Cant publish page to other domain

Hi!
My domain name is www.madsmeskalin.com. I made a site in iWeb, and wanted to publish it. All settings are okay I think, and the test connection button works fine. Here are my FTP server settings:
Site Name: test
Server Adress: www.madsmeskalin.com
User name: madsmesk
Password: ***********
Directory/path:
Protocol: FTP
Port: 21
Website URL: http://www.madsmeskalin.com
When I hit the test connection button, everything checks out fine, and when I publish the page, iWeb tells me everything is well and I can visit my page. When I visit the page I just get this error:
Not Found
The requested URL /test was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I have another page written in Text Editor at the same domain. Does this have anything to do with it? Or are there other settings I should change?

Browser width is user adjustable. iWeb sets the viewport width equal to the page width that you selected in the iWeb Page inspector.
To make your site more compatible use a page width of 980px.
Portable devices like iPhone/iPad have a fixed browser width but each device has two of those since it can be used in portrait and landscape mode. Therefore the viewport would, more sensibly, be set to equal the device width.
To have your webpage fit any device and any browser width chosen by the end user, you need to use a liquid layout which iWeb, and other template based editors, can't do.

As long as the SCCM client is installed on the client machines in Domain B and the service accounts you use have the necessary permissions to run there are very few limitations at least that I have run into.
As for your other question I don't think it matters too much. My setup operates in an environment with 3 domains, There is a one way trust from Domains B and C to Domain A, and Domains B and C have a two way trust. Our SCCM environment (Site servers and
DPs) live completely in Domain B while managing clients across all three domains. I think the only "tricky" thing we have run into is that using a push method for installing SCCM clients on Domain A machines turned out to be a no go (We were unable to get
a service account on that domain thanks to corporate politics, no GPO administration available, and they have a policy against ALL scripts) so we had to install the clients manually.

I want to take this very slowly as I lost a lot of albums from my Homepage way back when there was a large glitch it the system. I don't want to have to recreate sites so need to be sure of what I am doing, step by step.

Upgraded to CS5, now cant publish pages.

Everything was working fine in CS4, and now that I updated to CS5, I cannot publish pages.
The only page I can actually publish is the index.html.
For every other pages, when I try to publish, it says: « Either the Network is unavailable, or you don’t have permission to publish to this location »
I can connect and edit fine, but I get stuck at the publishing part (except for the index like I said)

Publishing iweb pages with other domain host?

Under the File menu in iWeb there is a option called "Publish to Folder"
That folder will contain all the HTML files, etc necessary to create your webpage.
You will then upload (FTP) the contents of that folder to your host.
There are several FTP programs available including Yummy, CyberDuck, etc... are you familiar with FTP'ing?

Our iPads work just fine behind a firewall and the Lightspeed filtering solution in an education environment. If your proxy solution cannot be configured to support IOS maybe you should be looking at another vendor. Products such as 8e6 and Lightspeed can be deployed without the use of a traditional proxy set up.

Cannot publish Webpart - "Invalid SPlistItem. The SPListItem provided is not compatible with a Publishing Page"

I have seen this error message discussed in other posts on the forums here but the solution of deactivating and reactivating server publishing/infrastructure are not working for me. In fact I encountered additional errors when reactivating publishing at
the site level. Powershell was necessary to reactivate site level server publishing.

DeActive and then ReActivate Sharepoint Site Publishing Infrastructure feature at both Site And Web level Scope.
To Deactivate at web level, Open SharePoint Site. Click on Site Actions -> Site Settings, then click on Manage site features and then Deactivate Publishing Infrastructure feature.
Similarly you can deactivate at site level, Open SharePoint Site. Click on Site Actions -> Site Settings, then Site collection administration and then go to Site collection features. there deactivate Publishing Infrastructure feature.
To Reactivate again the feature, follow the above steps.

Publishing to a personal domain name

The Personal Domain button is missing from my Accounts Settings page. How else can I publish to my own domain?

You have obviously entered your personal domain name into your MMe account at some stage and either set up CNAME forwarding or web forwarding for your domain. All you need to do is delete your domain name from your MMe account and then go to your domain registrar and remove the CNAME settings.
However, whether you do this or not, as Tom said, iWeb will publish to MobileMe whatever and will always publish here to you iDisk, so you can always access your site by going to web.me.com/username/sitename. Remember, that this is why you have to set up forwarding, because when you click on publish in iWeb, it never publishes straight to your domain, always you iDisk/MMe account.

How to edit published page?

I created a website using iWeb, published it and now want to edit...but I cannot for the life of me figure out to edit the published page. I can view it...I just can't seem to edit it. Any ideas?

The only way I know to deal with that problem is to:
* Go to your published site.
* Drag images, etc from your published site to iWeb, then use those elements to reconstruct your site.
* Or, do a screen capture of your site (someone suggested Shift-Command-4; I use Shift-Command-3). Then use an imagine processing problem like Photoshop Lite or perhaps iPhoto to crop out material you don't want. Then paste the remaining image into iWeb. It's not idea, but it might save you a lot to time reconstructing your site.
* Another tip is to do your text composition in MS Word, then "Save as Webpage". That way, you have a backup copy of material in a .doc file, in addition to what you have saved in our domain file.

Published Page says "Failed to open page"

I tried to publish my page using a domain I bought with using iWeb as my host but once I try to visit it, it says "Safari can’t open the page “http://www.web.me.com/” because Safari can’t find the server “www.web.me.com”." Did I do something wrong? I can't figure it out. Anything will help. Thanks!

Publishing to a personal domain on .Mac with iWeb08 feature?

I was wondering if anyone could answer a simple question for me. I have a a website I created on iWeb08 and I publish to .Mac. I also have my own domain registered at GoDaddy.com that we call www.mydomainexample.com for ease.
Is there a difference between having GoDaddy forward to my domain name with masking versus having using the iWeb08 feature to publish to a personal domain on .Mac?
Currently if my friends go to www.mydomainexample.com they get my website and no matter where they browse on the site the URL stays www.mydomainexample.com. Is that the same that would happen with publishing to a personal domain on .Mac through iWeb08? Or would it say (again as an example) www.mydomainexample.com/welcome or ..../album or .../blog etc?

So basically publishing to a personal domain on .Mac would remove the portion of the URL that says it is a .Mac account?
So instead of:
http://web.mac.com/macidname/sitename/Welcome.html
If I published to a personal domain on .Mac it would read this:
http://www.mydomainexample.com/sitename/Welcome.html
So it would at least give me a little privacy and get rid of my .Mac ID in the URL I guess.
The way I have it now with forwarding and masking every page just comes up as:
http://www.mydomainexample.com
which is fine but does not allow someone to go to one of the individual pages directly, only the main page I guess
A side question would be then that I thought I heard that if you maintain 2 sites you can't publish to 2 personal domains on .Mac correct? Only one? If that is true can I publish one site to a personal domain and then leave the other forwarded and masked through my domain manager the way I have it already?

How to login CRM 2007 BSP page use account domain of Microsoft AD

I am finding solution to setup system with the requisite:
- Login to CRM 2007 Business Server Page use account domain which is managed by Microsoft Acitve Directory.
- Users use only web browser, they didn't use SAPGUI and they must type username, password ( their username,password are managed in Microsoft AD, not in SAP system) in every login to BSP page, don't use solution like X.509 client certificate.
I used to configured using SNC and I could login to SAP System using SAPGUI without type SAP username and password when I log in my computer by account domain( my computer is joined in domain).
But my requisite is have to use account domain( username and password) and type them in web browser when I want to log in SAP system, could not configured to go to directly SAP application ( BSP page ) without type username/password of account domain.
After time looking for solution about authentication :

I think may be I could login to java portal by used username/password of account domain to authenticate after login to portal I use SSO to switch to BSP page without type username password again. This solution may be accepted because I was login to SAP application from web browser and used account domain.

The normal way to do this is to configure the authentication stack required on a JAVA stack (e.g. portal or standalone Java instance of NetWeaver or dual stack) and then configure the BSP app in SICF transaction to redirect to Java stack when no SSO2 ticket is sent by browser (e.g. user has already authenticated). The redirect to Java stack will be done, such that after user has authenticated to Java stack they will be issued with an SSO2 ticket and redirected back to the BSP app URL. From end users perspective, they will access the BSP app URL and get authenticated using Active Directory, and they won't know about the redirection since they will be logged into the BSP app once they have authenticated.
The authentication using Active Directory can be done using two methods:
- Using credentials already on workstation from workstation logon, e.g. using Integrated Windows Authentication
- Showing user a form where they enter AD account and password.

How to Publish Multiple Websites Using Domain Masking

Let's say I have a mobileme acct called applesoranges, but then I decided not to use this name for my website. Using iweb, I have created a different website called blueberry.com, and was able to figure out how to set up my personal domain and then mask appleoranges so that only blueberry.co, appears.
I now want to add another website called strawberry.com. With one mobileme acct (applesoranges), is it possible to host 2 separate websites, each of which is masking the original mobileme acct? How does one set up 2 separate websites using iweb (each masking the original acct name)?

For every MobileMe account you can only use the personal domain name option and CNAME only once. You enter your first domain name into your MMe account and then go and set up CNAME forwarding at your domain registrar to forward to web.me.com. For any other sites that you create, you need to go to web forwarding. You set-up the other domain names by using masked web forwarding and point them to web.me.com/username/sitename and by masking these will just show your domain name address and not your MobileMe/iWeb url.
Make sure that you separate out your sites, as it will be easier. You can either duplicate the domain.sites files and have one site per a domain file or use a program called iWebSites to help you manage multiple sites.
You also have the option of not using MMe and you can publish to a folder instead and upload directly to each domain hosting space. This gets away from the problem of how to forward sites to iWeb/MMe.

Unable to Check In Publishing Page

I am running into an issue with a custom page layout that I have created. On this page layout I have a publishing html field, publishing image field, and a publishing summary links field. The problem is when I check-in the publishing page
as a draft the content in the publishing HTML fields does NOT save and redirects me to the root page in that web.
I then checked the SharePoint ULS logs and found the following error.

I am getting this same error in SharePoint Server 2013 when creating new publishing pages with a custom Page Layout created using Design Manager. The page uses a custom Content Type isth a required column of "News Type" which I suspect is at the root.
The workaround is to Check In the newly Created page before adding any content, then check it out again. why you cannot check it in after adding any more information than the Name is a mystery.
