Cant record voice in Premiere cs5.5 in my MacBook Pro

The build in microphone is not recognized and nor my USB external mic. I look to change the preferences in Premiere but no way. There is no problem to record in Audition but I wanted to do directly to Premiere as I can do this in Final Cut. I hope there is a solution. Thanks in advanced

My own solution would be to plug a condenser mic into the mic port of the machine. Pick up an XLR to mini cable for the purpose.

Ive even tried opening in itunes and copying from thier but they wont open in Itunes, no message or anything they simple just dont open. its strange because it does open in quicktime player.

First problem: You're fine. The hotter it gets, the more the fans spin up. The computer is designed so that at max load, at max fan speed, it won't overheat (unless it's obstructed by something, e.g. sitting on your bed swallowed by a comforter). It's not the best thing to keep it that toasty for days at a time, but a couple hours at a time shouldn't be a problem.
Second problem: If something in the trash won't delete, just use Secure Empty Trash and it should be fine. Since .torrent files are quite small, it should only take a couple seconds.

InDesign CS5 crashing on 2012 MacBook Pro

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro and am running CS5. My InDesign keeps crashing every time I try to open it. After googling the issue, it appears that happened to a lot of people running CS5 on a 2012 MacBook Pro. Does anyone know how to easily resolve this issue? Illustrator and Photoshop work fine.

No, you'll have to contact Adobe if you want to upgrade to CS5.5. sig just gave you the link to teh Roaring Apps website that lists comapatible software for use with Lion and Mountain Lion. If I were you, I would just go ahead and update to CS6 - or begin using Adobe's Creative Cloud. Since I had purchased a qualifying product (CS6 Design and Web Premium) I was eligible to subscribe to Creatiev Cloud for only $30 per month. Even at $50 per month, it's a great deal - all of the Adobe software you'd ever need for about 1/3 or less of your cable bill.

Please review and consider the following which works for me in Premiere Elements 12 Window 64 bit.
From what you wrote, I suspect that you have DVD-VIDEO widescreen on DVD disc. For now I will assume that you are working in a NTSC setup.
Premiere Elements DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc is characterized as interlaced video with field order lower (bottom) field first. I am not sure how your DVD-VIDEO on DVD was produced - upper (top) field first or lower (bottom) field first. We may have to apply Field Option Reverse Field Dominance at the Timeline level, but for now let us put that aside for a later time.
Insert your DVD disc in the DVD burner tray.
Open Premiere Elements to the Expert workspace and set the project preset manually for NTSC DV Widescreen. How to details for manual project preset setting are found

Then, Add Media/DVD camera or Computer Drive/Video Importer.
The video files from the DVD-VIDEO will be the larger size files and will probably start with VTS_01_1.VOB.
In the Video Importer designate the save location for video file VOB(s) and select Add to Timeline and hit Get Media
to put the files on the Timeline for editing.
If you have more than one DVD disc to "rip", please set up the Video Importer Save In location so that the save in location has a folder for each disc. The fact that all DVDs have the same VTS_01_1.VOB name etc will cause problems if you saved all to the same place as individual files.
Determine how that works for you in your Mac computer environment. We will be watching for your progress.
Others may tell you that you need to convert the VOB to another format before import into Premiere Elements. That is no necessary for Premiere Elements.

Premiere CS5 crash in new Mac Pro 2010

I have two problems:
1. Sometimes when I make double cick in premiere icon, the program don't start. I see the previous premiere window with the 4 last projects, but I can not select anything, because the pointer mouse become a beach ball. I have to turn off the program with Alt+Cmd+esc.
2. The big problem. Premiere CS5 5.0.0 crash editing while I'm making marks In and Out in Source window or playing the timeline. The 3 monitors became black or freeze, mouse disapears, sounds freeze and I have to restart with power button.
I have last Mac Pro 2010, 2,8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, Mac OS X 10.6.4, 8GB RAM, ATi Radeon 5870, 3 x Hard disk 2 TB, 3 monitors connected trought DVI double chanel, and two minidisplayport-DVI double chanel.

I install Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update, and the graphics update from apple but the problem persists. I disconnected two monitors, too.
It's very extrange because I had a configuration system running ok, premiere running ok, everything good, but the system hard disk crashes.
The problem is when I reinstall a backup copy of that system in a new hard disk, then Premiere don't start, and when start then crashes editing. All of the programs are running well, and other adobe CS5 applications, too.
The old hard disk is a Hitachi 2TB (originally from apple), and the new hard disk is a Western Digital caviar black 1TB.
I make the backup system from a *.dmg file. I tried with time machine, with disk utilities and with Carbon Copy Cloner. The result is always the same. Premiere won't start.
I think I have small ghosts inside my computer =)
Maybe is question of a bad clone but this is not a complicated task.
Maybe is question of permits. But I resolve the permits question with disk utilities.
Do you think is question of the clone image?
Now I'm reinstalling a new copy of Leopard SO after formatting the new hard drive western digital 1TB. I will install only the CS5 adobe master collection, to tried in a clean system.

Premiere Pro CS5 on 13 inch Macbook Pro

Has anyone had success running Premiere Pro CS5 on the 13 inch Macbook Pro? It seems to meet almost all minimum specs except screen resolution (1920x800 vs Adobe's recommended 1280x900). That has me worried.
Before any says that it is not powerful enough to run CS5, try and understand where im coming from. Im running Premiere Pro CS4 and editing full HD by using proxies on a 5 year old HP. Im not looking for anything blazingly fast. I just wanna run the software and cut some video.

Todd, as mentioned above, I am running Premiere Pro CS4 on my 14 inch HP laptop (1280x800). Adobe's minimum system requirements for Premiere CS4 is also 1280x900. I have NEVER had any problems using CS4 on my laptop (other than it being a little slow). I have never seen a dialog box too large for my screen. Can you specify which dialog boxes require the 900 pixel height?
I will likly be using an external monitor at home but I want to be able to do some cutting on the road.
I know that MANY of the Premiere users on the Adobe forums are either professionals or simply have enough money to afford very high end systems. This is not the case for me. I accept that there are trade-offs for using a lower end system and I am ok with that.

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro with retina display that does not have a CD drive. I own the Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 & Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended in CD form. Since the new MacBook Pro does not have a CD drive how would I install my previously purchased programs? Is there a download link I can have to download the software then use my serial numbers?

Recording w/ a Steel Series USB headset on MacBook Pro 2012

I bought a MacBook Pro in Feb. of 2013 but am pretty sure its a 2012 model, there is no audio out head phone jack no hdmi and has a dvd drive in it to give you a idea of what model it is.
I want to record audio from my steel series headset and use the mic to record my voice, I am recording all of this for my stream on twitch, the other programs that are in use are adobe flash encoder and Cam twist, I played with soundflower and midi audio but both don't work, I can only get mic no audio from gameplay or anything. I would ideally would love to record myself playing and talking over games using my headset without having to disturb others around me when I record any help please I've tried everything.

any ideas?

You will need to de-activate CS5 on the first computer. Then install it on the 2nd using the same installer file (if from a download) or by inserting the dvd into the computer if purchased on disk. You can mount your first computer as a hard drive on the second computer using target mode.
