 spoke to Wayne who sorted my bt sport and hd. He also confirmed that my payment was £22 a month like the original email said. Wayne activated bBT sport which added 27£ to my account and then immediately credited 27£ to my bill to avoid any charge. Surprise surprise when Wayne tried to help he was stopped in his tracks because there was no start date for my order or Internet!!!!!! Therefore nothing could be done to my account. Wayne told me he would pass this onto the offline priority team to deal surprise surprise they only work weekdays. I have now been told I need to wait until I get a start date for my bt vision and bt broadband before I can get bt sport or add any extras.
    Spoke to bt again 25th September (1hr 20 min call) with no resolution. Got through to a nice chap who was very sympathetic to my issues, he assured me he would put me through to a department where I wouldn't be " fobbed off"( his exact words)? Got through to technical department who tried to help but who told me I hadn't activated bt sport on my account. The Employee was quite rude when I informed him that it was part of my original order and continued to tell me hat the reason I didn't have bt sport was because I hadn't activated it! He informed me that my bt sport was activated on line which is a complete lie, it was apparently turned on for me 10 days ago yet after trying everyday for the last ten days I have still not been able to access sport online or through my tv. I was kept on hold to speak to a manager who tried to get hold of the Easy Access team but, surprise surprise that team had closed for the evening. I asked for bt to contact me for once, as opposed to me as a customer wasting my valuable evening time constantly phoning and was told this was not possible ! A communication company who can't contact their customers - that has to be a joke. I eventually convinced the employee to call me back after hey had carried out some research into the problem but was told she was going on holiday and ALL of her team were going on holiday as well so the earliest I could be called would be Saturday! I feel the situation is so out of control that I am losing the will to live and am yet again seriously regretting changing my service provider. I have never known a company to have such utterly incompetent systems in place that are clearly unable to provide a service that they claim they can provide. I am utterly fed up at phoning BT only to be told they cannot help at very possible step of the way. I requested bt sport back in July, it is now September and I still don't have the service I requested and pay for. God only knows when I will receive the £60 Sainsburys voucher that was part of the bargain. Maybe it will arrive just in time for me to buy some dead flowers to put on my grave. A very annoyed, angry, upset, dispondent, sport lacking customer (sorry, I don't mean customer do I? BT haven't got a clue what that word means)

    I'm look at ordering phone, TV and infinity. The main attraction is that BT sport is free.
    I want to watch BT sport on the tele, not online using an app or otherwise.
    So this is where I get confused.
    If i enter my postcode and house number im told sport and entertainment channels are not available in my area?! If i enter my old postcode (just moved) they are available.
    So why is not available where I moved to? I'm assuming it's done 'over the air' which is why I cant get it.
    To confuse matters if I do a freeview check it shows BT sport 1 and 2 as available?!
    I've been reading around and it would appear that I require a BT Vision + box and a viewing card, instead of the youview box, is that correct? If so how do I explictly order a BT Vision + box and a viewing card. All the online ordering processes come back and tell me that I'll get the youview box, but as I undersatnd it this will not allow me to watch BT Sport on the tele.
    Can someone say for certain what I need to watch the sport channels on the television.
    My postcode is LA5 9TS.
    It's clear as mud.

    If you are ordering Infinity then there should be no reason that you can't watch BT Sport on the youview box. I put your postcode into http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/tv/packages and it has the option to order "BT Entertainment + Infinity".

    Forgive me if this has been asked before, but is it still possible to get BT Sport for free if the BT Infinity package is in my name but the Sky viewing card/subscription is in my partners name at the same address?
    Any help with this would be appreciated.

    A very interesting question. I would say yes. From discussion I have had with BT reps, in order to sign-up for BT Sport, they only need a viewing card number, no details about subscriptions are required.

  • Still Can't Get BT Sport!!

    I activated my viewing card online, but only get a black picture on Sport 1 + 2.  When I ring tech support they admit there is a problem and then  transfer me, where are I held in a queue forever and eventurally hang up!!  Thought I would try my luck on here.  By the way I am a BT broadband customer and have the old BT Vision box.

    My Story so far...
    July. Get letter from BT, phone and switch to premium sports switch over, lose my sky sport 1 but now get BT sports etc.
    Letter states ' You don't need to do anything just tune in on 1st August!'
    July. Phone BT to inform them I am moving house on the 19th of August. Taking my phone number with me. All Fine.
    August 2nd . BT sports on channels 58 and 59, blank screen? Phone BT , I need a viewing card, they set up the APP so I can watch on my laptop.
    Tuesday 6th. Viewing card does not arrive.
    Wednesday 7th. Viewing card arrives! Put it in, follow instructions, still not working. Phone BT, passed around for a few hours then get cut off!
    Thursday 8th .Phone again, speak to 3 people, customer champion Gillian finally gets the card to work,both channels on 58 and 59 work! I watch some football and tennis.
    Friday 9th .Vision box has updated overnight, now channels 58 and 59 are gone completely from the TV guide, also new channels have appeared on the TV guide 507,508,509 and on and on.(They do not work)
    Scan for channels, reset box etc etc. Still no channels.... Read the forums on the BT website.
    Checked the vision box settings: found middleware version number is now 'multicast build'
    Drive to my parents house and check their BT vision box. (they signed up for BT recently on my recommendation) They have the same deal as myself. Normal Broadband,BT sport, viewing card, stay in the same town etc. 
    Checked their vision box setting: Their version is '46.5 REV1512 Build'
    Has my vision box been updated incorrectly, which has caused my channels to disappear?
    Saturday 10th Phoned again, put on hold, had to go out so hang up.
    Sunday 11th Phoned again, explained to the tech guy about this update that maybe causing this problem, he takes it on board.... Instructed to scan for channels, re set the box again etc
    This does not do anything, as expected.
    Tech guys talks about 'updating' but has to speak to his boss
    Asks if he can phone me back. Yes, confirm he has the correct phone number, Fine.
    He does not phone back...
    Please help, I've been a customer for a few years now and this is starting to get a bit crazy

    Honestly I am very confused with how to get BT Sport. 
     - I live in Ireland
     - I have Sky +
     - I have all Sky Sports 
     - I have ESPN
     - I have Setanta 
     - I do not have any BT products (infinity etc)
    How much will BT be for me to get access and how do I order it? Also, what's the deal with ESPN and Setanta?

  • Can't get BT Sport. But can get a channel telling ...

    Increasingly starting to believe that BT has spent an awful lot of money to convince me that I'd be better off with Sky.
    As a long-standing BT customer, when BT Sport was announced I thought great.  I had a full BT package of telephone, broadband and TV, which I was reasonably happy with.  When I last went out of contract I was persuaded to upgrade to a YouView box, partly to get access to HD channels.  I'm not a massive sports fan, but I'll watch football if it's on, and I'd probably be more interested in the rugby.
    So, because I have a YouView box rather than a BT Vision box, but I can't get Infinity, no BT Sport on the telly for me.  This was despite mixed messages, including an operator who "thought" I should get it.  Could I get the app or on the web?  I tried that; but it didn't work.  When I asked the online chat support I got told they couldn't help (I kid you not). I spent fourty minutes on the phone, eventually being put through to the "exceptions" team who fixed whatever fault there was on my account.
    The web service is patchy at best. In the last few weeks our broadband has become increasingly irrational - resetting at random. So watching anything for more than five minutes it pretty impossible.
    i'd love to have Inifinity, but despite living on a new estate in the centre of a major town just outside London, we'd don't have Infiniity and no clear idea if/when it will arrive.
    No-one has been able to explain why because I have one box rather than another, I can't get BT Sport. But to add insult to injury, flicking through the channels yesterday I discovered that because I can't get BT Sport, I get a channel (57) that is a constant advert encouraging me to get BT Sport.  Talk about rubbing it your face!
    Seriously, I genuinely can not imagine Sky ever managing quite this magnitude of annoying their existing customers!

  • My macbook pro no longer connects to my TV with the mini dvi to hdmi adapter. It was working fine now I cant get it to output to the Tv. Any ideas?

    My Macbook pro no longer outputs to my vizio led tv. It was working fine now I cant get any picture. It just says no signal. It is not the hdmi or the adapter because it works fine with my other tv. Any ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks. BTW--I am using the mini dvi to hdmi adapter in case that was unclear.

    Since you say that the same connectors work on your other TV is suggests that the fault is not in the connectors but your Vizio TV.  I would check the settings on the Vizio TV.  Verify that is is set to receive HDMI input.  Perhaps you or some one else has inadvertently changed them.  Pressing the wrong buttons on a remote control device can do that.  (I am assuming no changes were made in SYSTEM PREFERENCES>DISPLAYS)

  • I cant get itunes on my new laptop.  My laptop says I have to remove itunes from another computer as I can only have it on 5.  Problem is that apart from my ipad, I no longer have the others as they were either broken beyond repair or lost.  Any ideas?

    You can only authorise the songs you purchase from the iTunes Store to play on five computers.
    You can download and install iTunes (the iTunes programme) onto as many computers as you wish.
    Two different things.
    Assuming therefore, that your problem is that you have authorised five computers, but now no longer have some of them, you need to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise the computers you still have.
    To de-authorise your computers, go to your account in the iTunes Store and look for the Deauthorise All button.

I went to get all my contacts and backup from my old phone onto my new phone and it wont let me because my new phone is only ios4 and my backup from my old phone was in ios5.  I cant get ios5 on my phone without creating a new backup of my new phone, which has nothing on it.  If i restore it as a new phone and backup virtually nothing from my new phone, will that get rid of all my old backup stuff from my old iphone?

    Bottom line is you CANNOT restore to a phone from a backup that has a more recent iOS which is what you're trying to do.  Just can't be done.

    Go to your "screen settings". then chose "find screen" then you vill find the prosjector.
    this will probably fix your problem.
    if this dont works can it be something wrong with your adapter.
