Cant get videos to load

Cleaned cache using ccleaner and delted too many cookies. I am running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Videos on Cnn.com show ads but no video news content. BBC games do not open. Ads and games on addictinggames.com do not appear. Happens with both IE9 and FF19.0. No problem with Youtube. Installed latest from Flash. IE9 keeps asking me to install Flash but does not recognize after flash is installed.

I am having the exact same issue - CNN.com videos will not load after the advertisments. I don't think my issue is caused by cookie deletion. I believe I started having this issue after I reset my global flash settings. I am wondering if removing the audio and video licenses caused the problem, although I didn't think I had any licenses on my computer to worry about losing.
I'm runing:
I7 MacBook Pro, Mountain Lion 10.8.2, Safari 6.0.2, Flash Plug-in version 11.6.602.171
Really hoping someone out there knows how to resolve this.

Uninstall iTunes and the iPod software updater in Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel, if any, and try installing them again. Recommend to download the latest versions from the Apple site instead of using the programs from the CD.

This is usually the result of trying to convert a "muxed" (MPEG1, MPEG2, VOB, some AVI, AVI MJPEG, etc.) source file. QT Pro, QT-like applications, and those that depend on QT tools all suffer this problem. Use an MPEG based third party application to perform your conversions. Many Windows users are using Videora Converter for this purpose. Do a Videora search in this forum for more information.

I am having the same issues with watching Netflix on my Mac. It started after I downloaded the new updates for Safari. When I try to watch a movie it tells me "plug-in failed". I have downloaded every plug that I should need and it still does not work. I know it is not Netflix because it tells me that everything is fine and it works on my Wii.

Cant get video into itunes

i Have a video i downloaded of the net and i cant even get it into itunes to put it onto my ipod!
i have a few different movies and i cant get any format into itunes!! some one please help me!!!!

It might help if you first understsand what the 5th gen IPOd can play and what it cannot. Then you'll find out that your videos will need to be converted using a combination of different software depending on your video files format.
IPod can play the following video formats:
H.264 video
File formats: .m4v, .mp4 and .mov
Video: Up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio
MPEG-4 video
File formats: .m4v, .mp4 and .mov

Cant get windows to load

I have a Pm8Pm motherboard and I cant seem to get windows to load. It will go through about half way and give me the blue screen of death. Any ideas???????

The blus port numbers are not iChat's.
This suggests you are using two devices to connect to the net. A routing modem and a separate router.
It is probably this that needs sorting.
Testing with Defcom will be a good start.

Cant get videos on ipod

i bought 2 seasons from itunes and i cant get them on my ipod. this is the first time i bought any videos from itunes. i have tried converting them for ipod and it give me an error saying :
error occurred while converting the file "Smug Alert!". An unknown error occurred (-50).
Also, when i plugged in my ipod i got an error saying:
some of the videos in your itunes library, including the viedo "Stanley's Cup", were not copied to the ipod "xxx's ipod" because they cannot be played on this ipod.
im almost positive my ipod plays videos. Also when i look at my ipod under devices on the left hand side of itunes it gives me the otion to restore my ipod to its factory settings. im not sure if i should do that. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cant get video from my panasonic camcorder to imovie

I recorded a man who spoke at my sons school for the teacher. i used a panasonic camcorder. i cant figure out how to get the video to imovie from the camera. i tried a usb cord but it didnt work. so i bought a FW cable and i still cant get it to work. i tried pc mode and playback mode. i looked in the menu i didnt see a dv out option. what should i do?

FireWire - Sure not using the accompany USB-Cable but bought a 4-pin to 6-pin (or 9-pin) FW one ?
• Test another FW-Cable very often the problem maker.
Camera
• Test Your Camera on another Mac so that DV-in still works OK
• Toggle in iMovie pref. Play-back via Camera (on <-> off some times)
• Some Cameras has a Menu where You must select DV-out to get it to work
• Camera connected to "charger" (mains adaptor) - not just on battery
• Camera set in Playback mode - NOT Recording mode
Does Your Camera work on another Mac ?
Sorry to say it is to easy to turn the 6-pin end of the FW-cable 180 deg wrong.
This is lethal to the A/D-chip in the Camera = needs an expensive repair.
(Hard to find out - else than import/export to another Mac ceased to work
everything else is OK e.g. recording and playback to TV)

• Is the dip-switches set right ?
• Set to same standard as recorded/editing e.g. NTSC 29.97fps or PAL 25fps
• Try resetting it

• Daisy Chaining most often doesn’t work (some unique cases - it’s the only way that work (some Canon Cameras ?))
Try to avoid connecting Camera <--> external HD <--> Mac but import directly to the Mac then move
the Movie project to dedicated external hard disk.
• FireWire-port - Can be re-setted by - Turn off Mac and disconnecting Mac from Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes
External device’s (hard disk’s)
• Should be FireWire as USB/USB2 performs badly and so does Airport or Net-work connected ones too.
• MUST BE - Mac OS Extended formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - DO NOT WORK for video due to 4Gb barrier.

if not then a few Mac’s has a PCM-CIA slot and there are FW-Cards that makes a FW-port this way

Only option as I get it is either
• Use another Mac to Capture material (to an external USB2 - Mac OS Extended formatted hard disk - or -
• Change to another Camera that can be used with Your Mac (no there are no miniDV tape Cameras that can)
• If Your Mac-Book has a PCM-CIA Card place - then there are FW-port-Cards and then
You can import via this - but I've not seen this on more modern Macs. My PowerBook G4

Hi Bengt W, I tried it all, but nothing worked. Your answer has been helpful insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos) to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before. Thank you. LKN 1935

Thanks for all your suggestions. What I learned is that I had a software problem. I had something called "Nikon Transfer" on my Mac that was recognizing my Canon camcorder as a still camera and was preventing iMovie from working properly. After un-installing Nikon Transfer and doing a reboot, everything worked great.
I never liked the Nikon Transfer software anyway--I guess I'll get a cheap card reader and use that to transfer photos in the future.

The problem was the external backup hard drive that is connected, you need to disconnect the external drive before the mac can see the video camera.

What I exactly did.- put camera in play mode - open guide - choose connection guide - choose comp./printer (where to transfer movie to) - select connection.- i-link (on my camera) but equal to firewire - OK - choose HDV - choose NO for conversion of i.link.
Settings are shown then (VCR HDV/DV.- HDV and i.link-conv..- OFF), press OK, OK, END.
Switch camera off. Connect firewire cable to camera & Mac. Switch camera on, in play/edit mode.
Open i-movie, choose import from camera. On screen below the camera connection is shown.- DV (HDV). Now you can import, automatically or manually.
This worked perfectly for me. Took me 2 days to find out. Could not find any clear thread explaining what I had to do on the camera and the manual was not clear either.

Cant get library to load after transfer from PC

Ok so I copied my consolodated library to my mac including the library and XML file. I get the playlists loaded, but none of my music will load. No matter how many times I load the library it will not put my music on. GRR!

How did you transfer the library and library files from your PC to the MacBook?
The song locations are stored in the 'iTunes Library(.itl) file (more info about the library files here).
If you just copied it to the MacBook, iTunes will still look for the path of each song on your PC.
There are a few ways to correctly move the library.
If you have a large capacity iPod, use the instructions in this article:
How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If you have a FAT32 formatted external HD, use these instructions:
iTunes: Moving your iTunes Music folder.
First move your library from PC to external.
Connect the drive to the MacBook and copy the 'iTunes Library(.itl)' file to the proper location on your MacBook (./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes).
Then move your music from the external drive to the MacBook.
Then there is another method by changing the paths in the 'iTunes Music Library.xml' file and using it as an import source, but this will not retain all information. I can explain it if you can't use one of the two previous methods.

Jeff, I can't get videos on my New 80g ipod classic to play on my tv. I have the AV composite cable from APPLE and all of my settings are set correctly. I have tried every thing and have even talked to Apple Customer Service. After an hour and fifteen minutes on the phone with them tring different things, they said that it must be a bad cable. I told them this is a brand new cable that was purchsed at the same time as the Ipod. Not only that but it is the second set of BOTH items in three days because I returned them both to the store after I could not get that one(the first Ipod and cable) to play on my Tv and was given a NEW Ipod and cable. This one is not working on my TV neigther. All I get is a message on the Ipod screen saying "TV OUT ENABLED please connect tv accessory". But the cable is already connected. Do you or anyone have any idea what is wrong. PLEASE HELP. Getting videos to load into iTouch

I'm praying someone can help me with this. I have a ton of .wmv files that i need to get loaded onto my iTouch. Very frustrating. If my current information is correct, apparently i need to convert the .wmv files to MPEG4 files for the videos to run properly on the iTouch. Of course all the "freeware" out there really isn't free. I purchased Quicktime Pro but that doesn't seem to handle what i need it to do. Any suggestions? I'm desperate to get these videos downloaded to my iTouch immediately or my boss is gonna squash me!! I thank you all in advance for your guidance.

[SOLVED]Cant get video drivers sorted out on openbox install

I'm using the xf86-video-ati driver with a ATI radeon 7850 and would like to avoid using the catalyst driver unless it's my last resort. I'm doing an install with lightdm and openbox. I followed that wiki which basically says to install the driver and it should autodetect my resolution with no problems. Well I've been stuck at 1024x768 for a day now.
I went through the xorg log file and was unable to figure out what exactly is wrong myself, but here it is: http://pastebin.com/E46sv47N
As far as I can tell the correct drivers loaded but the resolution was set wrong. although if I plug in an hdmi cable in place of the DVI nothing happens and I get a black screen.
I'm trying to get a 1920x1080 resolution but the closest I've gotten is what looks like 1920x1080 squished over to the right side of the screen with a large black bar to the left side. I "accomplished" that by executing the following:
