my new ipad 2 wont sync to itunes. i cant download itunes 10.3 on my macbook for some reaon...any help would be appreciated!

Hi. If your signature is correct and you are running 10.4.X (Tiger) you will need to upgrade to Leopard (10.5.8) or Preferably Snow Leopard (10.6.8)

GETTING STARTED WITH THE IPAD 2 BUT HAVING PROBLEMS

I just recently bought 2 ipad2's, both have been charged and I pushed the button on one and it automatically ran me through the intial process. The other shows me a picture of a usb cord pointing to an ITUNES icon but will not do anything. What do I need to do to get this started?

Sounds like you may have system sounds muted.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

How to get started with new smart iPhone?

OK, we are new to smart phones and just ordered the Verizon iPhone. We are Mac users for years. We have a few songs in iTunes, lots of photos in Aperture and a large calander of events and a large phone book on the Mac. The phones we have are essentially empty, nothing in there to keep, nothing.
What do we do to get pictures and our large list of addresses from AddressBook and other programs into the new phone when it get here?

Need Help Getting Started with New iPod

I already had an 8g iPod, however, I just purchased a 64 on Amazon ... it was new but open box. I hooked it into my computer and the only thing that shows on the screen is the power chord pointing up to iTunes.
I have reinstalled iTunes, but my system will not recognize this iPod, nor can I get to any other screens on the iPod.
Can someone please provide some direction?

I have conneted and synced my iPad to my computer iTunes, but when aseked to put in Apple ID and password, it says it is incorrect, I have tried several times and carefully making sure I put the correct one in but to no avail!

I've tried this and it jumps to the exception every time. Anyone know why ?
(I've removed most of the code. It's a bigger program. It all works except the lines relevant to the varray, which cause it to jump to the EXCEPTION clause.)

More detail please. Assuming you knew how to set up the internet connection, have you tried resetting the iPad and/or rebooting the router?

This is what I get for buying an Ipad twice in a week because of a broken screen? $500 the first buy and then another $299 plus tax for the swaped out one that I can't restore with my backup data.

I assume that you will have to set up as new since it will not let you restore from the backup. Then after you set it up, you can restore from the iCloud backup. The backup should not disappear be use you are setting this device up as new. Your backup should still be in iCloud.
However, after you activate the iPd and update the software, you will have to erase the device in order to restore from the Cloud backup, that is the only way to get to the iCloud backup.

That shows you that iPhoto is working correctly and whatever issue you are having is based in your original library.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Nothing, except "keep asking". Maybe you can return it.
In too many cases the "sellers who do not respond" stole the device.

You should be able to skip the iCloud setup process on first startup. Look around for a skip button.
If you would like the setup iCloud though, follow the following steps:
If you know the answers to your security questions

Select “Reset your password.”
Enter your Apple ID, then select Next.
Select “Answer security questions” as your authentication method. Select Next.
Select the birth date associated with your Apple ID, then select Next to begin answering your security questions.

About 6 months ago I discovered iTunes was set by default to 720p. These MUST BE CHANGED TO 1080P!!!!!!!!.......So I installed FULL 1080P file on my laptop on iTunes... When I download movies on iPhone 5s/iPad mini the file is 720p So within about 60 seconds of starting download of 1080p files into my laptop of iTunes purchases. It was at that moment that I realized it was that file my laptop has on file to sync to my Apple device...Ten minutes later when the first 1080P HD file was downloaded I must say... The resolution is amazing... I now use this same process to install movie files from iTunes.. In FULL 1080P.. Not 720P... Works on my iPad mini also... Avatar is 5.4 GB if installed over Wi-Fi... However sync with laptop and file is 6.5 GB in size... Called Apple told them... No reply yet.... You must delete 720P files from your laptop... Look for file size in any movie purchase and you will see DOWNLOAD IN 1080P.. This will open preferences in iTunes for you to the correct tab so you can change setting to 1080p from default of 720p... DELETE any downloaded movies already downloaded into laptop... You can check file quality by right click on any movie folder and the look at movie info... Will say 720p HD... Delete to recycle bin and iCloud will appear on each movie... Now download 1080P HD file... When completed. Right click any file to verify it is 1080P HD... The sync with device...... And get ready to be upset with Apple for holding back your device for the last 2 years 3 months and 16 days......And be ready to catch your jaw from hitting the floor when you see your screen in full 1080P HD.... Apple Engineer's were asleep.....
You will notice better pic quality... Apple by default is still sending the 720P file to the new iPhone 6 plus over wifi and sync.. howve this process above will give you full HD file for your Apple device...

Wifi problems with new ipad

I'm trying to learn how to correct wifi problems with new iPad. It is the wifi only, 64GB model. I want to be able to use it at work, where we have a great wifi network. I can usually connect to our network with no problem, but after an hour or so my iPad loses the network. When I try to reconnect, I see that the network is showing full strength reception, but I get the error message from the iPad that I am "Unable to join" the network. My iPhone connects to the same network seamlessly, as do all of the other iPhones of my co-workers and the older generation iPads that some of our staff has.
At other locations, I typically have no problems (home, apple store, etc.) but I have had the same situation pop up at a coffee shop where I could see that there was a wifi network available, but I could not join it even though it was the shop's free wifi.
I have tried turning the iPad off, turning off wifi and turning it back on again, and forgetting the wifi network in question. I can't think of any other methods that are available to an end user to correct the problem.
I have already gone to the Apple store to swap out the unit, and the newer one is having the same symptoms.
Can anyone offer any advice here? This is quite frustrating.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
