Cant install windows 8 on macbook pro 13 inch mid2010 Mountain lion 10.8.3. When i insert the windows 8 CD and try to install it on bootcamp Version 5.0.2 it say "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac, Boot Camp only supports installing Windows 7 on this Mac. Please insert a DVD which contains a full version of Windows 7." i saw other topics using same mac and they installed it.
Please need help

I bought a new macbook pro retina. it doesnt have an optical drive. i purchased the adobe photoshop elements 9 but cant install it now. can i download it from the adobe website and how do i do that. thanks

Error when attempting to install download assistant

I have made several attempts to install the download assistant onto my Macbook Pro. I keep getting an error message that says that the file is damaged and to download a new file from the author.
I've tried that, but am still getting the error. I've seen that others have had the same problem while searching the forum, so if anyone could please help it'd be appreciated.

I receive the same error message. It says: The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
And when I try to download it again it keeps saying the same error message.

Problem installing Download Assistant

I'm trying to download Acrobat X1 Pro. But first:
The Download Assistant downloads. I try to open and install it, but can't. Nothing happens, no error message, nothing. I then uninstalled a previous version of DA, but still cannot open or install the Assistant. Tried rebooting computer and starting whole process over, no help.
Any ideas?

Hi.
I'm not able to install Adobe Download Assistant inSwedish.
Error message:
"Det går inte att installera programmet på grund av ett certifikatproblem. Certifikatet matchar inte certifikatet för det installerade programmet, har inte stöd för programuppgraderingar eller är ogiltigt. Kontakta den som skrivit programmet."

Cant install all fo dvd studio pro....plz help

I cant install the full program only the windows, but none of the templates or transitions ro anything, I cant do anything in the program. When i go to install the templates it says i dont have the required hardware or my computer doesnt soppurt the installation method. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks in advance.

Since you meet the spec I'd think about something regarding the OS.
check for updates; in particular I think there was a firmware update.
Fix Disk Permissions-good habit
Move the DVDSp plist to the desktop, restart DVDSP (from the application, not a project).
check the Library/Application Support/DVDSP folder. This is where the templates need to reside. If they are there then DVDSP, the application, has lost this information. If they are not there then the install process has not worked completely.
Create another user on this machine with similar privilges. If this user is successful then there is some (?) bogus user prefeences. Not sure what to look for but a combination of bad preferences might be suspect.

I've tried to download the trial version of Acrobat XI pro but it's not working. The time bar is active for the download and indicates that it will take two hours. When I come back, the screen has gone back to the "install free trial here" page. I do see a file for XI Pro, but not a program.

Cant install Windows 7 on MacBook Pro running snow leopard.

I just got a shiny new Macbook Pro and i tried to install Windows 7. I partitioned the drive using Boot Camp assistant and proceeded to install Windows 7. Windows 7 Installation started and then it said it cant find device drivers for CD/DVD drives. Since my Windows 7 disk was stuck inside the drive at this point with no way to eject it, i took the Leopard installation disk and connected it through a external USB DVD drive. Then was able to browse the DVD and look at the Bootcamp drivers. But pointing the windows installer to all the directories still came up with "No device drivers found". Though, my leopard installation disc has a folder called x64 drivers etc... Any suggestions ?

• Remote Install Mac OS X, which allows MacBook Air users on your local network to install Mac OS X using a Mac OS X installation disc in your computer's optical drive. For more information, refer to the MacBook Air User's Guide.
• DVD or CD Sharing, which allows MacBook Air users on your local network to use your computer's optical drive. For more information, refer to the MacBook Air User's Guide.
If you can't find the MacBook Air User's Guide, download it from <http://www.support.apple.com/manuals>.
For more information on installing Boot Camp, restart your Mac in Mac OS X, open Boot Camp Assistant (in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder), and click Print Installation & Setup Guide.
2) You can eject without having right click by clicking desktop Computer icon which opens Windows explorer and a view of drives C:, E;(likely your cd/dvd.) if you highlight this with mouse cursor, you can Eject from column above drive icon.
Using Windows Explorer, In the Boot Camp Folder on the Leopard disk is Setup.exe Running this should install Bcamp & drivers for you.
For me autorun at leopard disk insert has 3 icons to select from; for boot camp installation is third or one on the bottom. Maybe you don't see it due to screen resolution setting.

Sounds like a compatibility issue - check to be sure that the software version you have will run with that OS. The latest version, for example, requires 10.6.7 or later and at least 2 GB of RAM and other hardware specs.

Unable to install download assistant for a trial version

I need to install a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Standard XI. It downloads the assistant but the assistant will not run or install. I am using a Wiindows Vista OS.

Our company will be purchasing an open license for adobe acrobat XI standard in less than a month but I have one user that needs it now because we had his new workstaton shipped early, therefore he only has the reader right now. I wanted to download a trial version for him until we get our license then activate the license on his trial version.
He has a windows 7 64bit machine. He needs to be able to mark up or make notes on construction drawings, add signature, etc but not able to do that with the version of adobe on his PC because it only has adobeXI reader on it.
What are my options to give him these capabilities until we receive our license?

Cant install Logic Studio on Macbook Pro

Tryin to install on my original Logic Studio on my new MacBook Pro 2.6 Intel Core I7 as an admin but it wont accept my serial number?
Have it on my Mac Pro and there was no problem to install.
Anyone knows how to resolve this problem?

Cant install downloaded PE10 on Win7 64 bit

I downloaded PE10 (trial) OK on my Internet connected Xp Machine.
But I want to run it on a Win7 64 bit machine that doesnt have any internet connection, virus detection on any gadgets or "security" stuff that might slow it down.
When I start the installation on the 64 bit machine, it says "this version of the installer does not support 64 bit and to insert Disk 2 " and "if not using disks, to download the 64 bit version."
Does this mean there are 2 different versions of PE10? or 2 different installers?
Nowhere in the download selection process is there the choice of selecting 2 versions of either installers or PE10's.
The Help says PE10 will run on either.
What is going on in Adobe land? Have I wasted 1.7gb of bandwith for nothing?

Yes there are two different installers. I guess that the Adobe Download Manager picks the one that matches the system the download starts from.
Follow the direct links from ProDesignTools to get the 64-bit version.

Adobe Download Assistant not working on Lion

I successfully downloaded and installed the trial of Design Premium a couple days ago (but not without having to try to install download assistant a couple of times) and I'm now trying to download AfterEffects but I'm having no luck. I either get an error that says that an version of AIR that I need can't be found (and if I try to install AIR I get that same message!) or I get an instant crash from Download Assistant saying that it couldn't restore windows. I'm trying to reinstall download assistant but having no luck with that either. I'm on Mac OS Lion. Thoughts?

Never mind. Kept trying the same thing and now it works. Weird!
