Cant open .jpg???

I'm a total newbie and trying to get all my images to load on
the remote site. They show up on the local site. So now I'm trying
to organize my images but it says can't open jpg files. WHAT? What
are the steps in stardardizing the uploading of pics? Thanks for

I think your first remediation step would be to forget
everything they
taught you in the class. Then study HTML until you can sorta
code a page by
hand. Then do some CSS study. Now you're ready for DW.

Windows bug - jpg file cant open by any software

i search my problem in forum but cant find solution for fix this problem
about 200 pictures in my hard disk shown correctly yesterday
but today all of my pictures cant open and dont shown but they are exactly have former size.
by windows photo viewer i have this error msg:
"windows photo viewer cant open this picture because the file appeared to be damaged ,corrupted ,or is too larg"
in photoshop i have this error:
could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found.
in paint i have this:
c\user\desktop\new folder\01.jpg paint cannot read this file.this is not a valid bitmap file,or its format is not currently supported
MICROSOFT should be held accountable soon !
it was impossible if i was using other os like MAC OS and its windows bug !
please do not respond similar to other posts about that i have viruses trojan or worm ,none of these have.
OR tell the solution OR if you do not have the academic ability for solve this problem,help from steve jobs employees ,or other company,just answer to me becuse value of images that destroyed on your OS (windowse 7 64bit) .more than anything in the world
for me.

From the error descriptions you have listed it sounds like you may have suffered some sort of disk corruption. Do you have backups or alternative copies of these files? Are you seeing similar issues with other file types?
Can you copy these image files to another computer running Windows or another OS to open them?

Mobile Wiped Itself!!.. After that I cant open encrypted images jpg.rem

Hello,
I gave wronge password b/w Desktop Manager and BB Smartphone 8520. So BB got wipe all and rebooted itself.
After that I cant open my encrypted images which are formated in jpf.rem. I have read all posts but not related to my case.
Any Help will appreciated.

KB11454Encrypted files stored on the microSD media card appear as .rem files
Read very carefully the last statement:
"If encryption on the BlackBerry smartphone is broken (for example, all data and applications are removed from the BlackBerry smartphone), the files remain encrypted and there is no way to recover them."

Opening jpg and pdf with Adobe?

I have installed Adobe Reader X, Air and Acrobat but since then the pdfs no longer open automatically and I dont know how to get the to do so. While trying to fix it, I mistakenly confirmed an "open with" for jpgs also with Adobe. And now I cant open any of my jpgs because a notice comes on Adobe saying that the coding is wrogn. Wha a mess! Can anyone help me with where to go and what to do. It just doesnt look as if there is any way to reverse these simple mistakes

Shift-right click a JPG file and select Open with and then Choose program.
Select the program you want to use for these files and tick the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".
To associate PDF files with Reader do the same with a PDF.

Cant open raw+jpeg

Hi- have a Canon 50D and went to download to Macbook and now the files show .igy in front of image numbers- get message saying cant open them- this is all the info I have as a friend was using the camera and there not sure what they did to it- any help would be appreciated

Are you sure images are showing "igy" in front of the file number?
They should show IMGxxxx.JPG or IMGxxxx.CR2 (if the camera is set to use sRGB color space)
or
_MGxxxx.JPG and _IMGxxxx.CR2 (if the camera is set to use Adobe RGB color space).
When shooting RAW + JPEG, you should see one of each for every file number.
In all cases the "xxxx" would be the sequential file number between 0001 and 9999.
50D cannot shoot video, so there are no types of video files possible.
There is no way to prevent 50D from using these file number conventions. In other words, nothing can be changed in the camera by the user... except the choice of sRGB or Adobe RGB color space, which determine whether an "I" or an underscore are used at the beginning of the file name.
If the file name is showing something different, that change must be happening when you are importing the images from the memory card to your computer. What method do you use? Is it set to rename the files during import? (I just use a drag and drop to copy or move the files from the folder on the memory card to a folder on the computer that I've prepared in advance... In other words, I don't use any software-based import.)
If the file extension has been changed accidentally, you should be able to edit it and change it back. Don't mix up the .CR2 and .JPG though. The CR2 files will always be the much larger of the two.

Cant open attachment

I cant open attachment on my outlook web access using the safari, can anyone help? I tried reinstalling the safari applications and also the MAC Snow Leopard but was not successful. The error message is "Safari can't open this page. Server is not responding please try again. I try and try but to no avail.

Might depend on the attachment, ie., .doc .jpg
And check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off then try to open an attachment.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Most of my apps cant open and finder cant respond after installing osx mavericks

Hi, ever since i installed the released (to the public) version of osx mavericks, all **** has broken loose!! First, my finder is not responding. 2. all folders and files on the desktop have dissappeared. 3. most of my applications cant open: i.e, Mail, iMessage, Maps, iPhoto, Calendar, Reminders. 4. The ram in use is 3.99 yet my macbook air is only 4 gb ram.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Im using a macbook air (mid 2013). 1.3 ghz, 256 gb, 4gb RAM. I have about 160 gb of free space.
Please help!! What can I do?

Maybe the document is corrupted. Can you open other Pages documents? Preview may open it. Right click (or control click) on the document in Finder and Open With > Preview.
If that works, Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste into a blank Pages document. Formatting may be messed up, but you will have editable text. Then Save (with a different name), close and see if you can open the new document.

Error message: "Dreamweaver can't open .jpg files"

I'm using DW 8, and I have installed the 8.0.2 update. I'm
having trouble inserting certain JPG images into a site. I get an
error message pop-up that states "Dreamweaver can't open .jpg
files". It will allow me to insert some jpg files, but not all of
them. I've tried drag & drop and going through the Insert menu.
The files are not large at all. Doesn't appear to be any problem
with png's or gif's. It's incredibly frustrating. Anyone have any
suggestions? TIA.

most people suggest 72 because it was an old standard with
the early
macintosh DTP programs. For web use it's easier to
standardize on it because
when you make an image, you have to put ~some~ number in the
resolution box
and it might as well be 72 as any other number. It simplifies
moving image
files around in different applications if they are all the
same resolution.
For display in a browser, these will all have the same file
size and display
size in a web page:
600x600 pixels at 1dpi
600x600 pixels at 72dpi
600x600 pixels at 6000dpi
It's when they are used in other applications or when a
direct url like
/photos/1.jpg is printed out that they may display in the
resolution, not
the pixel dimension.
I came across a page once where the designer always saved his
images with a
resolution of 6000 dpi or some other odd number because he
thought that if
people dragged the image off the page to save it- most of
them wouldn't be
able to resize it. or some other idiot reason maybe.

Cant Open System Preferences, when i double click the icon it opnes up and then after a second it disappears

Hi new as a mac user...ok so how come i cant open my "System Preferences" and my "hard disk icon" is missing from my desktop? and im seeing question marks on my icons, namely the "download" icon and the "documents" icon? i need help :/
i tried opening the system preferences from the uper left corner of my desktop but to no avail. and i cant really reinstall the OS because macbook air doesnt have a disk drive and my MBA is early 2008 so it doesnt have the USB thingy that the latest MBA has.
