Cant Record from iMic anymore

We have successfully recorded with this process in the past, now it doesn't work. This is the first time I've tried to do this since purchasing my new Mac running 10.5.5. What has worked in the past is:
We've recorded a vocal and background track onto a Roland VS880. Then we use RCA cable from Master Outs into an adapter that takes the RCAs down to a stereo jack into Griffin iMic which is plugged in to a USB port on the Mac.
I open Soundtrack, and set input to iMic which shows up, and it still does that, and then I record.
Now I plug in the iMic and here a constant clicking and see the meters bouncing, like some background interference. I've tried turning off lights, and it still appears. When we record there is now tons of bacgground messy sounds and the audio is barely audible - the waveform is not even at .10db; We've swapped cables, and used a 2nd iMic we had in the house.
The Sound control panel Input is set to use iMic and Output as Headphones/Built-in as we have Harmon-Kardon Sticks plugged in. (they were there before, and it worked).

hello, this is an offhand question but it sounds like you know about soundtrack pro so i figured i'd ask:
Here's some background, the footage I'm working with
is DVCProHD 1080i, 29.97. That's how it has been
captured, and I've brought in all 8 channels of audio.
The sequences I'm editing tend to be about 6 to 8
minutes long. So, when the cut is ready I'm going to
the browser and I am right clicking on the sequence,
selecting Send to Soundtrack Multitrack project, and
it moves along fine just. When the
project opens in SP2 everything is there and all
tracks are audible. The strange part is that when I
select a single clip, double click it to edit it as an
audio file project, the new project opens up, all 8
tracks associated with the clip are there, but only
tracks 1 and 2 are audible. 3-8 have wave forms, and
register in the meters, but I can't hear them. If I
disable all tracks but lets say #3, I clearly see
activity in the meters palette, but I hear nothing.

On your DVR, have you refreshed via Menu>Customer Support>Top Support Tools>Scroll down to "Auto-fix for MRDVR"?
Any chance that during the exchange process VZ inadvertantly turned off your MRDVR service.

Cant recorde from kontakt music player

I'm currently running Logic Pro on my mac book pro and added Rig Urban workstation with a plug-in Kontakt 4. I can see the plug-in in my channel strip under I/O and I select R for record, but it won't record for specified track. Bigfishaudio was unable to assist. They suggested reloading my software for logic. Is there a setting I'm missing

Are you using a MIDI keyboard to trigger the Urban plugin... or is it the type of plugin that plays loops/samples.
If it's a plugin that plays audio, Apple/Logic hasn't developed AU instruments to record audio in Logic directly. It's a part of the AU spec that has not been developed in the same way VST instruments can directly record their output.

Why my ipod touch 5th cant record audio anymore?

Hi, i have a problem with my ipod which it cant record any audio. I tried to use video recording and the voice memos but it cant pick up the voice. Any ideas what happened to it and how can i fix it? I tried to switch off and reset but still not working.

- Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
- Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Other uses have reported a hardware problem

Printing or even print preview on FF results in a blank page. Tried updating the "Add On" but that didn't do anything either. May have to give up on using FF. when i try to delete a record from the master block it gives me new serial for the transaction and when i try to save it, it says

How to delete a particula record from InfoObject

Dear All,
I got some problem situations and would like some suggestions from any of you.
Problem detail- one process chain was failed due to could not activate an ODS-A
- ODS-A and ODS-B contained InfoObject-0BP_GUID
- errors were found and referred to the InfoObject-0BP_GUID.
- The errors referred to one record composed of incorrect data. I still wondered where it came from since normally, 0BP_GUID keeps only guid.
I'd like to delete the incorrect record.But I do not want any impact to InfoProviders.
I'm not sure how to resolve this case. This has to be very carefully managed because it happened on production system.
Actually, I did find one thread in this forum "Delete SID table content". But I'm not sure whether it could be applied to my case.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Unfortunately you cant delete data without inpacting the data in the. This is how BW works and you will appreciate this because youur transaction data is secured and you wont face any data issues later on. Let me give you an example. Lets sa your ODS or cube stored sales data and in the ODS you have sales org, customer and amount. When you run the report, data is read from this cube /ods, but to fetch the master data it goes to the master data tables via SID. When the transaction data gets loaded and when you try to delete a record in master data, it will let you do.
If you still wish to do, proceed as follows:
1. Delete the data in cube first.
2. Delete the particular record from the master data table.3
3. Reload the data to the ODS / cube.
Without deleting the transaction data in the ODS / Cube the system wont let you delete the data in master data and you will get any of the following messages.
(a) " not all master data could be deleted
(b) "the master data can not be deleted".

Can anyone tell me how to record from the video in or S-video ports, because i've tried the Ulead DVD factory program and the only capture device it could see was the webcam, and it did capture from it
After that i've downloaded the update file that was provided by the support website
The devices that the program could see are the TV tuner and the webcam (which it couldn't access anymore for some reason)
After that i've downloaded a newer update which simply is the same as the last update and seems that someone in the support website directed the link of the new update which they don't have to the file of the previous update which doesn't really do anything.

There are 2 s-video ports; s-video out port is not designed to capture the signals from any external source. The name of this port says everything; its an OUT port!
The s-video-in port must be placed at the right side of the notebook. Dont mix the both ports. But note; this port receives only the video signals. To hear the sounds, use a video cable to connect the sound terminals of the audio device and your computer.
Red: sound right channel
White: sound left channel
The Ulead DVD Movie factory can be used to capture this signal.

Recording from Reel to Reel

I am trying to record from an old reel to reel machine to my MacBook. I have a Griffin iMic and have tried using GarageBand to record the audio.
There are 2 output connection on the Reel to Reel machine -- output to Amp and output to Speaker.
I have tried hooking the iMic to both outputs and don't see much difference at the MacBook (however, it seems the output to Speaker might give a bit more volume).
My primary problem is that the volumes in GarageBand are too low. I have every input slider on maximum (on the iMic input in Preferences and also in GarageBand), but the sound almost never reaches the 50% level in GarageBand. Is there a way to boost this output level ?
Also, is there a plug in to help with noise reduction (to reduce the popping/humming, etc...) ?

Creating Vendor Master Records from HR Master Records

Dear Experts,
I have been using t-code PRAA to create vendor master records from HR master records. The client would like to have one vendor number for a group of employees (in this case external contractors all working for the same company). The system won't allow me to link several PERNR to one LIFNR (i.e. error message).
Is it, however, possible to do this?

Hi ,
PRAA has one to one relation ship , means it created 1 vendor for 1 employee .
If you are using PERNR then you cant use one vendor to may PERNR .
Either create them as individual vendor or else have a manual control system in place where in you will have to create a dummy PERNR and then allocate all the cost to this invidual vendor , if you are paying the check to only 1 contractor for say 100 contract employees you can use this .
else it is a better mechanism and control to have 1 is to 1 in case of employee to vedor .

if i have 2 table with a same column name then in the datatype under parent row node i cant add 2 nodes with the same name.

One option would be to go as mentioned by Padamja , prefxing the table name to the column name or another would be to use the AS keyoword in your SQL statement.
AS is used to rename the column name when data is being selected from your DB.
So, the query Select ename as empname from emptable will return the data with column name as empname.

Hi, I have a audigy and I cant use the record function in multiple programs. Like, when im using the teamspeak and try to open skype, just the teamspeak can record from microphone and skype dont work.

You would have to close your DAQmx reference in one vi before another vi could open one on the same DAQ device. You could have some sort of flag variable, maybe a LV style functional global, that would signal the need for DAQ use. Some sort of arbitration scheme in a separate vi would determine who gets priority over DAQ use. It would then send signals (more funtional globals) to each subvi telling them who should close and who should open. The differenct vi's would have to coninually poll the functional globals to see if they should open or close their session. This will be quite complex.

Cant Use open firefox anymore due to a error

I came back to firefox due to some issues with chrome i had some older version had no issues with it i deleted some old extensions i never neded and so on i had no issues with anything last thing i did i went on twitch and was watching stream and then after that i went to bed i didnt download nor did i get news extensions.After i woke up decided to go on the internet first thing it wouldn't open i went in task manager to see if i opened it i did i waited a bit nothing hapend and i ended the task then i tried it again same thing but after that i got a error firefox.exe-application error under it said like this. I didint know what to do i tried it many times but nothing either i woud get the error or it wouldnt open at all so i reinstaled firefox deleted and the folder too after i instaled the latest version i evreytime i would try to open firefox i would get this error firefox.exe-Application Error and under it : The exception unknown software exeception (0xc06d007e) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812aeb. I dont know what could be the problem something happend to my chrome too for no reason where i cant watch yt vids anymore and here were firefox doesnt want to open anymore and gives me a error evreytime time i try to open it

This is a Windows error when a file is damaged, however please consider seeing a computer technician if you are seeing this in multiple programs.

Cant record into to logic pro 9 using samson l1200 live mixer, System/Pref/Audio input tab says selected device has no input control

Hi Im new to this so bare with me..When I connect my Samson l1200 live usb mixer to my Imac 7,1 Intel duo core 3gb ram, osx10.6.8, via usb cable to record vocals/instruments, in System Pref/Audio/Output tab is set to mixer's UsbAudioCodec driver, (Im able to hear playback into headphones via the mixer, and hear the mic when spoken into it but cant record a track into Logic...System/Pref/Audio input tab says selected device has no input control, Ive set the input/output settings in Logic to UsbAudioCodec but still no good...Would it be either the way the mixer is set up? or is this mixer (Samson l1200) not compatible with my particular Imac? I hope I may be able to help as Im only a student trying to record my band thanks

I perfectly understand your problem.
First... just to make sure, in Logic's preferences /Audio make sure Universal Track Mode IS checked, it should be enabled. (I think it probably is just checking)
Second... if you record a track in a new Logic project and then go to the next track to record an overdubbed guitar part, are both parts recorded on the 2nd track?
What I'm asking is overdubbing working differently for two or three recorded tracks as opposed to overdubbing with an imported track.
What I think is happening is you have the main stereo output being recorded into Logic so if you playback an imported or recorded track from Logic while recording a 2nd track (overdub), both are going to be recorded on the 2nd track.
I took a look at the manual, here's the relevant sections.
34 – SEND – USB input send switch
The USB INPUT switch allows you to select one of
two stereo (or two channel) signal paths to feed the
USB output to send to the connected PC. When the
INPUT switch is in the up position, the USB signal will
feed from the MAIN left right mix. When the INPUT
switch is in the down position, the USB signal will
feed from the AUX 1 and AUX 2 buses which enables
you to create a unique mix to send to the PC.
35 – RETURN – USB return switch
The USB RETURN switch allows you to select one of
two stereo return paths to receive USB audio from
the connected PC. When the ASSIGN switch is in the
up position, the USB signal will return to the MAIN
mix bus. When the ASSIGN switch is in the down
position, the USB signal will return to the last pair
of stereo channels which enables you to playback a
recorded track in the MAIN mix, and you can use the
channels AUX sends to feed any of the AUX buses.
This will let you hear the USB playback tracks in the
monitor mixes.
36 – MONITOR – USB headphone enable switch
Press the USB MONITOR switch down if you want
to hear the signal from the USB return in the
headphones.

Deleting records from infotype 0587 - PF

Hi,
I have a requirement to delete some records from the infotype 0587 which is having the TimeConstraint 1. For that one of my friends suggested me to use the Function module SE16N_INTERFACE to delete those records. Is this method suggestable?
will there be any problem if i delete those records through that function module. Can any body please suggest me.

the function module which your friend suggested SE16N_INTERFACE is used to Display table as full screen..
it cant be used to delete record for an infotype..
And also there is no function module to do forbidden actions.
but there are lot of indirect methods to delete the data. But when a time constraint is set it is not advisable to delete.
Anyways.. you only can do it with DELETE statement in report program.
select single dbtab from t777d into gv_dbtab where infty = p_infty.
delete from (gv_dbtab) where pernr in p_pernr.
OR
delete (dbname) from (work area).
else ..you can use SE16N with editing mode set to active and then delete it .. BE CAREFUL in doing this ... Not to be used in Production.
