Cant install on Mac 10.7.5 - please help
Hi - Ive read and tried all the suggestions in this forum.
Cant solve the basic problem that whenever I try to open the download forthe Flash update, the Flash Player Installer box simply goes black and remains black until I close it. Please help!!!

We're sorry you're encountering issues installing Flash Player. You're most likely experiencing issues with the online shim installer, which downloads/installs Flash Player in the background. We are aware of issues with the shim installer and are working to resolve them. In the mean time, you can try using the full installer, which normally doesn't experience the same installation issues. Yes. I can download a $5 rental movie from iTunes that's 3 or 4 GBs in less than half an hour, but thousands of dollars worth of Adobe software around the same size takes days. I don't know if it's just unusual high load, or lack of international mirrors, but Adobe really need to sort that out! For the bucks their customers are spending it's crazy to have such slow download speed, especially considering their position in the web content and creation market! -

JulieTry enabling the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and connecting the Mac to the Internet thru it. If Facebook works ok then, that would mean the ISP is either blocking or having connection problems whereas the phone carrier is not.
Be mindful that carrier data charges can be outrageous so use this as a test first. -

DId you download and Install the COMBO version of the last Update that you did ?
iChat on the Install Disk is likely to be several versions behind where your OS has been Updated to.
It needs to Match the OS level.
iChat Updates come in the OS Updates.
You need to run the Updater manually as Software Updates keeps records of what it has done and thinks iChat is up to date.
If you are on Snow Leopard then the COMBO version of 10.6.7 is here
If you are on Leopard then the COMBO for 10.5.8 is here
Googling Mac OS X 10.x.x COMBO where x.x is the version you are up to will generally find the link to the right page if you are at a different OS version.

Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.
my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? I added a contact to my iphone 4s and when I did a sync manually it is not showing up on my MAC in address book - please help....I checked off sync all contacts in iTunes - does it only work one way from computer to phone?
Is it because the new itunes looks different.

I was hacked i kept getting emails that some purshcaes were being made when no one was downloading them and i guess they hacked my apple iD because they changed the security question and now i cant change anything without the security question please help i want to reset the security question but i cant.

ollowing problem: I have around 600 contacts on my iphone and Ipad and would like to sync with contact list on my mac book air but its not working and whatever I do I get stuck on the 44 contacts I have on my mac contact-list. Please Help!!!! thanks
First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.
