Cant get time iphoto pictures from my portable harddrive time machine backup
Hi
I m trying to get my photos from a Time Machine backup on a portable hard drive. When i get to the pictures folder and press it I get the "iphoto (original)" icon. When I press it I get the iphoto screen but a "Caution" box comes up that says "the iphoto library is a Time MAchine Backup and so cannot be used as the main library. Reopen iphoto with the option key held down to choose another library". You have to press "quit" to get out which takes you back to the iphoto (original) icon. I have tried opening with the option key held down but I get the same pop us caution. Can anyone help. Thanks
Time Machine does nto simply copy files - it copies changes to files and keeps track of how to reassemble the files on request for a specific time
So you NEVER access TM backups directly - you always use the Time Machine program and have it restore the backup

Verify you are using iPhoto11 ver 9.5
if not run the >Software update or check your apps folder and make sure the correct iPhoto is launched, not an older ver. -

I recommend tha tyou do not use migration assistant - it has a poor record of moving the iPhoto library successfully
Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) or use an external hard drive formed Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

Look no further help is here! Let's get those text messages going on your computer. You need to download the desktop client http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/products/verizon-messages.html to your computer to use Message +. Were you already using Message + on your phone?
What phone do you have? You mentioned the phone crashed. What issues are you having with the phone?

I have an app in my app store that is requiring an update but I never purchased the app and when I click update, another apple ID pops up that is not mine. Now i keep getting reminders to update the app and I cant get rid of it from the app store. Help.
You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
In the Finder, press the key combination command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac

A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of popup menu. Click in that box and paste (command-V).
The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -
Pictures will load to the photostream just fine, i can see them on both my ipad and iphone, but they stoped uploading to my PC 10 days ago? I can not get any new pictures from my iphone to my PC, what can i do to fix this?

(To test this, just turn your Wi-Fi off and use your Cellular network instead to send an email).
I know you have deleted/created accounts, but when adding the SMTP server is that being resolved by the iPhone okay? -

Are you using MMS to send/receive? If so:
Have you checked Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging is set to "On"?
Have you checked that your cellular carrier allows MMS and you are signed up for it (may cost extra)? -
I replaced iPod touch because of broken screen, photos were backed up to iCloud. I cannot find the older photos, only the ones taken with the replaced iPod. How do I get old iPod pictures from iCloud?

I Cant get any FREe apps from apple store after i upgrade ios7.0.4 and reset my apple id password. It says u should give your card number but i did'nt have any begor this i could get free apps but now i cant ,what should i do?

You need to export JPG copies of your adjusted photos to upload to FB.
