  • Pantech Jet II, I cant hear any one and they cant hear me but the call rings.

after hiking, I now cannot  hear any one and they cant hear me but they can ring my phone and I pick up and nothing and they cant hear me either. what Happened  ?  I did a Factory Reset and still the same problem.    I can txt message in and out just fine.

So what have you done to troubleshoot?  Have you searched this forum for similar problems?  Have you taken the basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide?  Have you looked to the right in the "More Like This" box?
    What exactly HAVE you done?

I can hear the caller, but they cannot hear me when I use the speaker function on my iPhone4.  Are there any fixes?

Basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  Try each of these steps until your problem is solved. If these steps fail to solve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple (or an authorized service provider in your area) for evaluation.

  • Software help , when calling people they can hear me but i cant hear them

basically i jail broke my iphone and then i updated it to 5.0.1 and it worked fine when jail broken and abit afterwards but then i discovered that i could call people and hear them but they couldnt hear me, and signal dies in the shop i brought it from ( tesco) and they had a boosted signal zone also he tried a new sim and its the same , also how do i get an appointment with the apple store in west quay? and then i updated it again tyo 5.1.1
i know its because i jail broke it but i need to know how to fix it , plus the home button is slowly not working , how do i fix that also?

If there's no obstruction in front of the headphone speaker and the volume is pumped up to max, the component may be kaput. So yeah, a trip to the Store will be inevitable.
My boss got an i5 in mid--Jan.  Not a week later, her callers started complaining they couldn't hear her. She eventually ended up in the carrier's customer center (no Apple Stores over here), where they gave her a new-from-the-box replacement, no questions asked. You may get lucky too.

  • Cant hear the callers and they cant hear me

Iphone 4s i cant hear anything when i recive a call and the caller cant hear me. And i can push end call, but the call is still there even though the call is ended. What to do?

There is a huge thread about this and similar issues with incoming and outgoing calls best advice is go make them exchange the phone. That's what I finally did and have had no problems with the replacement. Big debate ant if it's hardware or software but frankly I  don't care whichis is. Other way I expect the phone to work and f it doesn't I expect them to replace with one that does!

  • When using Skype on my Pavilion, I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me.

Skype support can't figure out why this is happening. It has to be an easy fix, but I'm lost.

  • I can hear caller but they cant hear me

    Hi
When I receive a call on my iphone 4s i can hear the caller but they cant hear me.
When I call the caller back there are no problems.

i dont want to use the earphone with a mic though, i want to be able to receive and to make calls without the earphone with a mic. but my problem is, there is no sound at all coming from the speakers that you put near your ear when your calling

  • I have no sound when making a call, and they can,t hear me either on my iphone 5 64gb -ios 8.02

    my iphone 5 64gb on IOS 8.02
when I make a call I cannot hear a thing and they cannot hear me either even tried through headphones and through Bluetooth headset, not a sound
but the music is fine, any ideas

    hi brian
thanks for your reply, I have checked what you mentioned, I tried facetime today on call and video and they work fine, I,m puzzled?

  • Temporarily can't hear caller during a call, but they CAN hear me.

During a call I temporarily can't hear the caller but they CAN hear me. The sound on my end is completely dead. After 20-30 seconds the sound usually comes back. My AT&T bars are all filled up so it's not because I'm in a bad cell or coverage area. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm calling someone on their home or land line or on their cell, or if I'm calling from inside my home or when I'm out.
I called tech support a couple times and their last suggestion was that the cover I have might be interferring with the sensors in the phone somehow. The speakers are all uncovered though. I have the iSkin for the iPhone, which I really like.
I have updated my iPhone software to 2.1 and I've completely restored my phone back to the original manufacturer's settings but so far it hasn't helped. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if you think the case may be the cause of the problem.
I have an appointment to bring my iPhone in to an Apple Store but thought I'd post this before going.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be great.
    Thank you.

I had the same problem and it was the thin film skin I had on the screen. There are sensors in the black area of the screen by the speaker which are affected by the plastic cover. I dropped the phone about a foot and shattered the screen the first week and decided the loss of the sensor was better than paying apple another $300 for a rebuilt phone.

    Hey shahbazfromgbr,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are having issues with sound output on your iPhone 4S. For troubleshooting steps, the following article provides the best information:
iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1630
    1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
    2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
    3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
    4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
    5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
    6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
    7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
    8. If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
    9. Restart the iPhone.
    10. If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
    11. If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

Apple Store Genius makes all decisions regarding implementation of Warranty Coverage. Maybe you have AppleCare coverage and don't even know. If the Genius decides to cover under Warranty then it was worth taking to Apple. If Genius decides no Warranty, then replacement iPhone 4 is $149.

  • When I make a call I can hear the person I call but they cant hear me. But when I put my phone onto loud speaker they can hear me then ?

Hi I have recently had a problem with my Iphone 5. When I make a call to someone I can hear them fine but they cant hear me unless I turn it to loud speaker then they can hear me, I can still talk to siri and on face time but not for a normal call. What would be making this happen ???

    Hi Kel134,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are having microphone issues on your iPhone when you place a call to someone and they cannot hear you unless you activate the speaker function. In this situation I would recommend the steps in the following article to help isolate and resolve the situation.
    iPhone: Microphone issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5183
    Resolve the issue
Follow these steps, testing after each.
Make sure nothing is plugged in to the jack connector.
Make sure nothing is blocking any of the microphones (refer to the pictures below to find your device's microphones). Check for these:
    Dirt or debris
    A screen protector or case
When you're holding your phone next to your ear, make sure you don't block the microphone with your fingers or shoulder and make sure to speak into the microphone
Turn the iPhone off and then on.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
If necessary, find general iPhone hardware troubleshooting suggestions.
For further assistance, contact Apple Support.
    I hope this helps,

  • My iPhone 3G can make calls and i can hear them but they cant hear me......

I just got my iPhone 3G yesterday and when I make calls, that person can talk to me and I can hear them, but when I talk they cant hear me. It has nothing to do with the mute button though. But if I use the headset or a bluetooth device I can talk to that person. How can I Use the phone itself without a headset or bluetooth. HELP ME PLEASEEEE!

Sorry to bump a really old thread, I'm a bit behind the times considering I just got my iPhone on Monday so please excuse...
I'm having the same exact problem with my new iPhone but I bought mine at an AT&T store, can I still take it to the Genius bar to be replaced?
I dread going to the AT&T store like no other, but all of the LA and OC area Apple stores had been out of the 8g iPhone for days and I couldn't wait any longer to get one. I'm hoping this doesn't mean I have to take it there...
    Thanks in advance

  • When making calls why they cant hear me but i can hear them?

When making calls why they cant hear me but i can hear them?

good question. try to record a voice memo on your phone. if you can't hear yourself, it means likely that your mic isn't working, which would explain why no one can hear you on the phone
