Cant open another tab in firefox

I cant open another tab in firefox, and it doesn't keep any of my addresses in firefox in the tool bar? ive removed and re downloaded and nothing. its acting funny and nothing im doing is working any sujestions?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Why can't I open another tab in the current window anymore?

I have not had an issue with this problem until today. I have had my laptop since May 2010 and I have been using firefox the whole time. Today, my roommate used my computer, but used internet explorer. Since then, I have not been able to open another tab on the current page.

Perfect solution. The resolution was not letting me get past the user agreement and into the iPod settings.

Everything I click on opens another tab, there is no other way to describe this major problem. And I mean everything you click on! I have restarted, reinstalled, ran in safe mode, disabled add on's ect......
I have been a loyal firefoxer for about 6 years and this makes me not want to continue......help.......!

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

11g dashboard prompt - anyway to add an action to apply to open another tab

I have a requirement to show the prompt for a particular dashboard on one tab and the reports on another. Is there anyway to add an action to the apply button so it applies the filter and opens another tab?

Use the Action Link
ie Add Action link to your dashboard page which is placed with in the prompt and
goto Properties of Action Link -> Type your report name in Link Text -> New Action - Navigate to BI Content and browse the Report -> click OK.
Note: Don't forget to give the filter option - is prompted in your report.

I have this problem as well. I could not see the ask toolbar in firefox, yet in the add or remove programs it was installed. As soon as I uninstalled it, I could open tabs again!

Can't open another window in firefox and add-on icons won't show

I had to do a system restore after downloading malware which avast stopped from activating. I downloaded Spybot and scanned/fixed various things it had identified but then my laptop wouldn't start in anything but safe mode. After I did the system restore, the malware and Spybot were gone, but Firefox crashed every time I tried to open it, so I had to use Internet Explorer to get online and download Firefox. Since then I have 2 problems: Firefox will only open in one window (it will let me open multiple tabs but only in one window) and my add-on icons (the Personas fox, the Greasemonkey monkey, the Boost for facebook infinity symbol, etc) won't appear on the bottom toolbar or browser bar as they always have, nor are they in the Tools drop-down menu as they always were. I can't get into Personas favorites at all either, despite having reinstalled the Personas Plus account twice. I assume that something causing these things happened when I did the system restore, as anything Spybot "fixed" should have been undone by the system restore? I have Vista 32-bit on a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. Please help!

So the build that you downloaded for CentOS 6.4, where did you download it from?
There are some versions of Firefox that may have been compiled by third party providers for specific Linux builds. Mozilla does not host these builds. [[Install Firefox on Linux]] is the reference to the official code for Linux.
