  • HT1926 cant install itunes on windows 7 64bit . cant run a required dll

i cant install itunes on windows 7 64bit . when i run the setup and reach the status : "performing installation checks" , it said "there is a problem with this Windows Installer Package . A Dll required for this install to complete could not be run.v..v" what should i do now ?

    That's a bit rarer. It's a 1723 error message. (1721 and 1722 are more common.)
Even though the following user tip is about slightly different errors (the 1721 and 1722), perhaps try it with your one too:

Nothing to go on there, you need to explain what you did, what error messages you got and what steps you have taken to fix the problem.

  • Cant Install Itunes to Windows 7 (Multiple Errors) Please help

so i keep trying to install itunes and i get these errors:

Even though the micorsoft website does not list hte SUBINACL tool as being a valid tool for WIndows 7, here is a thread where a microsoft support person recommends it.
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7programs/thread/324918a2-fb68 -49ba-833f-ecfb15a7ef10
I would definitely follow the advice of backing up the registry and creating a restore point before proceeding with subinacl.
After you have downloaded subinacl and installed using admin rights, do these steps to reset the registy permissions:
    ~Start Notepad.
~Copy and then paste the following text into Notepad.
    cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYLOCALMACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCURRENTUSER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCLASSESROOT /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %windir%\. /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose
~Save this Notepad file as Reset.cmd.
~Double-click the Reset.cmd file to run the script.
Note This script file may take a long time to run. You must run this script as an administrator.

I cannot install iTunes on my laptop. It downloads ok. I start to run/install it ok, it gets so far then comes up with an error message saything something failed, quit and retry. This happens every time. HELP

It sounds as though a script on the site, or an advertisement, is not working quite right...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove the site's cookies using either of these. Save any pending work first.
While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • I cant install Itune, i cant install Itune

i cant installed Itunes to Window HP..and Can not re-installed
How i can do..and it's show a message "the old apple support ....

That is the way it works, the iPhone is only designed to sync with one computer.
If you choose to sync with another computer, it will erase the contents of the old computer library and replace them with the new computer library.
The simply solution is to copy or move the iTunes library from your old computer to your new one.
iTunes will still insist on wiping the device, but it will put the same content back.

  • I Cant install iTunes, I said that I need a program in my windows installer

I cant install iTunes in my computer. I said that my windows intaller is missing a program. Could you help me!?

    many thanks, that's perfect.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does it go through properly this time?

  • Cant install itunes 10.6 no matter what i try! (Windows installer package error)

    I cant install itunes !
I downloaded the latest version from the offcial site, and everytime i try to install it it stops half way due to Windows Installer Package error. It says I'm missing a program required to continue this installation.
I've tried removing all the files with removal tools, running it with admin rights, disabling firewalls, User account controls, updated my Windows update to the latest version. Read all the threads and tried everything but it still doesn't work.
    Does any1 have any suggestions?

Download and save a full itunes setup file.
Use Winrar to unzip the file into a folder.  Then right mouse click the file AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi from that folder to install.
If you don't have winrar, you can go to this link to download a free trial version.

  • Can't installed itunes for window 7 32-bit

i cant installed iTunes 10.5.2 for window 7 (32-bit)...i already use any browser but still cannot install.

All I can say is make sure you are the administrator and if not right-click on the installation program and click "Run as Administrator", and delete all traces of iTunes off the computer, i.e. delete the folder C:\Program Files\ipod as you say. Make sure it is the latest version of iTunes and is for Windows Vista (not XP). Another thing to point out is to make sure your Computer is compatible with iTunes 8.2 (perhaps try installing iTunes 8.0/8.1 by searching for the link in Google).
If you have done all of that and it still does not install then I do not know what is wrong. As iTunes is one of the many applications i use 24/7 (pretty much) and I use it all the time, I would try installing it on a similar Windows Machine with a similar configuration and it works, I would reinstall Windows on your personal computer. If not, take the case further as I cannot think of anything else that could be wrong, so long as you have not edited the installation program or anything Good luck.

  • Installing iTunes onto Windows RT 8.1

    Hi
Is is possible to install itunes onto Windows RT 8.1 (Microsoft Surface Device)
I have tried downloading the latest versions of both the normal and x64 editions but both come up with "this app cant run on your pc"
I have also tried running as an administrator but doesnt help.
Any ideas or is it just not compatible with RT?
    Thanks

RT is a watered-down version of 8 that only runs apps designed for it (like apps running on iOS).  Only full windows 8 can run iTunes.

  • HELP I cant install itunes 10.5 on Vista

My husband is going to kill me...I was trying to update iTunes so I could update my iPad and I kept getting the same error message, "The installer has insufficient priviledges to modify this file: C\programfile\apple software update\softwareupdate.resources\software update.tiff" So  I stupidly uninstalled iTunes and now it won't reinstall - I get the same error message. I don't know what to do! I attempted to uninstall the Apple Software Update program as well but I kept getting error messages telling me I don't have permission...  I'm about ready to panic.... Our computer has Vista running on it...

Hello Vista People!  It has taken me an entire day to fix the problem that NOT A SINGLE POST clearly answered the issue of "cant install iTunes 10.5" on my vista machine.  Or worse yet, the problem I was getting was a Windows Installer error.  What I discovered was that there was a corrupted Apple Software Update program.  When I did as so many have suggested, and uninstalled all the Apple products, and then reinstalled, and was unable to get a iTunes 10.5 to install.  The key to notice if you have this problem is that when you look in the Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features, you will notice that Apple Software Update is showing, but there is no "publisher"....there is a file size, about 2.5 mb for me (yours could be different).  And when you right clicked or 'selected' the program in the the "uninstall or change a program" mode in the Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features you would not get anything to do.  You couldnt uninstall it.  So after uninstalling and reinstalling repeatedly, I noticed that the Apple Software Update simply was not able to be 'changed'.  So, I downloaded from Microsoft "Fixit" the program called:  Microsoftfixit.ProgramInstallUninstall.run.exe  found here:  http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall  I then ran this program and when asked how I wanted it to work, I selected the equivalent of "Let me" make the decisions, (Not the automatic fix) and then selected that I wanted to "Uninstall".  When it finished running, it gave me a list of programs to 'uninstall' and I selected Apple Software Update.  When it completed, I checked the Control Panel>Programs and Apple Software Update was gone.  Once it was gone, I was able to install iTunes 10.5 without a problem, and better yet, I also noticed after the installation, in the Control Panel>Programs Apple Software Update was listed with a Publisher.  Now everything works.  I believe there is some issue with Vista corrupting the Apple Software Update software during the uninstall process and Windows Installer doesn't deal with it correctly.  I hope at least one other person can benefit from this, because NOWHERE did anyone do, suggest or clearly advise on how this was to be done.
