Cant receive email since Inbox was overloaded with 100's of emails
A few days ago I received over a 100 spam emails onto my ipad 2 (my website had been hacked by a computer and was generated spam emails, we've since stopped it) and the ipad couldnt download them all at once, they were coming in so fast locking up the screen---the ipad could not think fast enough and deleting them one by one became very slow. Thinking my ipad memory was overloaded with emails, I deleted all these bogus smam emails from the inbox then also deleted the trash can. i owned the ipad since almost a year and have never deleted the trash can, I never thought to do it.
Since then my ipad is not fetching the emails that are going onto my PC.
PC--Outlook 2003 is receiving emails off the server even when I have the program closed. I took the habit of closing it down each time I walk away from it so that I can get my emails onto my ipad in the rest of the house. But since a few days even when I close outlook, the emails are downloading becuase I can hear the ping sound for incoming mail, from elsewhere in the house. I cant figure out why, when I close down outlook, it is still functioning.
I powered down my ipad, that didnt work.
Is it my ipad or is it my PC that is interfering with the emails downloading onto my ipad?
Should I reset my email account on my ipad?
Should I reset my settings and how do I do that as there are about 7 reset choices?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
my ipad 2 is less than a year old. I do not know what operating system it has.

Reset was done already. I narrowed it down to my PC MS outlook program. When I shut down my PC the outlook program turned off, enabling new incoming emails to come to my iPad. Thanks Problem solved.

For your work email, do you use a well known server or do you use their own server? Their server IMAP and SMTP addresses might of changed or you entered them in wrong. It might be something with your router but unless you blocked every incoming connection, then it should work. I would talk to your tech guys at work to see if it is on their end.

if it don't work on both wifi and 3g then likely it's the email account settings which are incorrect set
and you should go over them 1 by 1 with the guide from the email provider as how to setup their mail service
if it works over wifi but not 3g then likely your carrier blocks the port your mail provider require -

Cant receive emails from outlook
Need help please....cant receive emails on my iphone from my outlook....send is fine. i have talked with the cust service people and we had it working and then it just stopped...i dont get it but im sure its very simple. i have tried deleting and adding account again but doesnt seem to work....any suggestions?
Any error message provided when the account is checked for new messages with your iPhone?
Do you leave Outlook on your computer launched and running actively checking the account for new messages while your iPhone is doing the same?
If so, this can pose a problem. Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only. Only one email client at a time can be communicating with the incoming mail server - checking the account for new messages and/or downloading new messages received at the incoming mail server.
If Outlook is launched and running, quit Outlook to see if this makes any difference with your iPhone. -
hallow, I just created a few user accounts in exchange server 2007 and put then in group but these users can sent emails but they cants receive emails, I removed them from active directory then recreate them again in AD and make new mailbox in exchange server
again and the same issue cant receive emails. I made another group and I put one of the user in that group but the same thing happen.
I have more than 1000 users and all working fine, and its internal mail.

According to the description, my understanding as below:
1. There are more than 1000 users on the Exchange server and working well by themselves.
2. Creating few users (working well by themselves) and adding them to a DL. If a user send emails to the DL, the DL cannot receive.
3. Re-creating users and DL, however the issue remained.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.
Suggestions:
1. Please verify whether this issue occur in OWA.
2. Please verify whether the sender can find the DL from GAL via OWA.
3. Please try to compare the attribute on DL and normal user, especially the LegacyExchangeDN, Mail, ProxyAddresses, EmailAddresses, PrimarySmtpAddress via ADSIEdit.msc.
4. Please double check whether you have settings on Message Delivery Restriction on the DL.
5. If you have a large environment with multi-DCs, it seems a Replication issue between DCs. I suggest restarting the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant Services after creating the DL.
6. When the DL didn't receive the message, did the sender receive a NDR? If yes, please paste the details without sensitive information for the further troubleshooting.

I'd try out the following troubleshooting steps and see if that resolves the issue and lets you receive mail again:
Restart the iOS device.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.

Is your alternate email account still valid and active? Is all information entered correctly in the settings on you iPad? A little more information would help us help you.

Email was hacked, now i cant receive emails.
A few days ago my uncle texted me saying that he received an email from my verizon.net account saying that i was in some foreign country and that i needed him to wire me some money.
obviously my email was hacked, i then changed my pw, and noticed that my inbox was empty where usually i get 20+ emails a day wether it was spam or from whoever. my inbox has been empty for about 4 days now, i have tried sending my verizon.net acount emails from my hotmail account to no avail, it has never showed up. any suggestions?Check in your mail settings to see if email forwadring was turned on.

If you log into your account at your providers webmail page are the missing messages in the inbox there? Thunderbird downloads messages form your inbox on your providers server. If the messages do not make it into your server inbox Thnuderbird can do nothing about that.
Check the Spam folder on the server. Maybe your provider is filtering the missing messages into that folder. -
Cant Receive email on my iPhone 4
My I phone 4 will not sync with my mail the last time it updated was on Fri. This goes on all the time it will start then stop. It says that my incoming mail server is not connecting but I cant find the incoming mail server on my phone. Does anyone know whre I can locate it?

I cant receive any emails.
I have sent myself a test email but received an error saying:

My mailbox is not full as I recently deleted all my emails however on www.icloud.com it says i have 9999+ emails.

BethI've now emptied the email from the phone and attempted to delete the account but it keeps showing up. I've tried deleting it and then returning to the settings and then re-entering the mail under settings and the account still shows. I've repeated attempting to delete the account and then rebooting, and the account still shows. I've attempted to reenter the information to set up a new account, but it won't allow it as the old account is still there.
The one thing I've noticed is that it appears that the phone is continually trying to connect/check for mail as the battery is draining at a rate about four or five times normal.
Thoughts?
