Cant load facebook etc.

When i go to www.facebook.com firefox will not load the page. It is not secure. It had worked until yesterday.

Cant load facebook

I cant load facebook. It happened all of the sudden 2 weeks ago.

When i try to go on fb a page always comes up and says:
- This page can not be loaded. Try to connect and disconnect your connection. If you have any firewall or antivirus check and see if they are prohibiting access to this webpage. And also something about the cookies.
This only happens with Fb and some other random pages (not many). And it only happens from my laptop Apple Macbook Pro. From other computers I can gain access to Fb without a problem.
I have no idea about computers so I don't know what to do. Instead of touching things and seeing what happened I thought it would be best to get some advice first.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.
Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (Site Identification icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Open the Media tab of the "Page Info" window.
*Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Facebook cant load news feed and cant search at the web browser

Facebook in my z10 cant access my messages,my profile and cant load news feed. When i tried to use my Facebook using my web browser it seems it's not loading. I tried to reboot and reset my wifi but still the same. Pls some one help me version 10.2

I have recently updated firefox. On the old version I had all quick links at the top of the page to BBC, Yahoo mail, facebook, etc. I cant seem to get them now. Also when I used to load up hotmail etc the log on details where saved. I cant get this to do this now. Im not very good with computer language so can someone explain this to me please, in simple english?

I can't access Instagram when I'm on cellular data, but with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I have no problems. I've tried restarting my phone, restarting the network settings, even reinstalling the app but nothing works. What should I do?

I just finished updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2. It was working fine after a week, and then just yesterday, I couldn't access Instagram when I was on cellular data, but with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I had no problems. Can't load facebook.

I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now..
I have a new Macbook and for some reason recently it will not load facebook.com.
All other sites seem to work not problem, I've tried clearing the browser cache, tried a different browser, just about everything I can think of.
Can someone help please?

You've got a DNS issue where the site name is not getting converted to the IP numbers. There are many ways this can happen. Parental Control softwares, OpenDNS settings in the router or your machine, changes in your hosts file on your machine, and other places/causes like problems with your ISP's DNS machines, etc. How do you connect to the Internet and who is your ISP?
What do you see when you go to System Preferences/Network/Advanced/DNS
There should be two (and possibly more) IP addresses in the DNS Servers box. If they are gray they are probably being set by your router. If there are some IP numbers in black that can be changed, they have been added manually or by some program.
Most people just use the default DNS numbers that their ISP provides in the dynamic connection. You can actually choose to use just about anybodies DNS servers. You can try adding the DNS servers for OpenDNS (free service). I don't think they block FaceBook by default, but they do block many **** and phishing sites. OpenDNS: https://www.opendns.com/start/
Make note of any DNS servers that you delete from the list in your preference so that you can replace them if needed for some reason.
It's also possible that you are using a community router, that someone has setup and has custom DNS settings that are causing your problem.
The good news is, you can ping a site and get the IP address that you can Bookmark, so you can use your Mac while you are trying to figure out what needs to be changed

Safari won't load Facebook on my new Macbook Air.

I have just bought a new macbook air. (2011 release)
I have not been able to load facebook since i started using it. Every other website works fine. And I have tested FB on other PC's and my phone to make sure that it isnt just the site.
The page begins to load but stops about 1/4 of the way across the address box and then displays the error msg
Safari cant open the page because the server where the page is found is not responding.
I have tried turning my firewall on and off and deleting the history/cache/cookies
Does anyone have any other ideas on what might be causeing this and how I can fix it

1. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow all other plug-ins
2. Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
    Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
    Click "Reset".
3. Turn off Extensions, if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

Problems with loading Facebook log in page.

Hello. I have problems with loading the Facebook log in page. It's been a day. Every time I try to go to the website, it reads,
"The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

I did every possible step to overcome the problem but in vain. Please suggest something that could work.....:(

Firefox sends an error message when I try to load Facebook.

For the last few days, I would try to go to the log-in page on facebook and firefox delivers an error message saying, "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" and then never loads facebook. I have deleted my browsing history, cleared my cookies and cache. I tested my internet connection (which showed no problems) and I even restarted my computer 5 times! Firefox will navigate to all other websites just fine (hotmail, youtube, myspace, etc) just not facebook.

A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

When I click on an icon to open up a game, facebook, etc., my ipad goes immediately back to the main screen. It's charged so I don't know what is wrong.

When I try to go to a game, facebook, etc., my Ipad tries to open it and then goes back to my home page. What is causing this. The battery is charged.

First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Unable to load facebook on my MacBook Pro

I have been unable to load facebook on my MacBook Pro for almost the past 2 weeks on my wireless internet at home. It started out not loading using Google Chrome, but the problem quickly spread to all of my browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Safari). On Chrome I get the following message: "No Data Recieved Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data. Error 324." On Safari, it says "Safari can't open the page." My internet connection is fine for all other websites other than facebook. Furthermore, when I brought my MacBook Pro out-of-town facebook worked fine on a different internet source. In addition, facebook and all other websites are able to load on other devices on my home internet (desktops, laptops, iPad, iPod).
I have contacted both my internet service provider and the manufacturer of my router and neither company had any idea how to fix it. They seemed to think it was either a facebook problem or a problem with my MacBook.
I have a tried a few things that seemed to provide a temporary fix lasting about 5 mintues or a few clicks around facebook:
1. clearing the cache and history in my browswers
2. changing some settings on my router
3. restarting the router
4. connecting to the internet using ethernet instead of wireless
I would really appreciate any help in trying to fix this problem!

I had the same exact problem. This is a simple DNS issue which you can fix through your system prefernces. Look at the DNS setup (System Preferences/Network/Wireless/Advanced)
After doing so, go to THC/IP then there try to change in the Configure IPV: to DNS manual address, try inserting the ip address you had previously. It wont work but by doing so, the computer will try to inster new settings. Then go back to was there before which is Using DHCP... then go back to DNS tab on top add your ip address and connect as usual. This worked for me, I was lucky I have no clue how it worked I was just trying to fool around with the DNS settings which are clearly the source of the issue.

A PowerPC Mac, if that's what it is, won't be able to see an Intel Mac's formatted data. Also ExFat formatting is not supported by 10.6.3 or earlier. I would try viewing the backup on another Intel Mac with at least 10.6.4. If it isn't there, then the backup never really took place. I much profer a hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.
