Cant install CS5, its written: update failed, this patch is not applicable for u.
I have downloaded CS5 on Mac and faced some problems installing it. I totally don't know what to do, have read that i should have installed Java.Did it. Still nothing. Does anybody know what should i do?
1. CS5is very old. There have been three new versions since then.
2. CS5 is finished. You cannot buy it. So to download it now as a new customer is useless.
3. That is an update, for existing customers with the software already, not the hole thing. So the message is right.
If you let us know what you want to do, and why you wanted CS5 we may be able to help you find what you need.

I can't open After Effects CS6 in OS 10.10.1.
Adobe says to download the update.
The update says: Update Failed: This patch is not available to you.I can't add an update from the Help menu if I can't open the App.
Blah.I think it was CC 13.2 ? Or similar. I was following the directions of what it said I should do,
as others couldn’t open After Effects when they upgraded their OS X.
However I went to Adobe and am now downloading what seems to be free versions.
All I wanted to use After Effects for, was to touch up super-8 film that I was editing in FCP.
However I discovered that I can do it in Photoshop, so I’m trying that.
But maybe this download will work.. -

I tried to install Photoshop_CS6_13_0_5_upd.dmg and got:

I bought Photoshop CS6 as a download directly from Adobe, installed Photoshop_CS6_13_0_1_upd.dmg without problems, and then activated Photoshop with offline activation on a computer not connected to the Internet. When I try to update I get these log messages:

Basically, all you have to do is update the Application Manager (if your installation was like mine, I was still on v.6... it's up to v.9 now. Go here for the update: Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Macintosh : Adobe Application Manager and run it... when done, launch Photoshop and check for updates.
This is amazingly idiotic, I must add -- how does App Manager NOT update itself through the update process??? -

How to resolve error message "This patch is not applicable for you" on updating to v31/32?
I’m attempting to update InDesign CS6 DPS v29 to v31/32 without any joy. Updates under the Help menu doesn’t acknowledge that the update is required and both installers give the error message above.
Thanks for that Bob. I've got quite a few training courses lined up so might wait until I've got them out of the way before doing so. Will this definitely resolve it do you know?

When trying to update using the DPS Desktop Tools released 11-08-2012 I get an error that says that the update failed and that "this patch is not applicable to you." Meanwhile, I can't use my Folio Builder panel in ID CS6, which is currently up to date. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -
Adobe Application Manager says Update Failed and the patch is not applicable for me. PLEASE HELP!
As the title said, that's my dilemma. I have the OS X Yosemite update (worst mistake of my life) on the iMac. Photoshop CS6 was acting much slower and crashed a couple of times, so I tried to update it. However the Adobe Application Manager was uncooperative and said that the update failed. If there are any other things you need to know in order to fix the problem, tell me. Just please, please HELP ME.

I am attempting installation of newly purchased CS5 Design Premium. My system will not support InDesign so I unchecked that before attempting install. I ran install under normal and safe boot and the following messages occur in each..
Exit Code: 7......0 fatal error(s), 65 error(s), 124 warning(s)
WARNING: DW036: Payload cannot be installed due to dependent operation failure, and so on...
and the first of the errors....
ERROR: Updating driver data failed. Driver entry was not added. ARP estimated size 3726KB
ERROR: DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:
ERROR: DW050: - Adobe WinSoft Linguistics Plugin CS5: Install failed
ERROR: DW050: - Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS5: Install failed

and so on, stating all installations had failed.
My file system is Journaled HFS+ , (is this case-insensitive??) with 30 GB free. I am running a 32bit MacBook with OSX 10.6.8 I have been on with tech support where I purchased the CS5 design premium. I have 1GB RAM, I was told by them that I need 2GB, the box system requirements state it needs 1GB and the read me file says I need 500MB.
Is this something that would prevent my install and cause these install errors under exit code 7? The warning pertaining to dependent operation failure seems too generic to help at all. I have been trying to get this program up and running for a week and my work is piling up, please help or advise. My head is spinning!
Note: Please keep in mind that I am new to Mac OS. I always been stuck with a Windows PC until recently. Therefore some things are difficult for me to grasp at this point.

This is the error I got when I tried to update my Macbook from OSX 10.5.6 to 10.5.7.
I downloaded this file (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL826)
A quick Google search suggested I get this one instead (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL827) The "Combo" update.
Well, the 10.5.7 Combo Installer didn't help either.
My friend suggested I try 10.5.8
Same error message again.
I really need to get at least 10.5.7 for software ASAP. I plan on getting Snow Leopard next month or so, but I really need at least 10.5.7 in the meantime. Any ideas?Some things I've tried:
- I ran a Verify Disk in Disk Utility, and it said there are no problems.
- Update Logs haven't shown any errors, nor has my computer ever tried to download the update and failed, according to the log.
- I tried checking updates on a different account, no luck there.
So far, that's all I've tried. Some of the other solutions seem more drastic, and so I'll leave those up to the skilled Tech Support guys on my campus, I've got an appointment tomorrow. -

I had to reinstall Win 7 and PS CS5, and the updates fail even when opened using 'run-as-admin'. Why?If you are using Help 》updates, it is outdated. You can however go to Product Updates on the Adobe.com website and download your updates there. I am not at my desk b<t when I get back, I'll get the links unless someone else can do that sooner.

This is the message I get when I click on the hard drive I wan to install it on, I have two hard drives, neither want to work with it. the one with the osx 10.5 has 63 gb left and the empty one has 102gb left. You need to copy all the installer disc to the desktop, Folder by folder. for example, Copy the contents of Payloads folder on Disc 2 to payloads folder of Disc 1, Extension to extensions, etc
Then you will see the setup.app file on the Folder that you created on the desktop.
Run that and check. -
