Cant make over seas calls

i am currently overseas in oman and was able to make calls all day on my phone. i do have a global plan but all of a sudden i can make no calls but still have internet connectivity. can anyone help?

:Hi. I am sorry you are unable to make calls. I can certainly help you from here. Since you are able to browse the web, you can try to connect your Mobile Network Options. From your home screen, go to "Manage Connections" and then go to "Mobile Network Options". Make sure you are on Automatic and you are set up for Global or GSM.

When the SIM card became activated have you since rebooted be device ?
Have you you tried a network reset on the device ?
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will need to put back your wifi passwords after doing this.

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

I cant make or receive calls or texts. already paid plan. why cant i use my phone

i just got an lg cosmos 3 and i ported my old number. but i cant make or receive calls. i cant send or receive texts either. i dont understand why.

It can take up to a few days for ports to complete and all functions become available with your new service. Is your old phone turned off? (You can remove the battery to be sure it is completely off and disconnected from the old carrier.)

ASA upgrade to 8.4.3 now branh office cant make long distance calls

We deployed 8.4.2 over the weekend and now a branch office that connects to our core via ASA to ASA VPN tunnel is no longer able to make long distance calls. We are using Callmanager 4.1 and it is connected to our core, the phones at the branch register fine and are abe to call internal extensions, but when dialing 800 numbers and longdistance they are not being directed to their PRI.

1) If you have the command "NAMES" on and "NAT CONTROL" on the ASA will start creating a huge amount of object networks so they can perform the same thing that they did on 8.2 . So before doing the upgrade remove the names and the nat control feature

2) Twice nat or as you said (nat command outside of an object network) it is listed on the command reference and actually it has the highest priority when the ASA checks the NAT rules. So do NOT delete them as they are more than fine.
     A) Twice NAT
     B) Auto nat
     C) After-Auto nat
3) That is correct but if they are from the NAT 0 with acl from 8.2 versions should be:
     nat (inside,outside) source static A A destination static B B
4) You are right, you do not need to use a NAT 0 with ACL in order to configure the VPN, instead you need a TWICE nat as I configured on answer 3.

Cant make or receive calls

Hi everyone,
My bt phone has been activated yesterday in the morning but I cant make any calls ( I have signal but when I dial the number it says that 'the number you have dialled has not been recognised') and when im trying to phone that number my phone id completely silent and even though my mobile makes that call picking up the headset doesnt answer the call. My broadband from bt also isnt working. Anyone has any ideas or had a problem like that before?? Also when I ring17070 it gives me a completely different number to the one bt gave me.

An exchange fault like I describe, would not affect broadband, however, broadband may not be activated the same day as the phone. A failure to get the correct number on the line, would cause the broadband technician to fail the circuit.
A crossed line would cause broadband issues, but the fact that when you call the number, its unobtainable, would indicate an exchange fault.

Cant Make or receive calls, only emergency calls

All of a sudden without any update, my Porsche Design 9981 stops receiving or making calls, browser also blocked but I can send and receive sms, i can use the blackberry messenger, then when i put the sim in another blackberry phone everything was perfect, i was able to make and receive calls, can anyone assist me in unblocking my phone calls and brower?

If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock your phone then you will need to connect it to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the phone and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the phone into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a computer that it's not synced to, and which therefore doesn't have a backup on it, then :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

FaceTime is not available on devices sold in Dubai, their country doesn't allow it. Even though you may now be in a different country you won't be able to install it, including via iOS updates - it's blocked by the serial number.
To sync photos, connect and select your phone on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if the sidebar isn't showing then control-S should get it to show), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the phone. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the phone together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the phone, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

Cant make any phone calls...please help

when i go to the phone i cannot pick a contact, edit a contact, dial a number, basically i cant use any phone features. nothing. i cant use favorites, recents, keypad, or voicemail, the only thing i can do is scroll my contacts, and go back home. everything else on the "phone" works fine, except for this pretty important feature. i can answer calls, but not make them. my "phone" is only been out the box barely 24 hours and this already happened...anybody help?

I just had the same problem. The way I resolved it was by holding the button on the top down for several seconds. You are then prompted to "slide to power off". Power it off, and then press the button on the top again to restart your iphone. I was then able to use all of the phone functions again.

I am having an intermittent problem with my iphone 6 sometimes it stops making or receiving calls, message are ok and data is accessible even when calls are not, I have visited the genius bar who tell me the phone is ok and must be a carrier problem, I have just installed a new sim and I have same problem, tried all the usual stuff reset, wipe. Any ideas please I'm an on call carer and cant afford to be without my phone, worst thing is I don't know when its working and when its not.
I have had every iphone and have always been a massive apple enthusiast but the phone and the apathy from the genius bar have made me reconsider my loyalties.

Did you try to set the phone back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards? Set up the rest of your personal data manually and see if you can receive calls.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If the problem persists, the issue must be hardware related. The only way to find out if they is carrier related, would be using another iPhone 6 with the same setup.

last night i was trying to call someone and it would ring and when i answered i couldnt hear anything, same for the person calling me. we tried all the phones in the house to call mine and the same thing happened. what do I do? how did I do it? How do I fix it?

First thing to try, reboot the device: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Cant make or recieve calls and cant send or recieve text messages

needs help my phone has suddenly stopped recieving calls and recieving text messages, i last used it it at 3.30 and at 4.30 it wasnt working can any1 help with this to resolve this. i have network coverage nd signal nd i can dial *#1345# and that works and also if i dial *#147# that also works. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Have you tried a battery pull yet? Can you contact your carrier from a different phone to see if they can assist?

Connected to network, but cant make calls.

So my phone is connected to the network, but cant make or recieve calls or texts, as well as use the browser.
I recently dissasembled it, exactly how the videos said to on youtube, so im confident i didnt break anything when doing it, but maybe a connection inside or something is loose? Any suggestions?

Go to connections, and select Mobile data options. Run the diagnostic test.
If you can pass the tests Run the following:
Hi and welcome to the forums!
Go to options advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing.
Press menu key, and select register now.
You will get a verification email. Then go to email settings and send service books.
Some models like the Curve 8330 and Pearl require logging into the carriers BIS site
via PC.
You will get an email per account. Perform the battery pull and see if the problem is
resolved
