Cant play my music on icloud

I have uploaded thousands of songs onto icloud and now I am able to play or download them again.
Can anyone help?

Can you describe what you are experiencing in a little more detail? What does "can't play music" mean?

What steps exactly did you take?
If you moved the iTunes Media folder from <User's Music> iTunes to some random location then that is wrong way to do it. You haven't complained of an empty library so I'm guessing that's what you did.
What generally works is to move the entire iTunes folder to say X:\iTunes, and then hold down shift as you start iTunes. You should get a prompt asking you to choose or create a library. Click choose and browse to the moved library.
If you moved just the media folder then move the main iTunes folder, shift the media folder inside, then shift-start-iTunes. It should all come together.

Cant play/find music iTunes

When I try to play a song it says the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? I have search the computer but I cant find the song. I was wondering what I have to do to find and play the music. It is all listed on itunes but I cant find the songs. Please help

This can happen if you have the iTunes library on an external drive and the drive is disconnected. The name/title of the music appears in the library catalog but the actual music is not reachable by iTunes.
Check the iTunes preferences and see where iTunes thinks your music should be.

Why cant i delete music from icloud

I have music in icloud which i dont want and i cant delete it? when i right click to delete from itunes it say it will be deleted from itunes but not from icloud it will be hidden. Please help, I am feed up in setting up a new pc windows and there duplicates of my songs even 4 of each how annoying?

If you mean from iTunes Match without having them on your hard drive, then that's because they aren't on your hard drive.

I cant play some music of my iphone

When I want play music, there is some songs that I cant play. It show a red symbol and grey letters.

I have had this problem and I hope this works (it did for me and I also had an iPhone 4S - 7.1.2)
1) Plug your iPhone in to iTunes.
2) If it automatically starts syncing click the 'X' to cancel the sync as quickly as you can.
3) Once the Sync has cancelled, navigate to:
'File' > 'Devices' > 'Transfer purchases from "_______ iPhone"
4) Wait for Purchases to transfer.
5) Update Apps on iTunes.
6) Wait for that to finish.
7) Try and Sync again.
8) This time it should work.
----CONTINUE READING IF THIS DOESN'T WORK----
9) Click 'Restore iPhone'
10) Let iPhone restore (could take 20 minutes)
11) Set up as a 'New iPhone' and sync your music.
----OTHER THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE YOU RESTORE----
1) Is your iPhone running the latest software version?
2) Is your iTunes running the latest software version?
3) Are your songs in an unsupported File format?
4) Are your songs corrupted?
5) Have you transferred purchases and updated all apps on iTunes?

1) Re-install iTunes (could work - probably won't but you can give it a try)
2) Delete all music off phone (again probably won't work but you could give it a try)
3) Re-start your phone by holding the 'Home/Touch ID' button and the lock button at the same time and hold until the Apple logo appears.
----NOTES-----
Since updating to iOS 8 and iTunes 12 I haven't had this problem. You might want to update to iOS 8.1 and iTunes 12 - this could solve the problem too.

I bought a macbook air today and I can't play any music on my itunes. All the music is there, but i can't play any of it. How can I fix this?

Have you done Store > Authorize This Computer from iTunes' menu? That should solve it.

Cant play purchased music ever!!?!?!

I used up all the computer authorizations so even though I have my purchased music in a backup file I am unable to play it because I cant authorize my computer

Launch iTunes
Log into your account
again click onto your account -> manage account
If you have used all your 5 authorizations your may now (from that manageing window) reset them all - this action can be performed once a year only: So use your authorizaations carefully.

I have downloaded itunes match but i cant play some music on my pc but i can on my iphone

I have downloaded itunes match. I can play all my music on my iphone but when i try to play it from my pc, it tells me it cannot locate the original files. Even though most are things i have purchased from itunes.
They are now mean to be in the cloud but dont seem to be for my pc.

On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed.

Cant play my music

i transfered my music from my phone via a card readed through a usb hub. the music shows up in media manager but says it is transcoding and to try later. well later has come and gone many times now and no change. these are all vcast songs. but not rhapsody songs. does that matter. i did put the songs on my computer 1st before sending them to the media manager if that makes a difference. im new to this so someone help. iv tried emailing support but they wernt very supportive

no still didnt work i opened the files in guicktime and theres no audio the play time is counting but you cant here the songs

Cant play downloaded music on my mini

Help !!!!
I downloaded 3 songs on my mini, I also loaded some songs from a cd via my computer. When I try to play downloaded songs I select song and hit play. Then my ipod switches to a song from the cd music and plays that instead of requested song.

buzz, you will now need to move this new information to the "importing & burning" forum of the iTunes for Windows forum, (I assume you're using Windows since you didn't post an OS), including the complete error message & number, with a specific explanation of what has been happening. I'll admit these types of problems are not my "thing" either, but b noir frequents that forum & seems to be one of our experts on these issues. When you post your new topic, I would post it as a 1406 error & bring it to b's attention, stating that I sent you. Wish I could have been of more help!

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything back.

I can't play or burn to cd music I purchased, it says to authorized the computer, then when I do, it says this computer is already authorized

What iPod do you have? There is a software update for iPods available at Apple. (Update was 2006-09-06). Doing this meant I can now get my store purchased tunes on my pod.
I struggled to get it to work though. It said it had done it and it hadn't. I had to (after downloading the update) ....
Go to Applications / Utilities / Ipod Software Update
Open the newest update
Factory reset my ipod from the menu
It then installed the newest version of software and everything workes fine now.

AAAGH! Cant play purchased music! Help!!

I have recently updated all my software, on my computer and Ipod mini, but the ipod wont play the purchased songs. They're actually in the ipod but it skips to the next song, then skips to the next song etc. I have tried to keep re downloading them in the ipod, but they wont play, what do I have to do??!!

Lauren, sometimes an easy fix for this is to de-authorize the computer in iTunes/Advanced menu, then to re-authorize it. You re-authorize it by playing one of the songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store in iTunes. It should ask you for your Apple ID and password, then the computer will be authorized again. Sync you iPod with iTunes, and those songs should play again.
