Cant open nef raw file in photoshop elements 9?

i have photoshop elemets 9
i have a nikon d5200
and i have problems opening nef raw file. this is the message i get.
i have tried all updating procedures.useless.i am upto date.i opened file as a raw nef file and i get this message:
could not complete your request because of a program error

For the D5200 you have two alternatives:
(1) Upgrade to PSE 11. (2) Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

Are you opening the image directly from iPhoto? Right click & choose Edit in >> Photoshop Elements Editor
This link is old but gives information on set up. It relates to PSE11 but the principle is the same. In iPhoto prefs you navigate to the editor application in the support files folder. Start from Finder by holding down the Alt (Optn key) and choosing Library.

Cant import NEF RAW images into Photoshop Elements 9.

before anyone says i have the updated camera raw plug in because i have already looked so it should work, but it doesnt.
i took the images with the Nikon D3200 i NEF RAW format.
but photoshop kept on saying that the format was not supported, i was opening them up through FILE, OPEN, then i was browsing for the photos, but it would keep ion saying that the file was not supported.
but then i saw some where that you ha to open the image up through OPEN AS, so i did it that way, and for a moment it looked like it was working but then photoshop elements 9 crashed and it said it couldnt open up the image due to problem, can someone help me.
for the time being i will just use the JPEG images because i took and NEF RAW image and a JPEG image at the same time, which later on i will just replace the image with the NEF RAW image when i get it to work.
but until then cam some one help me try to get it to work, thank you.

The problem is that PSE9 will not support the version of camera raw that is needed for D3200 RAW files.
To make use of these D3200 RAW files, you need to download the FREE Adobe DNG Converter (version 8.2) and then use that software to convert the RAW to DNG.
Alternatively, you could purchase PSE 12, and then your D3200 RAW files will open properly without need for a converter.

I cant open .cr2 RAW files in photoshop cs4

I have a Canon 1000D, and im trying to open RAW files to edit in cs4. Everytime i open it, photoshop says that it doesnt recognise this type of file, but i open my friends RAW file (450D) and it can read it. I have also downloaded the 5.4 RAW plug-in for cs4, and it still wont open. Is there something else that i have to download?

ok, so i opened the DNG converter program, and this is what i did. I targeted the converter to the 'test' folder that i made on the desktop, then clicked ok, and when i clicked convert, it came up with a "this folder doesn not contain any supported camera raw files" warning, but it clearly does have raw files in the folder :/

The EOS 70D was first supported in Camera Raw 8.2 which is only compatible with Elements 12.
You won't be able to open Raw files from the 70D in Elements 11.
Options:
Upgrade to Elements 12
Free: download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all 70D Raw files to DNGs then open and edit the DNGs in Elements 11

How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.
There are two charts supplied by Adobe that explain your RAW dilemma. In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. Elements version 5 was made obsolete by Elements 6 back in 2007. The T3i was only released 2-3 years ago. Adobe was up to Elements version 9 or 10 by then. Every camera has its own particular camera raw software, and Adobe has to write an update for the software to work with each new camera's RAW files. And Adobe stops updating the old versions to work with new cameras when the next version of Elements/Lightroom come out.
I had to buy Lightroom 4 only 6 months after I had bought Lightroom 3 when I bought a new camera. The older version would not, and never will, work with the RAW files from my 6D.
You could, I believe, use DPP to convert the RAW files before exporting them into Elements 5, but personally I would just take this as a cue that it is time to get Elements 11. Or Lightroom 5. I personally prefer Lightroom.

How to open NEF(RAW) files transferred from old computer.

I have Elements 10 with latest updates on a new computer(Windows 7). I transferred my picture files from my old computer (XP) that were in My Pictures. Old computer had Elements 3. I can't seem to open NEF files in Elemnets 10. On old computer I was able to highlight a NEF file and then select Open with Elements. I don't see that option with WINDOWS 7. How can I open NEF(RAW) files. Also the thumbnails of the transferred files are not created in Elements 10 organizer. How can I accomplish that?

Thumbnails not created: Do you mean there are no thumbnails or just big question marks?
Does the organizer show a count of items in the bottom left of the window?

Adobe's software is a mess in terms of the fact that it's sprayed all over the place and may not survive an OS upgrade. Try reinstalling Photoshop CS5.

There is another choice.
You can download the free Adobe DNG Converter, then convert your RAWs to DNG, and then open them in the PSE6 Adobe Camera Raw editor. This doesn't require you updating your software to PSE9, or purchasing anything.

It is a high order probability that your SQL's report generator is creating the PDF, not Acrobat (which by design and EULA cannot be used in as/with server).
That the report generator outputs to an old-old version of PDF bears this out.
Wiki articles on PDF are very nice for those high level intro summaries.
To know / understand PDF you purchase and study the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1:2008).
Rather than "PDF validation" you may want to consider addressing the appearent root cause of the problem(s).
You can change the email2fax application to one that can deal with older PDF versions.
You can change the report generator to one that can output to the ISO Standard.
(Perhaps the in-use application can be configured to output to the current version of PDF (i.e., the ISO Standard).
