Cant Install Software? help...

i recently got Dreamweaver and when i try to install it, it says "a problem was detected with your application. please reinstall this software to correct the problem"
not sure what to do, anyone know how i can get this installed?

That only helps in saying the CD for Dreamweaver probably needs anywhere from 360 MB to 480 MB of space to install its software on the hard drive (the typical rate of compression of software installers is somewhere between 2:1 and 3:1, though it can also be less sometimes). Mac OS X on the other hand needs a hard drive that is no more than 85% full according to most agreed upon arbitrary figures. Therefore it is more important to know how much free disk space you have on your hard drive, and not how much space is on the CD.

I cant install softwares on Lion

Hi,
I reinstalled Lion on Macbook pro a week ago. Now I cant install softwares that ask password to install on mac.
For example, 'Adobe update manager' cant update Premium Pro suite. When I click 'Update' button, it asks for password. Even after giving password, it goes back to the update window. Then I tried to install the Premium Pro from DVD. It didnt install either. The same problem happened when I was trying to install Divx.
But when I reinstall some softwares like Google music manager and paint brush, they reinstalled without any problem. These two softwares didnt ask for password.
Another thing is, I cant also unlock the system preference. It kept locked. No use afer typing password.
I repaired 'disk permission'. It didnt fix the problem.
Please suggest me some solutions to fix this problem. Otherwise I have to reinstall the Lion again.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, there are several steps in where you can fix this issue. Let's try the following:
Quit the Mac App Store.
Delete Mac App Store Cache - go to ~/Library/Caches/ folder ("~" represents your home folder) and look for the "com.apple.appstore" folder. Take this folder and place it in the trash.
Delete Mac App Store Preferences - go to ~/Library/Preferences/ and look for the "com.apple.storeagent.plist." file. Take this file and place it in the trash.
Relaunch the Mac App Store.
See if that helps.
I would suggest to make a separate thread as your issue is slightly different from the OP's post. Place your thread in the Mac App Store Forum. This practice can be considered as "threadjacking" and some community members consider it unpolite.

Cant Install Software Driver for HP PSC 1310

My software was not working correctly, so I deleted it in add & remove programs.
I cant install the new downloaded software.
After downloading the software, it extracts, but then nothing happens.
I do not get the information box as shown in the videos on this page

I cant install ios5 help

hi , i have an ipod touch 4G and i cant install ios5 ive tried to install it like more than 15 times , no kidding.
it says : Ipod ( my name ) has runned out of time blabla and the internet conection but my internet conection is excellent And i check it every five seconds. Sometimes I am installing it and it stops halfway and most of the times ive tried to install it it has filled up and it says processing and then the thing appears that says that ipod ( my name ) has runned out. Please help!!!!!

I had get the mac book air recently, its shipped with MAC OS X 10.6.4. I am trying to install msn from microsoftw website also OFFICE from CD, but its asking me for a password for my user account, knowin that I didn't put any password on it.
It turns on normally wihout asking password,

Your account must have a password. You cannot install software even as an admin user in an account that was created without a password.

Cant install software from disk. Terminal window opens with a logon and bash message?

I cannot install software from disk & in some cases download.
If any software disk is inserted the terminal window appears.
The Disk has to be clicked to open the contents but install files or package files show as a blank doc and not the usual yellow package icon.
All that shows is a log on message in the terminal window, but nothing about install.
I thought Drive issues but the drive plays audio and DVD perfect

Whenever i try installing software, it ask me to choose an application, what am i suposse to do after that?

When you double-click on the .dmg file, is that when it asks you to choose an application?
If that is the case, then choose DiskImageMounter, if that is available.
Otherwise choose DiskUtility. In the DiskUtility program click once on the program file name in the left-hand panel, and then click on the Open button. This should mount the .dmg file with a disk icon on your desktop.
If this procedure works, I'd recommend downloading and installing a system maintenance utility like Yasu, and run it with all the options checked, except perhaps clearing your bookmarks. This will fix permissions and prebinding, and clear your caches.

extremely careful because it requires editing your registry which
is kind of risky. if you're not comfortable trying it, or it
doesn't work, you might just have to contact Adobe directly for

to get here, since this forum is mainly for help with Dreamweaver
once it's already installed. of course, it's possible that someone
else has run into this problem and knows exactly how to fix it.

Cant Install Leopard Help!

To start out we have an older Macbook Pro with an Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz and a Power Mac4,5 with an PowerPC G4 (2.1). Both Computers have Tiger 4.11 but now we are trying to install/upgrade them to Leopard and eventually Snow Leopard. When I try to install Leopard it asks for the preferred language after I select the language it begins to load and then abruptly stops and says that if cannot install the software. Is their anything I can Do?

Also your proposed OS migration path is unnecessary.
You do not need to put leopard on macs and then change to Snow Leopard later on. For whatever machines are capable, go immediately to SL.
As stated, using a specific Mac install disk will not work on other machines. You need to buy a proper retail version (black discs) for generic installing on any machine, then use Software Update to upgrade to latest iteration for functionality and security.

Cant install NeoOffice - help!....

....I get as far as 'select a destination' and see the hd with an exclamation mark saying 'can't be installed on this volume until it is put into applications folder blah blah blah, which I've done but still no luck, help please - thanks.

Had the same problem a week ago. I ended up downloading both the patch and the main program at the same time. Without realizing it I kept trying to install the patch before the program. Double check the file (I dumped the download already), I think one clearly has "patch" in the file name.

Cant install SL. help!

Iv had this mac for awhile. Im running 10.5.8 and need to update to snow leopard because my iphone 4 iOS 7 needs itunes 11.1 or later which requires me to have OS X 10.6.8 or later (jeez!!!). I have the SL disk but it will not fully install. It will get to about 1/3 complete then my computer will restart and spit out the disk. I bought a external disk drive thinking my disk drive was no good, but that didnt work either. All i want to do is put music on my phone! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as i am very frustrated. Thank you!!!

This may help:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Install Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Restart the computer but this time use the Snow Leopard DVD. Proceed with installing OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Adobe Reader installation error... cant install any help....

I have been trying to install Adobe reader for an hour.. always give me an error...
Error says: do not have access to dictonery.. try to run as admin.. I am doing from beginning as an admin to install....
Used 2 different browers.. Chrome and Firefox... Also enabales scripting in both browsers also tried Internet explorer...

Problem installing software HELP!!!!

1 )I tried installing my ipod nano cd on the computer and at the end of the installation, the whole thing disappears, like i havan't done anything.
2) The only thing which happens differently is that for a very small moment the icon comes on the screen and before it can disappear and i click on it the error 2093 comes (Quick time failed to initialize) , this is driving me crazy...
