Cant make a list/combo box that enters a different value to what you chose

Hi Any help will be very much apreciated,
Iv been turning my timesheet into a P.D.F form for filling out it started as an excell spread sheet and iv bassicialy just put txt boxs over the fields that need filling in and if made the "total" box add up all the hours so its great so far
but the problem i have is for the Premises number section i want to be able to give the user a selection of all the properties but have a number entred into the actual fields for example... you chose "smiths road sainsburys" from a list but the job number "1234" is entred into the form for printing/sending

If I understand what you want, you can use a text box in addition to a combo box for this. For each item in the combo box, set its export value to the number you want. Then in the text box that will display the number, use the following custom Calculate script:
event.value = getField("combo1").value;
Replace "combo1" with the name of the combo box.

How to edit items of a combo box that is part of an array of clusters

Hi,
In the attached vi, I have an array of clusters, and each cluster contain two combo boxes. How do I edit the items in Combo Box 1 for all elements of the array? (All Combo Box 1 elements shall include the same items.)
For illustration, I also included the trivila case, i.e., editing the items in a separate combo box that is is not part of an array of clusters (Combo Box 3). Please advise. Thanks.

How to populate the combo boxes that are created dynamically in jsp

I am using JSP.
I am creating combo boxes dynamically (based on the num selected by the user). These dynamically created combo boxes need to have A-Z as options (each box) . Now, when the user chooses the option A in any of the combo-boxes,the rest should not have this option. so on..
how do i achieve this.Kindly help.

You'll need to use JavaScript...I have a complicated example and a simple example, however, I cannot really understand the complex example but I know how it works. The looping is too complex for me.
First you'll need to populate a server side variable...depending on how often the data is updated you may want this to run each time a new session is created...this example is run each time Tomcat is started and the application context is initialized:

This produces a related select list with 4 related lists by outputting JavaScript to the page being served. It works the same way as the first example that I describe but I don't understand the looping...maybe someone could explain how to go from the single select list to a double and/or triple level drill down?

Is there a way to make a list of songs that I plan on buying in the future?

I constantly see songs that I want to buy on the iTunes store, but then end up forgetting them before I get money to buy them. Is there a way to make a list on the store so that when I come back in the future, I can just pick the songs off of that list?

Sure, pen & paper will work, but if it's in a wishlist, you just click on the arrow and don't have to type things all over again.

Cant get Data in Combo Box of Udo

I made one Master Table..then i made User defined field and i linked that field with a table of no object type. Then i registered the UDO of that Master Table.
Then i generate teh form of UDO from SAP b1 UDO FORM GENERATOR. when i saw that form in screen painter then it didnt show the combo box for the field which i linked with no object type table.
i change the type of field in xml file..then its showing the combo box in screen painter but i am unable to get how to link it with table.
can anybody tell why its happen and how to correct it.

in such cases, as the previous poster had said, recreating the control/VI in question usually fixes the problem. If it persists, a repair of your LabVIEW installation might be necessary.

Problem with editable combo box and creating dynamic table values using js

I have used jquery.jec.js to make my dropdown list as editable... I need to create dynamic table values on the onChange event of dropdown using javascript.
Now am facing the problem in it...
I am getting duplicate rows in the table... think(assumption) this jquery.jec.js is calling the dropdown again creating duplicate values...

The problem is with the function i have called on the onChange Event.. Now i have defined it inside the jquery function of dropdown to make it as editable...

When I try and open firefox now,I get a Run box that comes up and no matter what I click I get an error message.

I have had a problem on my computer with a virus and after several days running different programs to clean up my computer and once it was clean the people over on PCHF suggested I do some things to make my computer more secure. While all this was going on I upgraded firefox to the latest 3.6.12 update, and added a fire wall, (Zonealarm). I updated everything on the computer with the latest and the greatest.
I also was running a guest account on the computer as my main internet account and from what I understand the default guest account is not supported by the new zonealarm firewall so I decided to create another user account and then transfer all my user files off the guest account onto the newly created account that would have zonealarm support.
Before this time I had ie explorer and firefox both working on all three of the user accounts on the computer and after all this work I can only get firefox to work on the newest account. When I try to connect to the internet on the other two accounts I get a box that pops up, 'Run as' with several things to click and no matter what I click I get sent to an error page with an error message: An error occured while processing your request. then and error message ....Ref # 97.dzd0060.1291309687.11103569
Ie explorer will work on all 3 accounts but firefox seems like it wants to be hard to get along with. I don't think it is anything bad that is wrong, probably just a simple click of a box somewhere but I have read every thread on several forums over the past week and I can't find that box.LOL

How to make a form dynamic so that it displays different logos at runtime

I am working on some assignment wherein I would like to make a form dynamic so that in it's designated image holder it displays different logos/pictures at run time? First of all is there such a possibility?? I am still very new to this forum and also trying to understand the logic/bindings/heirarchy etc. in LCD. Any input would be highly appreciated.

LC 7 or 8 does not help load logs at runtime. However you can associate all your logs at design time and control their visibility property based on the events. This may help fulfill the requirements you have to an extent however adding number of images at design time will increase the size of the template.

Display pages that reacts to different values in the drop down list.

I currently did up a simple drop down list that stores values retrieved from the database. I would like the program to display pages that reacts to the selected value without the press of any button, which means, if I select any value from the drop down list, the page will be displayed according to the value selected.

Regarding input combo box list of values

I am using JDev 11.1.1.5.0
I used the input combo box list of values in adf application based on VO.When I type a value in the input combo box and press TAB key,it gives first item of that list rather than that entered value and when I open the list, it shows the repeating values of the first item.

hard to say based on your description. Try with 11.1.1.6 or 11.1.17 and if it reproduces, provide a test case based on the HR schema. Is that an option ? Then send it my way in a zip file renamed to "unzip". My mail address is in my OTN profile, just follow the named link left to this reply

Combo Box - List Value Property

I have a combo box in a form (Forms 10G) which is populated at runtime using values from a parameter table.But when I generate the form it gives a warning message that the list item property has to be filled .
The combo box should display only the values from the database but it should not have any default values.
How can I supress the warning message and avoid entering the list values proeprty at design time.

The warning is part of forms functionality, but is just that, a Warning, and the form should compile if not an error exists. Not sure if there's a way to suppress it, and You can simply leave the list with no values in Your design, as You will provide them at runtime. If coding is ok Your list should display the values You extract from the DB
