Cant open video attachment

I have IP cameras keeping an eye on my house etc when it is left empty, whenever they sense movement they send an email with a short video attached, no more that 450kb. I can view this using Outlook but on my BB when I try to open the attachment it fails to open. Any ideas what could be the problem and how to rectify it.

Hi,
BB does not support all the video clip formats. You can check the manual for which formats are supported.

  • Cant open any attachment or downloaded file with any office 365 for small bussines

I cant open any e-mail attachment or downloaded file of any kind with any application in office 365 for small bussines. Since I need it for bussiness need help NOW. Thank you.

    Hi,
Did you get any error message when you tried opening or downloading the attachment?
Are you viewing attachments in Outlook Web App or Outlook desktop client? If you were using OWA when this issue happened, please have a look at this KB article and see if it applies:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2852113
Since this forum focus more on Office desktop client side questions, if it's an OWA issue in Office 365, I'd recommended you post a question in the Office 365 Community forum:

  • There was an error opening document.  Access denied. Cant open pdf attached to emails

I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader x and can't open files attached to emails in Outlook 2010.   If I save the file, I can open it.   I assume it has something to do with protected view or such but can't find where to change settings.   I can open .doc and .xlsx files attached to emails so it seems to be only an issue with .pdf files attached to emails in Outlook.   Suggestions?

To make things simple for you, here are two ways for you fix the problem:
    A. Fix One PC
    Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader X
    Go to: Edit > Preferences...
Click on "General" in the left pane.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
You will prompted with a dialog box to remind you to close the application for the change to go into effect. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
    Exit Adobe Reader
    B. Fix Several PCs in Your Organization
Following the above steps aren't practical if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on 1,000+ computers in 30 regional offices! Push this registry setting using your standard software deployment software.
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\Privileged]
    "bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000
Microsoft Outlook and other email clients
I hear this will also fix the "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." error that is occurring with any email client, including Microsoft Outlook Express; Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003; Eudora; Mozilla Thunderbird.

  • Cant open video effects

I cant seem to open the video effects. When I go to Video - Show video effects, it is always grayed out. The short cut shift-command-E does nothing. I am also told by my friends that in the bottom left corner of a video chat window should display a video effects button to click on, but I dont have it. I am using version 4.0.5. Any ideas?

    Hi,
The Backdrop Video Effects only work for Intels.
The Other Effects may be Processor Specific. It is really Graphics card but Apple tend to use the Process based on the Original Computer specs as the likely card.
iChat pushes Video production for these effects to the Video card.
In Fact the iChat 4 specs that were apparently Updated on the 12th June sasy Intel for both sets of features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2020?viewlocale=en_US
However my G4 1Ghz dual is doing the effects.

  • Cant open Video File

I have bought the book called Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Classroom In a Book.
I'm up to Lesson 3 and the instructions say to go to the Lesson 3 folder and open the video file called Tiger.AVI.
When I do that in Photoshop elemenst 9 it sais "can't open the file because its in an unsopported format"
This video file is from the DVD that came with the book, i have not modified it in any way.
Why can't Photoshop Elements 9 open this file so that I can continue with the lessons?

I have installed Quicktime and i'm able to play the video file with quicktime however, Photoshop Elements 9 will not play it still. I still get the same error message that i have posted in my first post.
    Can anyone please help?
    This doesnt make any sense.

  • Cant open videos in iphoto

Prior to installing snow, double click on mpeg video taken with digital camera in iphoto and the video played with quicktime. Now nothing happens when I double click. Quicktime X is installed. Would consider getting rid of X and installing Quicktime 7 instead. Any simple solution??

    Any simple solution??
QT X is a whole new area for experimentation. Can't make any tests at the moment as my Snow Leopard platform is/will be busy most of the dat performing conversions and I don't have any MPEG-1 content in iPhoto anyway. However, where would be what I would try...
Would consider getting rid of X and installing Quicktime 7 instead.
Snow Leopard structure embed is dual 32-/64-bit transition version. Both QT X and QT 7 (v7.6.3) can simultaneously reside on your platform. Simply install the QT 7 software in the "extras" installer package on you Snow Leopard installation disc. This will install the QT 7 Player in your "Applications > Utilities" folder.
Prior to installing snow, double click on mpeg video taken with digital camera in iphoto and the video played with quicktime. Now nothing happens when I double click.
Once installed on your system, here is what I would do. Try opening the QT 7 Player and leave it active in the background. Now try double-clicking the MPEG-1 file in iPhoto and see if it automatically opens and plays as it used to do. The reasoning here is that some users have indicated that various movie playback operations will default to the open QT 7 Player rather than opening the closed QT X Player. Frankly, I'm not at all sure what will happen here, but it would be something I would try/test on my Snow Leopard platform if I could access it without worrying about a possible interruption in conversions already in progress. Whether or not it works, please post back with your results so others will have an idea as to what "workarounds" may work for them.

  • HELP: I cant open any videos in PS CS6 - Mac OSX

Please help me! I cant open videos in Photoshop - The videos is .MOV so it should work... but when I open it it says

    Welcome to the fourm.
It appears that you posted, before you listed the error that you receive, when trying to Open the MOV files. That could be very important.
Also, as MOV is but a "wrapper," and can contain all sorts of CODEC's, knowing about your particular MOV files might hold the clue. Please see this article, and let us know more about your particular MOV files: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0 Note: the article talks about "AVI" files, but other formats, like MOV, can contain a vast number of CODEC's.
On a Mac, one can use Media Inspector, a great utility, to find out what is inside the MOV files.
Also, as many MOV files contain some CODEC's, that are installed with QuickTime Player, I would check that your version of QT Player has been updated.
Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.

  • Cant open enbedded videos; youtube for example

    Hi,
I have just upgraded to mozilla beta version (latest version) and guess what:
Now I cant open videos on youtube and other webpages..
    help needed and uppreciated.
    Thank you

    I tried downloading that Application.
The first thing you need to do is quit it if it is already open. If it does not respond to Quit off its menu, then hold down Command and Option and type Esc. A window will come up with the names of everything that is open. Select jdownloader from the list, and click "Force Quit".
The Application will not function correctly unless you open the .dmg file, and look at the icons there. The leftmost one is the Icon for the Application. The center one is a "sight gag". It is an Alias for the Applications Folder. MANY Mac Applications install by dragging them to an Alias of the Applications Folder. You MUST drag the Icon for the Application onto the Icon for the Applications folder, and let it copy its stuff to various places and get ready to work for you. The Application will not work correctly unless you do it this way.
Once you have done that, open the Aplications Folder and click on jdownloader Icon to launch it. Then wait. and wait. and wait. Eventually it will draw a very ugly window with its controls in it.

  • Cant open PDFs in Outlook

Hi - suddenly cant open PDFs attached to emails in Outlook - get a message saying error in initialisation/access denied.  This has only happened since the latest updates (using XI) ... it works ok if I save the PDF to my hard drive and open from within the program but who has time?? can someone help me please??

    Hi Jim
the usual reason, if it's all pdf's - is an adobe pdf plugin not working properly...
look in both HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and the same folder within your Home/Library/
& remove any pdf/adobe/acrobat plugins you see, then restart Safari
adobe acknowledge the problem at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/908/cpsid_90885.html
although their suggestion is to stay with safari 5.0.x and/or not update to lion
You don't need it for most pdf's since safari's built-in pdf viewer will show them, or they can be downloaded & opened in adobe reader/acrobat - but if not seeing them within safari is a problem - try http://schubertit.com/pluginpdf/ after removing any adobe plugins.

  • Photoshop 2014 (fresh install) cant open a video because: -. the dynamiclink media server is not avalable – any idea how to fix this on os x 10.5.8 ?

Photoshop 2014 (fresh install) cant open a video because: …. the dynamiclink media server is not avalable – any idea how to fix this on os x 10.5.8 ?

    i found the error!
little snitch on os x blocks something (i dont know what exact) of adobe in the background. i have no rule defined for adobe in little snitch, so everything of adobe can go out.
when i stop little snitch, everything works fine - photoshop opens videos without the medialink error, photoshop starts up in seconds and premiere starts without a quicktime error.
i report the problem also to objective developement to fix this!
