Cant register for BIS!!!!!!

So i got a new blackberry today i go on the orange bis site and i enter my PIN and IMEI number it keeps saying this "Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your device to access BlackBerry Internet Service"
why does it say use your device to access blackberry internet service i go on orange bis on my phone and it just says regiser ur email i make a new @blackberry.orange.co.uk account
i enter that on the laptop and it still says the same thing :@
this is driving me nuts
and i do have blackberry data plan

Hey Tariik,
From your device have you gone to Options - Advance Options - Host Routing Table, hit the Menu key and choose Register Now. Once the registration message is sent then try again to setup your BlackBerry Internet Service account. If you are still not able to after this is done then contact your service provider as you may not have the correct service enabled on your account.
Let us know how you make out.

    Suggestions?
    Thanks -

I just viewed the website on my computer, and it appears to be working okay on my end. It's possible that there's a setting in your web browser responsible for what you're seeing. I would recommend trying the following steps:
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.
If I have SOLVED your issue, please feel free to provide KUDOS and make sure you mark this thread as SOLUTION PROVIDED!

  • Registering for BIS

I have a new Curve on Orange UK. It was an upgrade from a "normal" phone so maybe not set up as it would be from a shop. It is the device my teenage daughter uses.
Have finally sussed that the reason daughter cannot use Blackberry Messaging is that the device is not registered (although normal internet access works!)
Have been to the orange page to register devise...used PIN and IMEI only to be told that device is registered with another carrier. I have followed instructions to go to host routing tables and then "register". I have done this a number of times, can see the message being transmitted but nothing changes host routing tables still empty. I have rebooted a number of times including removing battery and still nothing.
I can see on other forums that there may be a problem registering some Curves  on Orange and that it is something to do with server profiles (???)
Can anyone shed any light as this is frustrating my daughter and in turn driving me to distraction. It should be simple yet seems to be a horror.
    With thanks.
    Ian.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Solved! The issue was with Orange. It seems that for some reason despite dispatching and enabling an upgrade they only scheduled the Blackberry Internet stuff to start from the next billing date in this case nearly two weeks hence. The tecnician said they needed to "open a gate" at their end.
The telling sign was that "gprs" in the top right corner is in lower case! If it Blackberry enabled it will be in upper case ie "GPRS".
Normal customer support were saying there was nothing they ould do I would just have to wait. I pointed out the stupidity of this especially as my tariff will actually drop at the nextbilling period so I am not tryingto get services without paying! Eventually they put me through to a helpful guy in their blackberry tech support and he sussed and fixed the problem. We were up and running within 5 minutes.
    Hope this may help others.
    Cheers,
    Ian.

  • HT5687 Its 1 year 4 months of the purchase.  How can I register for the warranty for now.  Please help.

    Hi,
I bought MacBook Pro in Sep/2012.  I did not buy the warranty at the time of purchase.  Its 1 year 4 months of the purchase now.
I lately came to know, that we cant register for apple warranty if we dont purchase it earlier.
However I want to get my Mac covered under the apple warranty.  How can I do so.  Please guide & help.
    Thanks,
    Anita

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to gather information about the state of your computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it on this page. However, you should be cautious about running a program at the instance of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them.
Here's a summary of what you need to do: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait about a minute. Then paste some other text, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking  anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in your browser, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign ($) or a percent sign (%). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for your password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator rights.
The test may take up to a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. There is no indication of progress until it's done. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear in the Terminal window. If you don't see that line within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report your results. No harm will be done.
When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." That's because the forum software falsely identifies something in the post as a violation of the terms of use. If that happens, please post the results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

  • Registering for MyBT

We were customers a couple of years ago with BT, under my partners name, but with my email address. It was cancelled due to connection issues and we were advised to try again in 2014.
I am glad to say that we now currently have a working phone and broadband, however, I cant register for myBT as it keeps logging in as our old account due to the fact that it is the same email address.  As I have opted for online billing I don't have my account number, and I don't know how to fix this.  Can anybody help?

I just changed my residence to the US and now I cant register my new US credit card on itunes cause the state list doesnt match to the US states, what should I do?

Your credit card info, billing address must be the same country as the iTunes store country you registering.
For example, you can’t have a credit card from a U.S. bank with  a U.S. billing address registered in the iTunes store for China.
I tried to change my payment information too, but it happened the same, I can change the information but when I get to the state part, it only shows the other country states
Remove all payment info and save it.
Then change the iTunes store country to U.S., add a U.S. credit card with a U.S. billing address.
As previously suggested, if this does not work, contact iTunes store support.

  • I cant register my "No Problem Guarantee" - Satellite C50-a-179

I have a Satellite C50-a-179 and i have free No Problem Guarantee for my region (Czech Republic).
When I want to register my laptop on www.noproblemguarantee.com this page redirected me on www.nomatterwhatguarantee.com - which is not Guarantee for my region so I cant register my laptop there.
Can anyone please help me, where can I register my laptop for No Problem Guarantee?
    Thanks a lot.

Hi, I have the same problem. And the offer on www.noproblemguarantee.com is supposed to be valid for residents in Czech rep,Estonia,Hungary,Latvia,Lithuania,Poland and Slovakia - as it stands in the leaflet we got in the box with laptop. We got both leaflets - also for www.nomatterwhatguarantee.com for the countries stated above. So I guess the offers are on the same level...
I want my guarantee... what should we do? Thanks...

  • I cant register my new iPod

I cant register my new iPod.
This is because I have no bottom scroll bar. My iTunes wont allw me to use my iPod without registering it and I cant register it beacause it only shows half the page. I click to register then when I get to the second page where all the regulations are, all I can do is click I agree. I cannot click the continue button because it is on the other side of the page and I cant get to it. I have been looking for a way to get a bottom scroll bar but so far I have come up with nothing. I have a brand new iPod I can't use. Very sad. If this helps its a third generation nano. If anyone knows what I should do please tell me.

Make sure your screen resolution is 1024x768.

  • Trying to register for Virtual Developer Day

    Hello
I'm trying to register for Virtual Developer Day in the European time zone but I'cant figure out how to change the timezone....
Clicking on "view your local time" has no effect and clicking on "register online" gives a time out error.
I've tried with Chrome 10, Explorer 7 and Firefox 3.6 but with no luck.
Am I missing something or is the web site broken ?
    Regards
    Paul

View your local time has now been fixed but it simply displays the times
for the event on May 3rd.
I still can't figure out how to switch to the event for May 10th for Europe or are we supposed to register once
and we register for all of the events....

  • Register for Events Generated in a Subvi

    Hi Everyone,
I am a relatively new labview programmer, so please bear with me if any of my questions are simple.
Basically I have a project which has multiple different IO sources with an overall top level control and display program.
To start with, I am writing a driver for a GPS device. The GPS driver reads in strings from the COM port, and then passes them to the GPSParserBuffer, which converts each of the possible strings and puts it into a cluster.
What i would then like is for an event to be generated whenever a new string comes in.
This event will then be passed to a GPS display VI, which will listen to the events, and display only a portion of the information to the User.
at present, the driver and buffer work correctly - i can run my code and the GPS cluster fills correctly.
What I am struggling with is passing this event to the GPS Display vi. The generated event never seems to make it out of the parserbuffer, and hence the GPS display never gets triggered.
I have adapted this from another GPS driver i have seen which works in this way, but i cant seem to get mine to work.
    Thanks in advance
    Ben
Top Level tester VI - GPS.vi runs and fills GPS cluster
    GPS.vi initialise case
GPS.vi read case. Probe "28" and "30" contain the event number, but Probe "32" does NOT - i suspect this is my problem but im not sure what the issue is.
GPSparserbuffer.vi - initialise case where the event gets generated
parserbuffer run case - an event is generated every time the GPS cluster is updated
GPS Display code - register for a data event and put select values from GPS cluster into the GPS Monitor indicator.

If I want to generate event from sub VI what I do is...
    1) Create value change event case associate with any boolean(Say trigger).
    2) Pass boolean reference to subVI.
    3) Generate event using value signaling property node.
    4) In your case you can check for new string and generate event using value signaling property node.
     Check attached VI

  • Cant register email on new BB

    Hey All
wonder if yu could help me. I've just got a new BB( Curve 8520 on O2 pay & go) and I cant register my email address to my new device. Below is some of the things that have happened thus far too help illiminate what ISNT the problem....
....  OLD DEVICE - worked fine got push emails bbim etc etc  Curve 8700 - yh seriously ancient with a jog wheel and everything but its a rugged thing lol)
NEW DEVICE: - when 1st went to register email it advised that the email was already registered to a BB and asked if I wanted to move it - said yes and gt message saying that the old device had been deactivated and no further emails would be sent to it. Everytime I tried it said "problem connecting to the application server please try again"  I went to the O2 store and they tried then decided it was my SIM card as I've been with them for ages and gave me a new 1. Personally I dont go for this as all my push apps worked just fine on my old device with my old SIM. The new SIM is now up & running but when I try I get "Update Failed" after I enter my email address and password.
OTHER INFO: I've managed to download, install & connect to msn messenger. When I try to do FaceBook it fails to authenticate when I go to download the app. I use a hotmail.COM address although based in the UK but I've had the addy for about 15 years and as I've mentioned it worked just fine on my old BB. Its NOT a password issue( also haven't changed that in ages) as I've tested the device by entering stupid stuff in the password field and it knows that thats the incorrect password. I can access the internet fine. I've logged into my actual email account on my lappy and there's nothing wrong with my hotmail account itself.
Soooo hpoefully I've narrowed it down enough for one of y'all to be able to say "ahh yeah just do this" so I can actually have a BB that works again  and you'll also be saving the lives of the people in the O2 store aswell as I intened 2 exact great vegence on them for being useless
    Thanks in advance
    Cruton

    Hello,
It's actually a pity that you've proceeded as far as you have. There is a handy Device Switch Wizard that would have facilitated the entire process for you, but from where you are it's too late to try that.
Given what you have said, there seems to be something wrong at the carrier end. You really have to continue to work with them to get it resolved, escalating through them all the way into RIM if necessary. They have the power to do that, btw...you have no free method to seek support from RIM.
    Good luck!

    thank you

Try to unsign and sign in again.
For FaceTime and iMessage chosse to use your email address instead of your mobile number.
Go to Settings>>Message>>Send&Receive and set your email address.
If it is still not working, unsign your Apple ID and select your mobile number ("+" "country code" "mobile number").
Also check in: Settings>>Message if you turned on iMessage before. Here, turn off "Show Subject Field".
Did you turn on iCloud as well?
