Cant load my music

Question

I was having problems with my 80G ipod so I restored my ipod. I new that this was going to take all my music off, but now i can't get it back on. when i try and sync my ipod i will get and error 48 or some times a different one, but it will show my songs loading and it will get stuck on one song and then say that it is not able to sync my ipod. I have tryed to delete these songs, but it just get stuck on a different one even if it has worked before. I have no other ideas on what to do.

Lois, don't forget that people post here only when they have a problem, but they _very rarely_ post something when everything is okay. So I would be cautious about using this forum as a basis for judging iPods. (I own two and gave an older one to a friend.)
Something else to consider, if a thread doesn't get an answer, perhaps no one understood the question. In that case, I would recommend re-writing the post, not simply copying it exactly! No one here is a boffin by the way, so called or real - we are iPod users, just like everyone else and contributions are made on a voluntary basis.
I have not experienced error 48, but in the absence of any other contribution to the error 48 debate, I found these articles:

I get the impression from those articles, that error 48 means there are disk errors, in other words, the iPod can no longer read certain parts of the hard drive. The recommendation in the articles appears to be to put the iPod in disk mode and run the "repair disk utility". The repair would repair faults and also stop any unrepairable areas from being used in the future. Until then, every time iTunes tries to write to a faulty sector of the hard drive, it will fail, with error 48 I assume!

P.S. I would not normally have answered this thread since (as I said) I have no experience of error 48, I have no experience of the reapir facility and excessive use of asterisks in the second post doesn't immediately inspire me to respond, but never-the-less...
