Is the call volume turned up, or is it on mute.

    It sounds as if you have Voiceover activated. You should be able to turn it off by triple tapping the Home button.

  • Cant make phone calls or receive them or text...HELP!!!!

    My iPhone wont allow me to receive texts or send them, or make or receive phone calls. there are no bars on my phone, i have restarted network settings, still not fixed the problem
    Can anyone help please.
    Thanks in advance

    it says:
    Restart iPhone:   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
    If you can’t turn off iPhone or if the problem continues, you may need to reset. A reset should be done only if turning iPhone off and on doesn’t resolve the problem.
    Force quit an application:   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then press and hold the Home button until the application quits.
    Reset iPhone:   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    i have tried each one on numerous occassions

  • Problem - Can't make phone calls with my new Tour 9630

    I just bought a new phone - Tour 9630.  Its a brand new phone on Sprint.
    Now I am in India using this phone on Vodafone and all the services are on, I can send and receive emails, texts, go to websites and download stuff BUT I cant make any calls from that phone.
    Everytime I try making a call, it just disconnects after 2 seconds as if it was not registering anything.
    What I tried:
    Change the mobile connection to GSM only and hard reset the phone - DID NOT WORK
    I tried calling service provider who mentioned all my services are working fine
    I tried changing the sim card on the new phone - DID NOT WORK
    I used my Vodafone sim in another - Works fine but not on the new phone.
    I called blackberry support at vodafone - they say I might have to update the OS, which does not sound as music to my ears because this a new phone.
    I rebooted the phone million times - DID NOT WORK
    I wiped the phone and reinstalled everything - DID NOT WORK
    Checked and changed all the setting and tried making calls - DID NOT WORK
    Anything you could do to please help me so that I can make phone calls will be highly appreciated.

    My issue has been taken care of. It seems that Sprint has had an issue with the phone number prefix 238 in the 24151 zipcode. I ended up having to change my phone number and put my phone number under a new zipcode. It all works awesome again. Thanks.

  • How do I make phone calls through my computer?

    I have a Lenovo U530 and it is equipped with bluetooth. My phone is an iPhone 5S and I was wondering how to make phone calls through my laptop. Please help!

    You can make free Local and STD call from any mobile or land phone. For this you need internet connection, PC and mobile/land phone. From
    Dingaling you can make free call. Create an account, login to Dingaling and put you and your destination number. Both number will call and connect for free. To know more details visit

  • Can't used my iPad to make phone calls with 8.0.2

    I can't get my iPad to make calls or answer texts through my iPhone. Same network, bluetooth on both devices, same FaceTime account. I can't find wifi calling on my phone to turn it off. Handoff is working just fine with safari
    any suggestions?

    Hello jllieblein,
    Wi-Fi calling is only available on T-Mobile. The setting can be found in Settings -> Phone, should you have T-Mobile. Otherwise, Wi-Fi calling is off.
    Make a call over Wi-Fi with iOS 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6339
    The steps below detail how to go about setting your iPad and iPhone up to make phone calls.
    Phone calls
    To make and receive phone calls on your iPad or iPod touch, here's what you need:
    Your iPhone and your iPad or iPod touch need to use iOS 8 or later.
    Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
    Both devices must be signed in to FaceTime using the same Apple ID.
    This means any iOS device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
    Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off.
    You may also need to verify that iPhone Cellular Calls is turned on in Settings -> FaceTime.
    Turn off iPhone cellular calls
    To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
    Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity

  • Want to make phone calls via bluetooth on my iPhone from iPad

    I can link my Garmin GPS to my iPhone via Bluetooth and make or receive phone calls.
    I would like an iPas app that provides the sametype functionality including:
    Make calls
    Receive calls
    Look uphone numbers
    Is this possible?  Using what app?

    There are a couple of Apps out there that will allow you to use a Google Voice phone number to make and recieve calls via the iPad. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to replicate the Garmin / iPhone setup I don't think that is possible.
    Google Voice  setup - gvconnect and talkatone. (wifi)
    Skype - I think that you can make phone calls via Skype and Wifi.
    I don't have a clue as if it is possible to make a phone call over 3G via the iPad.

  • Impossible to make phone calls... drop drop drop...

    By now it's impossible to make phone calls because they drop every single time after about 3 seconds. My phone goes completely dead from the other side, they tell me. I love this phone for everything else, but shouldn't at least the phone function work?
    My wife want me to return it and get a "good" phone...

    Have you checked for the proximity sensor issue? i.e., is the screen turning back on after you put the phone up to your head and you're possibly hanging up the phone by pressing the screen with your cheek? Not saying this is your problem but definitely worth checking as it's a well known issue with the iPhone 4 and is widely expected to be fixed with firmware 4.1 coming soon. (I hope!)
    Easiest way to test it is to simply use the phone in speakerphone mode. If the call stays live then you've found your problem. Also, do you have a case on the phone to deal with the well documented antenna issue? That will kill a call as well if you're using a bare phone and touching the metal edges with your fingers.
    I replaced my 3GS with a 4 and rest assured, if you have a case on it, the signal and call quality is fine. I know for a fact that my new iPhone 4 is working better at holding voice calls than my 3GS in areas where my 3GS was known to have signal problems. I have a case on my phone and I do have the proximity sensor issue but I watch for that so otherwise, I'm very happy with the phone.
    If none of the above is an issue then you may simply have a defective phone and you should return it for a new one. Cheers!

  • Bbandtalk sip setup cant make outbound calls

    hi i have extracted the sip settings for my bbandtalk service and loaded them into my 3cx server and it has registered fine. However, I cant make outbound calls. It comes up with a message saying 'sorry you cannot make or receive calls on this line'? any ideas? i have seen something about you cant use the bbandtalk sip setup unless you are on your bt broadband line....but if this was so, then how does the bbandtalk softphone client work?

    Having similar problems ("Sorry, you cannot make or receive calls ...").  Using FreePBX and Asterisk and could use some help with the settings.  Happy to take settings that go into other configuration files, but I'm currently stuck.  Here's what I've got thus far (and it doesn't work -- tried several permutations, too):
    type=peer
    context=incoming_bbt
    username=445603449781
    authuser=445603449781
    secret=B9R0WDKP9KAQMVX
    host=62.239.169.148
    insecure=very
    fromuser=445603449781
    fromdomain=62.239.169.148
    dtmfmode=rfc2833
    Any help would be appreciated.  Have other VOIP services working and BT seems to register fine.
