Cant recieve email

I can not send email! I also have over 1,000 emails which is not correct. I have about 300 on my PC so something is fishy! I talked to Apple Support and my warranty just expired a few weeks ago so no help there. I may contact Verizon also to see if they can help since they are my mail carrier. I also can not delete emails at times.
I did two things.
I deleted my email account and then reset it.
I also reset my phone which did nothing.
ANY IDEAS OUT THERE?

Launch internet browser on your desktop computer and login to your BIS account.
Call to your carrier support service and set-up your email settings in BIS account.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Cant recieve emails to my iphone 4

I hav an ip 4 it worked fine until I installed iOS5. Now I cant recieve but I can send. I havee deleted my acounts and restarted by holding in thw home and off button until apple appeared.
Installed my acoounts again and it still do not work,

I've now emptied the email from the phone and attempted to delete the account but it keeps showing up. I've tried deleting it and then returning to the settings and then re-entering the mail under settings and the account still shows. I've repeated attempting to delete the account and then rebooting, and the account still shows. I've attempted to reenter the information to set up a new account, but it won't allow it as the old account is still there.
The one thing I've noticed is that it appears that the phone is continually trying to connect/check for mail as the battery is draining at a rate about four or five times normal.
Thoughts?

I cant send or recieve email on my iPhone / iPad when on WIFI - when I turn off WIFI, it all works fine on 3G. I tried to delete my exchange-account, and then both gmail accounts works fine on wifi. Any thoughts?

Make sure that your router is setup to not block any ports.
as well check with your ISP to ensure those servers are not blocked.
you shouln't have any issues with receiving mail. the outgoing would be the only issue you should be having.
make sure you add an alternate SMTP server (using your ISP's server) to send email when on wifi

If you need to reset you security questions, do not know the answers and no longer have access to that email account, see the last sentence under Note in step 5.

i have contacted 3 online and also been into a 3 store they tried mysim in their handset and it worked but when on of the workers tried theyre sim it said "no service" as usual? they said the phone reads the sim because it asked for the workers sim code?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Not much to go on there. The guess would be that you've set your SMTP server incorrectly - maybe a typo in the server name...?

If this just started, and before you could send and receive just fine, then it is a problem with Mac Mail.
It is IMHO one of the Worst Mail programs ever written.
You are not alone this ends up happening to a lot of Mac Mail users, for No good reason.
It is not you ISP, it is not your settings. It is Mac Mail just decides to stop allowing you to send mail.
If you want it to never happen again stop using Mac Mail and find another Mail program. Any Other Mail program.

Recieve email but unable to send

I am able to recieve email but every time I try to reply to an email the reply sits in the outbox and even a message that the mail has not been sent and the mail remains in the outbox. I have checked all my a
