Cant get gc() to run

Hi guys i am trying to run application.gc on disconnect of
all users.
quote:
application.onDisconnect = function(client){
trace("disconnect: " + client.name);
application.users_so.setProperty(client.name, null);
if (application.clients.length < 1){
application.gc();
applications.shutdown()
gc never seems to trigger and if i run a trace it returns
false.
Anyone

  • I've changed my "My Music" folder and now I cant get iTunes to run!

    Ok, Maybe some has a fix for this - I am running Vista and I have moved my "My Music" folder from its original location to its own dedicated hard drive (F:). Now when I install and try to run any iTunes version I get the error "The folder iTunes cannot be found or created and is required. The Default location for this folder is inside the "Music" Folder." I have even gone so far as to create a Music folder under Users\"current user"\ . Does anyone have a workaround or fix to this - I will have to take this computer back if I cant get Itunes to work on it.

    IF you are able to get iTunes open you need to go into preferences and change the location of your music directory (Under Advanced) If you are unable to access iTunes you need to recreate the iTunes folder under my music... open up the directory on your F drive and copy the XML document. Place it into the iTunes directory under my music. Open that file up in an HTML editor and change the location of your files in the line that looks like this...
    file://localhost/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/*You're Name*/My%20Documents/My%20Music/iTunes/iTunes%20Music/
    Change the C: to the F: and update the rest of the path to point to the right directory. I hope this helps!

  • I cant get rapport to run with beta7 can i get back to firefox5

    I seem to be running a "beta"version of firefox and cant get rapport to work , can I load another version.
    I have version 5 on my other machine and it seems to be ok

    Many security programs don't support alpha and beta pre-release builds of any software, only official release versions.

  • Cant get AIR to run

    I think that I have installed Adobe Air but I cant get any applications to run. When an application is started I get and Adobe AIR Liscence agreement window, to which I press agree, nothing then happens.

    Can you try having Firefox or Chrome opened while installing and launching AIR applications?  This is the temporary workaround while our developers are working on a permanent fix.  Thank you for your patience.

  • Cant get redmine to run with lighttpd under Arch

    Hi, I posted this already in the Redmine forum but I get no answer there since yesterday, so therefore I am trying here now hoping that someone gets me a hint.
    Searching the error with google finds solutions but none of them works for me (Mostly "seems you got no bundle installed", I have that).
    I am trying the whole day to get lighttpd to run with redmine, but I can not get a solution to that error.
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require': cannot load such file -- bundler/setup (LoadError)
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require'
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: from /srv/http/redmine/config/boot.rb:6:in `<top (required)>'
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require'
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:45:in `require'
    May 14 17:50:04 redmine lighttpd-angel[586]: from /srv/http/redmine/public/dispatch.fcgi:3:in `<main>'
    I searched the web for "cannot load such file -- bundler/setup (LoadError)" and I get some results but none of the solutions helped.
    I got all gems installed and the test with "ruby script/rails server webrick -e production" runs, bringing up a working redmine on localhost:3000 however lighttpd keeps crashing.
    Here the versions that I have installed
    # cd /srv/http/redmine
    # bundle install
    Using <various gems>
    Your bundle is complete!
    Gems in the groups development and test were not installed.
    Use `bundle show [gemname]` to see where a bundled gem is installed.
    # ruby --version
    ruby 2.0.0p0 (2013-02-24 revision 39474) [x86_64-linux]
    # gem --version
    2.0.0
    # rake --version
    rake, version 10.0.4
    # bundle --version
    Bundler version 1.3.5
    I am running archlinux and that's not the first webserver I set up with arch, however the first attempt with ruby and lighttpd. Testing redmine with unicorn or webrick works, the site is up, I can login as admin and create users and content, but I can not use unicorn or webrick, because I need SSL for redmine...
    I am quite lost now, how can I get the thing up?

    You didn't include the root cause of  the error - it's somewhere more up in the error log. Rerunning systemctl like this should get you better feedback.
    systemctl --full -n 100 status lighttpd
    Anyway no matter the cause it's likely not the only problem you can run into while setting up redmine - so i'll give you my entire step-by-step configuration with php that works  (Tested it all in virtualbox with latest packages) and you might figure out what you did wrong.
    Make sure you have installed the neccessary stuff - in my case following
    pacman --needed --noconfirm -S mariadb mariadb-clients subversion ruby imagemagick lighttpd php php-cgi php-fpm fcgi base-devel
    Get redmine
    [ -d /srv/http ] || mkdir -p /srv/http
    cd /srv/http
    svn co http://svn.redmine.org/redmine/branches/2.3-stable redmine
    cd redmine
    Create database access for redmine
    mysql -u root -e "CREATE DATABASE redmine CHARACTER SET utf8;"
    mysql -u root -e "CREATE USER 'redmine'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'my_password';"
    mysql -u root -e "GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON redmine.* TO 'redmine'@'localhost';"
    Copy database config and modify the desired sections of file accordingly
    cp config/database.yml.example config/database.yml
    production:
    adapter: mysql2
    database: redmine
    host: localhost
    username: redmine
    password: my_password
    encoding: utf8
    Install gems and setup redmine
    cp public/dispatch.fcgi.example public/dispatch.fcgi
    gem install bundler --no-user-install
    echo 'gem "fcgi"' > Gemfile.local
    bundle install --without development test
    rake generate_secret_token
    RAILS_ENV=production rake db:migrate
    RAILS_ENV=production REDMINE_LANG=en rake redmine:load_default_data
    Modify permissions
    mkdir -p files log tmp tmp/pdf public/plugin_assets
    chown -R http:http files log tmp public/plugin_assets
    chmod -R 755 files log tmp public/plugin_assets
    Test redmine
    ruby script/rails server webrick -e production -p 8080
    Configure your /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf - here is mine.
    Now if your redmine runs in subdirectory (like mine) fix the routes in 'config/routes.rb' by replacing
    RedmineApp::Application.routes.draw do
    root :to => 'welcome#index', :as => 'home'
    with
    Redmine::Utils::relative_url_root = '/redmine'
    RedmineApp::Application.routes.draw do
    scope ActionController::Base.relative_url_root do
    root :to => 'welcome#index', :as => 'home'
    Don't forget to add an extra 'end' to the end of file and you should be done. Start your lighttpd and visit your redmine. For futher debug check what's in the following
    systemctl --full -n 100 status lighttpd
    redmine/log/production.log
    your lighttpd error log
    Hope i helped you - so drop me a feedback
    Edit: Guess it's obvious, but make sure the user that runs lighttpd has all permissions for the folders in which you create sockets...

  • Tomcat + myFaces: Cant get it to run

    Hello!
    I try to get MyFaces and Tomcat 5.0.30 to run but only get the error message below when I point the browser to the webapp.
    We are using J2SE 1.4.2 and Windows NT. I also tried different Tomcat version.
    As a web application I tried my own one, the MyFaces sample app and a smale from the German magazin ct.
    The same apps run n JBoss (which includes a Tomcat)... strange....
    An ybody seen the same error? Any help?
    Thanks in advance...

    note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.0.30 logs.

    I had the same problem with Tomcat 5.5.17 and MyFaces 1.1.5.
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: No Factories configured for this Application. This happens if the faces-initialization does not work at all - make sure that you properly include all configuration settings necessary for a basic faces application and that all the necessary libs are included. Also check the logging output of your web application and your container for any exceptions!
    If you did that and find nothing, the mistake might be due to the fact that you use some special web-containers which do not support registering context-listeners via TLD files and a context listener is not setup in your web.xml.
    A typical config looks like this;
    <listener>
    <listener-class>org.apache.myfaces.webapp.StartupServletContextListener</listener-class>
    </listener>
         javax.faces.FactoryFinder.getFactory(FactoryFinder.java:93)
         javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet.init(FacesServlet.java:91)
    It is strange but it's true:
    The solution to this problem was removing all blanks from the home directory of tomcat. After using underlines instead of blanks the application started without problems.

  • Cant get javac to run

    new to programming, but not computers. have installed the JDK but javac will only give me a bad command message. I've permanantly set the path and other programs in the bin file will run with no error messages. I've rebooted and reinstalled and then wiped the folders and reinstalled again and still have the same problem. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    First, make sure you downloaded a JDK installation not a JRE installation.
    JRE does not contains a javac command.
    After install,
    First try javac on the command line.
    If you get bad command or file name, do the following to check,
    cd C:\<your jdk directory>\bin
    javac
    If you get the javac usage message, then it is the PATH problem, not your JDK installation problem. You need to set your PATH correctly for javac to run on anywhere else.

  • Cant' get servlet to run..please advise

    hello
    im trying to learn servlet and i just download the HelloServlet2.java example in net to try and see what i get when i execute it.I downloaded tomcat and enable it and it run successfuly.I set my classpath and the servlet example can compile successfully in my jcreator program.
    but when i execute the file,it prompt me a error in dos windows saying
    "exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:main
    press any key to continue"
    I have no idea what i did wrongly,can someone please enlighten me on how to solve the problem?
    thanks

    Oh boy. Start all the way back from square one. Servlet's do not have a main() method. You implement doPost() and doGet(), at least at a minimal level. I highly suggest you take a Servlet tutorial either here or on the Net.

  • Cant get finder to run

    Hello,
    I have a black macbook which I bought a while ago (more than a year) and in december I installed leopard. It runs great but I realized it made my computer a bit slower, when I started the computer it took an unusual amount of time for the bar at the top to appear. Anyways, today I turned on my computer and finder simply wont run. I already restarted my computer 3 times and the problem persists. I also did the control, option, esc thing to relaunch finder but that does not seem to work ether. I have also removed the battery and pressed the on button for 15 seconds. It is important to mention that I have regularly used the onyx application.
    What can I do? What is wrong with my computer?
    Thanks for any help

    Maybe using OnyX too often. It shouldn't be necessary unless you have a problem. Do you have the latest version?
    Create a new account, name it "test" and see how your Finder works in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
    Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
    If Finder works there, then log back into your problem account and go to ~(yourHome)/Library/Preferences and trash these two files:
    com.apple.finder.plist
    com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
    Then, restart.
    (You will have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.)

  • I have downloaded lightroom after a free trial and i cant get it to run. i have regitered the product?

    i hav edownloaded lightroom after a free trial and cant grt it to work?

    open lightroom and you should see a message about your trial expiring and giving you the option to purchase.  click that option and you should be given the option to enter your serial number.
    if not, uninstall your lightroom trial (using the adobe uninstaller).  then download and install lr 5.7,

  • Aperture wont start , it needs an update and is telling me to log onto a hotmail account that no longer exists so I am stuck .I would even re-purchase aperture just to get up and running again but I cant do that either - help, I need these photographs !

    Aperture wont start when I booted up this morning . There is an upgrade that it needs to install and I am being directed to log onto a hotmail account that does not exist to install it . I cant get any sense out of hotmail and the account has been deleted because I have never used it .
    I need to get into my files asap but I am just going around in circles - please help - anyone ?

    APERTURE was bought via the Apple On Line Store .
    I kew there is an update cause when I clicked on updates , there was an update that I needed cause Aperture was not running as it should  ie . it would not load
    I am running Mavericks OS.
    My Apple ID is the same as my email account but I have discovered that I have two  Apple ID accounts and I could not remember my password on the one that I used to download the original Aperture - I have since contacted Apple and they have merged the two so Ihave sorted it out that way .
    When Aperture would not start , it wasn't asking me to log onto my email account, it was asking me for my Apple ID which was the same thing but it was my emergency ID and I could not remember the password . Being enturely thick where computers are concerned , I got very confused and remain confused because having bought a new MACBOOK AIR , I find it wont recognise my back up hard drive or my AIRPORT so I am not having a great time with MAC products to be honest - cant get my business back up and running after nearly three weeks so Apple and MAC are not my favourite words !
    Anyway, I did get it sorted finally by ringing Apple but thanks for replying anyway - it turned out that Aperture was the very least of my problems  when my hard drive failed installing Mavericks - wasnt Mavericks fault, my drives have to work hard and it just died .

  • I run windows on my mac for school. went into windows and cant get back to mac. how would i get back to the mac i love

    i run windows on my mac for school. went into windows and now cant get back to the mac i love please help

    Windows on Intel Macs
    There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
    1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
    2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    3. VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
    5. VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
    Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
    You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • I downloaded firefox,i cant get it to open, yet when i tried to delete it, windows explorer says firefox is running, even though i have no internet on

    i was at a hotel using wireless, but suddenly my computer shut down, saying something about a blue screen, when i turned it back on, it wouldnt fully load the games i play on facebook, so i tried a lot of things, then i downloaded mozzilla, nothing happens when i click on it so i tried to delete it but my computer says its running and i have to close it first, but i cant cos i cant get it to open!!!!!!!

    Many thanks for responding. Your suggestion led me to this website:
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20is%20already%20running%20but%20is%20not%20responding
    which infers the problem exists and seems to confirm the only way is to restart the machine.
    Not being computer literate I cannot tell whether or not you can get around the 'lock/unlock' problem! What I need is an easy 'fix' but there does not appear to be one!!
    Thanks for trying!
    Cheers
