  • Can't get emails, but can send through Mail

I just got Roadrunner and I cannot get emails in the Mail program. RR says it is a Mac Mail problem. I can send emails through Mail. I do get emails through Webmail but really want to use the Mail program. It worked with my Earthlink account. I have rebuilt the account and have the settings in Mail correct. Are there other settings I need to set on the Mac?
    Thank you for any help.

No, a combination of letters and numbers. I just noticed that the email address for me on webmail is @adelphia.net, [email protected] That is not how Mail is set up nor is that the email address I was given. I was never with any Adelphia internet service. It is strange.

  • HT3228 Can get email but can't send

I set up my pop 3 account and I can receive emails but can't send them. Something simple Im sure..?.

Many times is is because the outgoing server settings are not correct.
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

  • Cant recive emails but can send

Just downloaded Mozilla thunderbird. Have been through the setup process and my account appers to have connected to the client without any error messages. The problem is I can send emails but not receive them.
I don't really know what I'm talking about but for what its worth:
I am using a IMAP mail server. port 993
I have checked in the firewall settings and there appears to be no mention at all of Mozilla thunderbird.
When I click on the inbox or "get messages" icon nothing happens, it does not appear to attempt to connect to anything
    Any help would be fantastic.

please post the account settings information included in the troubleshooting information on the help menu. (copy to clipboard and paste into a reply here on the foruim..) That way we will have some information to verify.

  • Not Getting Emails, but can send

I am not getting emails on my BB.  Last email received on my primary account was Thursday night.  I can send, but nothing is coming through.  It is an account through ATT.com, and it is also the main account I use on my personal laptop through Outlook.  I have made sure that outlook is shut down and laptop is off, but still not receiving. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

  • Can get email, but can't load web pages

I have an Airport Extreme basestation which, up until a week ago, was working fine. Now, I can send and receive email, but I can't access any web pages. When I try, it just hangs and nothing loads. Nothing has changed in setup and I haven't changed any settings anywhere. My suspision is that my ISP (Charter) changed something that my Airport is unhappy about.
I called Apple, and they told me it's Charter fault. I called Charter, and they told me it's Apple's fault.
I also called my local Apple store (not an official Apple store, but a small local reseller) and they said they've had an unusual number of people in the area reporting the same problem. Unfortunately, they don't know what could have happened.
Any idea what the problem might be or what I can check? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like it might be a DNS issue.

  • Unsecure when "Open" using web-mail

I'm using Ironport C350 with Ironport Mail Encryption server...
When a user receives a secure email using something like Yahoo! Mail on-line (mail.yahoo.com), then selects the option to "Open" the html attachment, it opens unsecure and is temp'd at the mail host, not the users PC and it's not using SSL.
Not sure where I've gone wrong.

The content of the message should be encrypted throughout the whole process until the user supplies their password and clicks on open. When they click on Open, the information is sent via https (port 443) to the secure https://res.cisco.com. Below is the url that it's using. The decrypting process occurs over the secure https port and then once it's decrypted, it gets displayed in the users browser.

  • I can get email, but can not send it.

I'm having the same problem that a lot of people are. My personal email will go to my phone, but I can not reply or send an email from my phone. I had a blackberry before and never had any problems with it. It is a POP3 email, I entered all the servers and ports, and still can get it to send. I checked with clearwire, they couldn't help. Can anyone help me fix this? If not the phone is getting returned and a new blackberry in it's place. Thanks for any and all help.
