Cant install windows 8 on macbook pro 13 inch mid2010 Mountain lion 10.8.3. When i insert the windows 8 CD and try to install it on bootcamp Version 5.0.2 it say "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac, Boot Camp only supports installing Windows 7 on this Mac. Please insert a DVD which contains a full version of Windows 7." i saw other topics using same mac and they installed it.
Please need help

Cant hear anything HELP!

I have a 4G nano pod for the last 6 months but i did not use it for the last 3 months. Now I had trouble charging it - folder and exclamation point so i restored it back to its original factory settings. I later uploaded a playlist but I cant hear anything. I tested my ear phones and they are fine. What am I doing wrong?

I tried restoring my nano today and this is what happens - i cant figure out if its normal or not. 1) I run the latest update, hit restore and the apple logo with the progress bar appears 2)The restore process seems to have been completed. but instead of # After the restore is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time# i see a Do Not Disconnect sign although I am pretty sure I dont need to charge the nano again. I have done so for the past 3 days. This sign lingers on..........
What are my options?

Do you have Windows installed?
No? Then it can't be running in DOS. (Disk Operating System)
Mac's run BSD Unix, not DOS. however single user mode looks like DOS.
If you booted the Mac holding the command and s keys, that's single user mode, which is the root level command line.
type exit or reboot or restart (one of those should work) and press enter, then reboot normally or load OS X.
If it's always entering this enviroment, then something is set on it to do that.
It's possible to set the machine to display this mode upon boot, but once OS X is loaded it should disappear.

You've given us little to go on , but have you spent some time looking at the Sound Panel within System Preferences and the preference settings for each program? I would assume that all of these combination of settings should be in the default mode, however, something may have become jumbled and reset to those original defaults.
If you have Applecare (doesn't everyone?), and continue to have a problem after further attempts to fix, give them a call and let them trouble shoot with you for a while. I do it all the time and it's actually fun and can also be a learning experience.

    Click the "Trackpad options" button.
    Set Double Click Speed at a slower speed.

Run an Apple Hardware Test using the original installation disk that has the AHT instructions on it.
Try SMC and PRAM resets:

Hi Dan,
The the Connection Doctor from the Video menu in the menu bar says that the other end is sending Audio (Green bar) then you need to go to iChat > Preferences > Video Section and make sure you have chosen the right output device.
Also Check it matches the one in System Preferences > Sound > Output.

Thanks for your reply. Unfurtunately is didnt work. I did follow the part with reseting Isync and so on... But it still doent sync my Iphone info to the Icalender. The problem is that if I reset/restore my Iphone
I´ll loose a lot of important appointments and phone numbers. Can I restore it and the use the backup from Itunes - and will this fix the problem?
